“We seated ourselves at a table , rang the bell for service and within 10 minutes had our drinks. Orders taken and wheeled to us in 10 minutes. The spring rolls with shrimp are yummy, my Pho had a wonderful rich flavor, the reg size was large enough. Will be going back, Gloria our server was fantastic, polite, with a welcoming smile. “We went for New Year’s Eve. Cozy, festive and warm environment on a frigid night. The staff was super sweet and attentive. The menu was extensive and our waitress made some great recommendations. The food came out hot and delicious! My husband had skirt steak w shrimp and rice + tostones. I had chicken w shrimp, rice, beans + maduro. “Goldberg’s Famous Bagels in Pompton Lakes, NJ, is a gem worth visiting! My experience here was nothing short of phenomenal, and I’m happy to share my thoughts.

First off, the location is super convenient with plenty of parking inside the plaza, which is a big plus for anyone familiar with the parking challenges in this area.

The staff are absolutely wonderful—courteous, respectful, patient, and extremely welcoming. Their friendliness makes you feel right at home as soon as you walk in. A younger gentleman, who I believe might be the owner or manager, was particularly helpful. He went above and beyond to recommend a bagel option for me when the one I originally wanted was out of stock. His recommendations did not disappoint, and I truly appreciated the effort he made to ensure I had a great experience.

Though I visited after lunchtime, which explains why a few options were unavailable, it’s understandable given the popularity of the place. Even then, the overall atmosphere and the attentive service more than made up for it.

The bagels themselves? Amazing. Fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you’d expect from a place with "famous" in the name.

All in all, Goldberg’s Famous Bagels deserves five stars for their fantastic food, excellent service, and welcoming atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great bagel experience!
