“So I have driven by this place for way too long without ever stopping in or looking into it further. So tonight we're going to friends house to have a group Christmas cookie bake. And I said You know what why don't we try bringing Polish food, as my wife is Polish and she considered trying to make pierogi as part of the Christmas cookie bake.

So I ordered four dozen pierogi of different flavors, kielbasa and onions, and stuffed cabbage. I went over to pick everything up this morning and I walked in and it was like a Polish heaven. Imagine a deli, many grocery store, and bakery all combined. They had my order ready they brought it out and the customers had to help me understand what they were talking about because they were all talking and Polish!! So you can't get any more authentic than that.

Upon coming home I was getting things ready, and figured before I brought it to my friend's house I just had to try a few things, which meant try one of everything. Well the kielbasa is probably some of the best kielbasa I've ever had in my entire life. The blueberry pierogi was a new experience and was absolutely delicious... The other pierogies were amazing, and the stuffed cabbage was absolutely delicious.

If you go into the listing on Google and just scroll down you'll see the menu in both Polish and English. Portion sizes are huge, their daily specials look absolutely amazing.

Since ordering from there earlier in the week I was mentioning it to a few people and two other people said that they have been going there for years and the food is amazing.

So don't be like me that drives past it forever before trying it. Go there order lots, and enjoy some fantastic Polish food!!“

Get there before 3;30 PM if you want sliced cheese because they close the slicer at 3;30. I know if I get there at 3;32 PM the slicer is off. “My husband and I were visiting from New Orleans and stumbled on this little spot. Oh wow! The food is amazing! The absolute best sauerkraut I’ve ever eaten. The potato pancake was perfect. “So good! We have been in construction for the last 9 months. All of which was supposed to take 4 month. We haven't been able to cook and Moms Kitchen has been our go to for quite a few nights. “Listen I've tried pizza all over NJ this place absolutely hits different.. Not a thin pizza or a regular its a SQUARE pizza but do NOT get this confused with a Sicilian. Everything is made to order!!! We got a Chicken parm pizza with vodka sauce well done.... They told us 25 mins. Went to pick it up and was chatting with someone who seemed to be the owner. (Didn't ask) I said this is our first time ordering from you, she said your going to love this pizza. She then said I'm sorry it's taking so long with the ricotta... My mind intrigued I said for what, she said, going in the vodka sauce..... I wish I had a picture, but we absolutely destroyed it. Huge chunks of chicken cutlets as well! I recommend not to walk or stroll but RUN to get this pizza! Highly recommend and definitely didn't disappoint I will be back. Also got a list of their specials, which change weekly/biweekly as I was informed.“

“Working at a house in the area and this place was 8 minutes from the jobsite. It's a bit expensive but saves you from running down the mountain so you're paying for convenience. Tried the taylor ham, egg and cheese. It was prepared well and the roll was super soft. Was it New Jerseys best? Definitely not, but overall it was decent. Co-worker got a sandwich off the board, believe it was the Susie. Once again, not blowing your socks off, but still decent. Definitely at the top end of deli pricing but an ok spot to grab a bite. “Nestled in a small strip mall next to the Mahwah train station, this deli is charming, the owner and staff are friendly (it’s family run), and the food is really good. I have been here three times in the past two weeks, and I have been very satisfied each time. I do plan on becoming a regular customer. There are daily soups and specials, the latter of which can be purchased as a single serving or family style (feeds 4-5 people). Each day of the week has its own special item, but the specials remain the same for each day from one week to the next. We recently had the Parmesan Crusted Chicken with Tortellini Alfredo daily special, family style. It was just for the two of us, but we got two entire meals out of it (four individual servings). It was delicious. They have an interesting and eclectic mix of menu items, including empanadas, chicken wings, gyros, taquitos, antipasto, stuffed peppers, sliders (burger, chicken, and pulled pork), meatballs, heroes, soups, salads, and desserts. While they do serve heroes, this does not appear to be the kind of deli where you go for, say, a typical roast beef or tuna fish sandwich with a side of regular potato salad. In the deli case, though, I did notice items like white meat chicken salad, country Coleslaw, green beans oreganata, pasta primavera, cucumber salad, salmon cakes, and stuffed filet of sole. There is a small selection of packaged items (potato chips, pasta), jarred items (pickles, olives, peppers, marinated mushrooms, and condiments), candy, and snacks. There are two refrigerators filled with “Grab ‘n Go” items. They also have a catering menu. For those who may want to stay and eat, there is a small countertop area with seats for four people. There is also a bench at the front window where you can sit and wait for your order to be prepared. You can join their VIP mobile club and receive a discount and daily text messages with a photo of the day’s special and pricing. There is parking directly in front of the store as well as at a right angle in front of the train station. (Those who ride the commuter train usually park on the other side of tracks in a designated parking lot.) If you live in the area, this place is definitely worth a try. “I can't give a full review because it was my 1st time visiting the establishment. I can give a review of what I ordered & of the person that served me. Everything looked & smelled good. The person who served me was kind & friendly. I had the picadillo with white rice, sweet plantains, a fried yuca fritter, & a side of beans. It all was very tasty, with the exception of the fritter. My only qualm was the pricing for what I ordered. It came to $29, including 2 bags of cheese doodles.Would I go back... Yes. Everything looked vibrant & fresh... I wanted to try EVERYTHING.“

My husband had a western egg sandwich and the homemade corned beef hash, which was exceptional. I had a tuna sandwich and while it’s hard to get excited about tuna fish, it was a perfect sandwich. This is the type of neighborhood place that every town had at one point - a place where people met to eat, share the news of the day, connect - and of which there are too few today. A real gem.“

“I grew up in the area and knew Otto when I was a child. I later knew his son Elmud. This is an old style deli where they used to slice cold cuts to order. Their Peppy Potatoe salad and coleslaw is the best on planet earth. There always used to be a big jar of jawbreakers and fireballs at the cash register. The smell of the pickle barrel and deli meats was classic and so good’“
