The owners are right there, hands-on, making so much of the food themselves—from the sauces to the meats—and you can taste the difference. Everything feels fresh, intentional, and made with real pride. They also carry local honey and hot sauces, which just adds to that small-town, quality-first vibe that’s getting harder to find. It’s one of those spots you stumble upon and immediately want to tell people about—but also kind of want to keep to yourself. Great food, genuine people, and that rare feeling that you found something special. We’ll definitely be back… and next time we’re ordering more.“

“The best deli in all of New Jersey if not the country and that is probably an understatement. The value, the quality, and the variety on offer makes this a spot I come to again and again and again. It is so good I did not hesitate to have them cater our wedding. Everyone loved it and remarked how delicious it all was.“

Friendly staff remember the names of return visitors, the whole place is very community-oriented with lots of local sports teams and other happenings being posted along the walls. Food is always fresh and quality, with large selections even extending to sides, such as the freshly made macaroni/potato salads among others. It's my go-to place for breakfast, and their lunch menu is also expansive (and of equal quality!). My biggest regret with this place is that it took me a few years into living here to try them out.“

“I grew up in the area and knew Otto when I was a child. I later knew his son Elmud. This is an old style deli where they used to slice cold cuts to order. Their Peppy Potatoe salad and coleslaw is the best on planet earth. There always used to be a big jar of jawbreakers and fireballs at the cash register. The smell of the pickle barrel and deli meats was classic and so good’“

Italian Hero, Roast Beef & Cheddar, Salami Fresh Mozz & Roasted Peppers are made to perfection.We’ve had them cater multiple events with subs, wings, and apps and we’re constantly having to tell everyone where we got the food.Would give more stars if I could. “As others have mentioned, from a customer service standpoint, I find them very friendly and approachable; their prices are indeed a bit high.

My other critique would be the atmosphere. Sometimes I wonder if they’ve ever cleaned out that big in-wall air conditioning unit to prevent mold…probably not? But hey, it’s convenient for certain things, could just use a bit of love, aesthetically. Imagine if one could actually see in and out of their windows…just that would brighten it up.“

“Great sandwiches! No service complaints. Haven’t had any incorrect order issues either. I’ve come by for sandwiches quite regularly lately. I would recommend the chicken cutlet sandwich and the cheesesteaks (add chipotle mayo, you’re welcome)“

“Great food and staff. I go there often and I have never gotten anything that wasn't delicious. The bagels are amazing. Unfortunately I am now gluten free but their gluten free bagels are very good. The salads and the fries are really good too. The prices aren't crazy and the portions are decent. The staff is always friendly and willing to accommodate any special requests that I may have. This is definitely my favorite bagel shop.“
