“This was my second visit to Tempura Place. It was a Saturday at 3:30pm. I had never eaten any kind of sushi in my 50 years and I decided to dive in here. I've ordered the spicy tuna and the spicy crab. Sense a theme? I guess a total of one person could technically eat-in but this is primarily take-out. I was informed it would take 10 minutes to prepare but it was done before that. I watched Korean Broadcasting Company on the television as I waited. I experienced pleasant service and great food. Waribashi chopsticks were included.“

“The staff is super friendly, and the food is amazing! Since I moved to the area I cannot stop ordering from this place (and I have tried allllll the local poke spots when I am saying this)! They are quite literally the best poke around! And their bubble tea is great too! Highly “

“This place was so cozy and lovely, with such tasty food and delightful service! It was so kind of the owner to give us so many free samples with our food! We ordered the (very well priced) sushi combos, which were two special rolls with miso soup (and I got a boba and some kani salad) and it was delicious. The owner also gave us a pot of green tea, veggie gyoza, the house salad, and some blueberries at the end. She came over often to ask how we were doing. We ended up with leftovers because there was so much food. It was also a very cute atmosphere with doodles from the customers all over the walls. I would definitely come back!Vegetarian options: There seemed to be at least one vegetarian option in all the sections.Parking: It was relatively quiet when we went so the lot might fill up if there are more customers but I had no problems.Kid-friendliness: There were markers, notepads and a sheet to doodle on, if any customers came with kids. I didn’t but I doodled anyway lol.“

“Small and absolutely perfect. Make reservations! Also open for lunch on some days and there is a sushi bar available. The sushi is unique in that each piece is individually wrapped in sustainable plastic so the nori retains its crunchiness. Have you ever noticed that nori on typical sushi is soggy? I didn't either, until I tried the crunchy nori at Nami Nori. So good! The whole table was raving about it. We had a business lunch here with 6 guests from NYC and LA. Everyone thought it was spectacular. It was a wonderful way to show off the amazing restaurant scene in Montclair. Beautiful minimalist space. Pretty expensive so date night or special occassion appropriate. Will be back!Vegetarian options: They are good about veg options. Several on the menu.Dietary restrictions: They ask up front and seem very diligent. “The food is quite tasty (had the ramen & wings appetizers which were delish) and the service (server *Kenny* made us feel welcome and actually listened to us and went ABOVE & BEYOND with great service & hospitality) & the ambience & vibe were well lit - and the decor was very pretty and lush all at very affordable prices. Minimal wait times to get in. Great to hang out with small and large parties with PLENTY OF PARKING. Would come back again. Thank you !“

“Anyone giving this proprietor less than a 4 rating has issues. This is not Nobu or Le Cirque. This is a small, relatively new establishment that has extremely fresh sushi, roll, and bowl options, prepared by a properly trained Sushi chef with exceptional presentation skills. I have frequented many restaurants, and the presentations, taste, and variety of options at KFPH are on par if not better than most. The problem with bad reviews/reviewers is that they often focus and provide a review on something that the recipient is unbale to control. “I am very impressed with this restaurant. It’s not big, but it’s very comfortable. The lighting is just right, the music is not loud but more than anything. The sushi is delicious. The rice is perfectly cooked and the rolls are very good. Seaweed salad was great. No fishy smell or liquidy after taste. I also love the presentation. “It's been years since I've been to this place and I must say that the quality of the sushi, the extra large rolls, and most importantly, the taste makes this place stand out among the other sushi places in the area. Owners are friendly and personable and the fish is always fresh. If you haven't been to this place in a while, I absolutely recommend giving it another try.“

“Chomi Cuisine makes terrific sushi and other delicious Japanese and Korean dishes. Having lived in Japan for 6 years, it's always fresh fish/ingredients, excellent rice which makes a big difference in taste/quality and they are super friendly with great takeout service. Very good value for money as well.I believe their sushi is better than Kenko sushi nearby. I highly recommend Chomi!“

“We are local but never stopped in before. My wife and I, one daughter and her fiance came in during the week between Christmas and New Years. No one was sitting down but it was a little early and there was a lot of take out order activity the entire time we were there.Three of us ordered a total of 8 different rolls and some rice/noodles for my wife . I has the Crunchy Tempura Shrimp roll and the Cream Cheese roll with crab and I would order both again. Everyone enjoyed their selections and other then the noodles and rice, our plates were clean. My wife took what remained for her noodles and rice home as leftovers. We also ordered the Thai Donut to share for desert, based on other reviewers suggestions, and it was really good.Towards the end of our meal, another 2 groups came in and sat down so we weren't the only ones sitting down to eat. We will come back for sure to get items we liked and try out some others.“

“Food was plentiful but as another reviewer mentioned their Kani stick isn't the best so try to avoid ordering rolls with that. We appreciate that they had a kids menu and the other rolls were great. Spider roll was a nice surprise in that there was a full crab in there. We ordered to go and food ended up taking an hour to get ready so just keep them in mind when you order out. They're pretty busy. Overall, it was pretty good but we'll probably stick to some other sushi joints.“

“We ordered the mizu, kiss of summer, Naruto, jade, and Verona and they were all so fresh and delicious. Lots of fish and lots of flavor. I do think the mango could be more ripe though. Tap water also wasn't my favorite but don't let that prevent you from getting this great sushi. Although we couldn't have any of the sauces that came with the rolls since they had gluten, they did have GF soy sauce which was great. The server didn't have much personality and we did have to reconfirm what sauces had gluten and which didn't and had to ask for a second GF soy sauce as well even though in the beginning we did say there are two of us. Pretty empty at 5pm on a Sunday and plenty of free parking (on Sundays) around the corner.“

“Had Dynamite avocado spicy tuna roll ten piece..was a beautiful presentation and a delicious complex tastes with the avocado which added creamy texture , had the spiciness of the sauce, the tuna, and the sweet crunch of the apple was bursting with layers of flavor. The miss soup was exceptionally good. Would definitely recommend this little gem for any sushi lover. What it lacks in atmosphere it makes up for in flavor. Pricing is reasonable.“

I ordered 3 rolls - Hot Jenny roll, Christmas roll, and Viki hand roll. I strongly recommend all of these three - the taste was eye-opening (even more delicious than I could imagine in my life!) and I can tell this restaurant uses very fresh ingredients as well as doesn't cheap out on ingredients at all. “Was here on a Thursday for lunch and it was good. Their seared salmon appetizer was good. They torched it and added a smokey flavor to it which was great for me since I like the smokey flavor. The ramen was spicy but good and the Domodachi Lunch set was abundant and good. Parking wasn't bad for a weekday and service was prompt.“

That's the kind of service that I prefer over the way too many new, overpriced fancy restaurants in town. It's low key, which I also prefer. The food is very good - my favorite is the mango tango roll.“

“We really like Masago! We've been ordering their lunch specials for about a year, and the food has always been fresh and consistent with reasonable pricing for the 3 roll combo. We look forward to it every week. Once you order from them on the phone, you can leave your food and payment preferences on file, so calling them and re-ordering is super quick. Delivery during lunch time is usually within 30 minutes, and they will leave the food on your porch if you ask.“

“This is probably one of the best sushi places I've been too. They have lots of vegetarian options! The place has a nice Japanese feel. It also has ample parking in the back. It's byob and there's a wine store literally 1 block away. As for what we got. Unfortunately they don't have the lunch menu on the weekends but that is no where written in there menu. We got the vegetarian tempura. It came with different fried vegetables like broccoli, mushroom and onion. It was ok. We ordered 4 rolls and I will present them in order of my favorite. The mango potato was the best. I loved the sauce and the texture of the fried sweet potato. Next was the pineapple. I loved the sweetness without any needed added sauce to top it. Then was the bugs bunny. It has lots of veggies and a nice Chipotle sauce on top. My least favorite was the Nori jade. I felt the Avocado was too mushy. “My sister and I decided last minute to go out to dinner and we landed at Toro Sushi. I actually used Google assistant to call the restaurant for me and reserve a table 15 minutes before our arrival. Toro was half full when we arrived at 7pm on a Saturday but, by 8pm it was full so, our timing was perfect. Everything we ordered was excellent... edamame, tuna avocado salad, Congo roll, New York roll, tuna roll and salmon roll. Service was wonderful. We weren't rushed and food came out quickly. I'm definitely bringing my husband here the next time we visit my sister.“

The owner came over to wish Gary a happy birthday and they even made us fried Oreo’s for a delicious birthday desert. It was a wonderful time. Definitely worth the price.
