“Went here for a quick lunch with my son. Food was good, very quick and then we left. I realized I left my entire bag at the restaurant the following morning. Got there around noon and the woman at the counter had taken my purse and put it away for me. She was a god send! Everything I need was in that purse and she saved me a huge headache! Thank you so much for your hospitality and being so honorable!“

“Me and my friend visited Konoz today (02/09/2024) Ms.Sabia (sorry if I've misspelled) and the whole team were amazing. Ms. Sabia gave her home made Puerto Rican hot sauce for me to try and it was delicious. She and the whole staff were very happy kind and professional. Kajen Burgers we had were amazing. Thanks for the ambiance, the great service and the delicious food.“

“I've lived in this area for almost a decade, but had not yet found Latin food that could compare to what I had growing up in Union City and when I lived in the city and visited Washington Heights. Until now, that is! Surrender Cafe recently became available on DoorDash. I had never heard of it, but was drawn by the great reviews, tempting photos of the food, and many of my favorites on a menu with lots of my favorites. This is the first time I've ever ordered from a place, and then immediately again the next day. I especially love that so many of their dishes are available in smaller portions. Want to try the mofongo? Here's the mofonguitos! And meat-only portions can be had of just about everything in small, medium or large sizes, which made it easy for me to sample the beef and chicken guisado, red and black beans, pernil, so I ordered the bistec ecebollado for my main dish. Everything, absolutely everything is delicious, and arrived well packaged. Oh - and I almost forgot - the tres leches! Absolutely top notch. Not only some of the best Latin food I've ever had, but some of the best comfort food I've ever had, period.“

“The place has such a vibe. The food is just delicious. I had a bacon egg and cheese and a chicken cutlet sandwich. We all have that sandwich spot. The one we like the bread at or the coffee or the way we get treated. This is my spot now. Customer service made you feel right at home. The vibe made you want to stay and relax for a little. Take some time and read this memo the owner has posted by the register. I should have taken a picture but the one line that stop out to me, If you need to vent do it because I will vent to you. “Very good, one of the best lunch options in the neighborhood. There are quite a few similar food establishments in the area but for me this is a top spot. Their daily specials for lunch are great options, the place is clean and feels authentic.“

“Torres Cafe & Catering did the catering for my Father's 70th Birthday Celebration on February 24, 2024! The food was exceptional! Everyone asked me who was the catering restaurant?! I let them it was Torres Cafe & Catering! My guest and I loved every dish! The guest was so in love with the yuca! I am pleased with the service, the wonderful job on all the dishes, the flavor was outstanding! It means a lot that you all delivered to the event! Service was above and beyond my expectations! “This place took over a popular breakfast diner near Newark Airport and all signs now say "Cafe con Pan" outside. But inside, the 2-person cook staff was wearing "Esquina del Coqui" t-shirts. We ate a hearty portion of bacon and eggs, a light and well cooked potato ball stuffed with beef and some very good cafe con leche. They have lots of empanadas and pastries in a case, they bake custom cakes, and have some chafing dishes of meat and chicken stews. Didn't try that so can't speak to the main dishes. Very nice team and very welcoming. Lots of truckers coming in for takeout so assuming food is pretty good. Certainly cheap. Sidewalk seating available too.“
