My cousin fly in to see a broadway show and of course I had to take her to Havana Central. I am still adjusting to the closure of the Havana Central location in Garden City. Would really love it if they would consider opening another location in the Queens, Long Island area.“

“I’m certain that most people who drive by this corner / intersection have a hard time understanding why it’s around noon and there’s a line of about 50 people waiting for a food truck to open for business, me included. But take my word for it as soon you take the first bite and your taste buds take a swim in all those authentic Puerto Rican flavors / seasonings you will fully understand and long line. This is food porn at it’s best, both in flavor and presentation. If you’ve been searching for that old school grandma’s kitchen recipe experience you’ve come to the right place. Unfortunately unless you were raised in puerto rico or as a kid spent a lot of time at grandma’s house, a plate of arroz con gandules, pernil, camarones, ensalada de pulpo, accompanied by a healthy serving of perfectly cooked pork shoulder, not to mention the crunchy skin and the burnt ends accompanied by some home made garlic sauce you get as a bonus may not make sense to you, but is a mixture of deliciousness that you will not forget.“

But unfortunately my friends informed me that it wasn’t made right, so when I got back home I wanted to try again and boy was I not disappointed! This was the best !! “We celebrated my mother’s 60th birthday surprise dinner with 50 guests and it was a very lovely experience. Niurka upon meeting her was very sweet charismatic and ensured to answer all of our questions before booking the space. We kept in communication to make sure everything was right before the night of the dinner. The night of the dinner she made sure everything was set up before our arrival! Every person working that night was professional, friendly, attentive and efficient. The food was amazing as well. This was my first time here, and I will definitely return for another dinner night!“

“My family discovered this wonderful restaurant just in time for my father's birthday. Puerto Rican restaurants are rare in Long Island, so it was a delight to come here and enjoy delicious authentic Puerto Rican food! The portions were extremely generous and all 4 of us loved every item we ordered. Felix was our server and he was very friendly and made us feel like family. I can't wait to come back and try everything we didn't get to order!“

“The pasteles were delicious! I took a chance since I saw this add first on Facebook and I was not disappointed. They deliver to NJ at an additional cost. Los pasteles muy ricos!! My daughter loved their food and loved their potatoes in their stew chicken and they made my daughter feel special by giving her extra while eating and to take home . Felt like I was with family.
