“Raku Sushi in Ringwood is easily one of the hidden gems of North Jersey. I have been to a lot of sushi restaurants over the years, and this place consistently delivers some of the freshest, most delicious food and friendliest service around. Every time I walk through the door, I feel welcomed and appreciated, and that kind of experience is hard to find these days.

The quality of the sushi is outstanding. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, and you can tell that a lot of care goes into every roll and every dish that comes out of the kitchen. The specialty rolls are creative, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. No matter what I order, I am always impressed. The fish is fresh, the rice is perfectly prepared, and the portions are generous.

What really makes Raku stand out is the consistency. Whether you’re dining in, picking up takeout, or ordering for a family dinner, the food is always excellent. There are very few places where you know exactly what you’re getting every single time, and Raku has maintained that high standard year after year.

The atmosphere is cozy, clean, and relaxing, making it a perfect spot for a casual lunch, a dinner with family, or even a date night. The staff is always polite, attentive, and genuinely kind. “After a very long day, I came in get a bite to eat before I went back to traveling. The food is delicious. The staff is incredible. They will go the extra mile for you (literally). After ordering and eating entirely too much delicious food the couple who owns the restaurant gave me a ride to the bus station. “If I still lived in the area, I would be dining here at least once a week. But alas, I do not! Once a month, I come in for lunch, and I am never disappointed. The lunch menu is my favorite, with dishes offered only at lunch. Get the Kamo Nanban or the 2 for $20 special! Dinner is also wonderful! Hands down best sushi!“

Last week was a special delight to meet my old friend Judge Sam Coleman and his wife who were up visiting from Boca where they have retired. Sam loved the food too. Suggestion: It would be a great place to go on Motzei Shabbosim now that the clocks have changed.“
