If you’re looking for the best Sushi in the area, and you’re not sure where to go.. go to EPOCH! I tried their food a couple years ago and it was amazing! Recently, they changed up most of their menu… and finding this out I was skeptical. But let me tell you, the sushi was the best I’ve ever had from any Sushi place in like an hour radius.
The environment inside this place is very warm, and relaxing. Good music was playing. Staff were so friendly. My 3 friends I brought with me, also said it was by far the best sushi they’ve ever had yet.
I and my friend will be back for sure!

“Raku Sushi in Ringwood is easily one of the hidden gems of North Jersey. I have been to a lot of sushi restaurants over the years, and this place consistently delivers some of the freshest, most delicious food and friendliest service around. Every time I walk through the door, I feel welcomed and appreciated, and that kind of experience is hard to find these days.

The quality of the sushi is outstanding. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, and you can tell that a lot of care goes into every roll and every dish that comes out of the kitchen. The specialty rolls are creative, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. No matter what I order, I am always impressed. The fish is fresh, the rice is perfectly prepared, and the portions are generous.

What really makes Raku stand out is the consistency. Whether you’re dining in, picking up takeout, or ordering for a family dinner, the food is always excellent. There are very few places where you know exactly what you’re getting every single time, and Raku has maintained that high standard year after year.

The atmosphere is cozy, clean, and relaxing, making it a perfect spot for a casual lunch, a dinner with family, or even a date night. The staff is always polite, attentive, and genuinely kind. As someone from the area, I can honestly say that Ringwood is lucky to have a restaurant like this. I only have come in once, every other time I order on Uber eats because I’m lazy tbh. It ALWAYS slays, they do a fantastic job! Best sushi ever! I honestly make up reasons to order this sushi. Good hair day? Ohmysushi. Got out of bed? Ohmysushi. Just a nice day out! Ohmysushi. Fantastic work here, very tasty, fresh and clean. “The food is top notch. From the soup to the sushi. Even the ice cream is delicious. What really bothers me though is the service. There is a 90 minute time limit which I get but when you are rushed to get out by an hour that’s not right. Also when you’re hounding tables waiting to literally take a plate because you have nothing else to do that’s a problem. Finally when you’re coming up to tables and asking them for platters back because you don’t have enough supposedly that’s not good either. Last night I was hounded constantly. Twice I had people tell me to move my sushi to my paper plate because they needed the platter. May I suggest buying more platters. Love the food and yes I know I’ll be back but the service was ridiculous in your face. Don’t come here for date night because they don’t leave you alone“

“I've been coming here on-off for about 3 years, I think? It's a lovely, quiet place. I'm rarely in the mood for sushi but from my occasional hunt, the bulgogi roll lured me here. And the simple atmosphere & excellent service made me come back again, and again. Although I don't have many pictures of my dining or pickups from here, I highly recommend the bulgogi or pink salmon special (seared roll)

“If you get an urge for some sushi and want to go, pick it up and head home, this is the place for you. The sushi is pretty much restaurant quality and nothing like the sushi you get from any of the supermarkets. The place is shinny and new and the staff are all great. Good local spot for lunch.“

A master sushi chef straight from Tokyo, or Fukuoka, or Hokaido, sitting in Shoprite taking orders?They make good sushi when it's just made. “Recently We had dinner here .it was our first time .as soon as I walked in I was attracted by the unique decorations here .it was well themed atmosphere, I felt calming and welcoming and my kids love the fish decorations.

The food here is great . They have creative sushi menu.there is so many exotic rolls you can choose and they offer kids menu .

“We came for a quick and relaxing Saturday night meal. We were seated at a booth. The owner served us as she ran around managing all aspects of the business. We ordered scallion pancakes as a shared appetizer and I had a cup of wonton soup. My entree was chicken Mei fun and my dinner guest had pineapple chicken with brown rice. The portions were ample and all food was prepared and presented well. The scallion pancakes were crispy and not dripping in oil. The wonton soup was tasty and not salty. Overall we had no complaints. The business does what appears to be a greater pick up business than dine in. The restaurant decor is pleasant. We certainly will come back.“
