“We have been coming here for years, and Jimmy and Andy always treat us like family! We drive from Orange County and are never disappointed. The sushi is amazing, among my favorites are the Mango Tango roll, Tiger roll, Tri Color roll and Tuna Amazing! The appetizers are small enough portions to try everything without waste!! It’s All You Can Eat, so easy to order more of what you like! But perfect sized appetizers so you don’t fill up before the sushi arrives! The sushi is always fresh and plentiful and the staff’s attention to details is unmatched. When the owners truly care about their customers, it shows and is appreciated! I have sent at least 20 friends to their restaurant who are now loyal customers on their own!! Thank you AJ’s for going above and beyond!“

“Positive vibes and a great experience. I’ve visited this place several times in person, and I’ve also done takeout a couple of times. The most recent time was takeout. I needed to feed a small group and asked about platter offerings, but was told they don’t have any set menus. They asked what I was looking for and made some recommendations to fit my needs and requested budget.

To say that I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. They delivered and then some. It was a combination of various sushi, regular rolls, and specialty rolls.

They also asked about any potential allergies in the group, along with any specific preferences or dislikes.

The food was fantastic in taste and presentation. It was well packed and came with plenty of ginger, wasabi, and miso soup. They also gave me delicious tea while I waited for them to complete my order.

I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back.“

If you’re looking for the best Sushi in the area, and you’re not sure where to go.. go to EPOCH! I tried their food a couple years ago and it was amazing! Recently, they changed up most of their menu… and finding this out I was skeptical. But let me tell you, the sushi was the best I’ve ever had from any Sushi place in like an hour radius.
The environment inside this place is very warm, and relaxing. Good music was playing. Staff were so friendly. My 3 friends I brought with me, also said it was by far the best sushi they’ve ever had yet.
I and my friend will be back for sure!

“After a very long day, I came in get a bite to eat before I went back to traveling. The food is delicious. The staff is incredible. They will go the extra mile for you (literally). After ordering and eating entirely too much delicious food the couple who owns the restaurant gave me a ride to the bus station. The woman who served me was kind and kept me company while I was alone. Really one of the best experiences I have had in the entire state of New Jersey. Thankful for people like you.“

“Raku Sushi in Ringwood is easily one of the hidden gems of North Jersey. I have been to a lot of sushi restaurants over the years, and this place consistently delivers some of the freshest, most delicious food and friendliest service around. The quality of the sushi is outstanding. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, and you can tell that a lot of care goes into every roll and every dish that comes out of the kitchen. The fish is fresh, the rice is perfectly prepared, and the portions are generous.

“We had dinner at Matsu on Friday......its a little gem in Hillsdale. We were pleasantly surprised, by the quality and quantity of the food. The Staff went out of their way to accommodate us. They very friendly and warm. It was a most enjoyable dinner. We have ordered food to takeout but hadn't been inside the restaurant since the pandemic.... We will definitely go again soon. “Updating my review because I have since eaten at Masa several times for lunch and dinner, including the omakase course! My original review is included below. Masa is some of the best sushi you can get in the area, and at a reasonable price. The omakase course is sooo good, and at $90 it's much cheaper than other omakase options in the area and in NYC. It is definitely worth the price, and make sure you come hungry! The omakase course is perfect for a nice date night or to celebrate something, especially since you can bring your own champagne or other alcoholic beverages since the restaurant is BYOB. I can't recommend Masa enough if you're in the mood for sushi!
