“We truly enjoyed our time at the sushi bar. My son absolutely loved the experience, especially collecting and disposing of the plates to earn points. The sushi was very fresh, provided it had not been on the belt for too long, and we would also recommend ordering the hot food. The robot was charming, and we enjoyed having it deliver our drinks. We also appreciated the restroom facilities, which featured heated seats and bidets. While we were unsure about the availability of prizes, our waiter kindly provided a charm for our son. We had a wonderful time and look forward to visiting again in the future.“

“The CRAZIEST thing has happened!!!

I have never experienced such high-effort service before. I was out for an early birthday dinner with a few family members, my uncle in particular, enjoys his drinks with ice (lol who doesn’t.) However, after he ordered his signature coca-cola, we were told there was no ice left. Understandably, my uncle was very upset and made it clear to the worker.

Just then, as we were receiving our sushi order, a very kind man named Michael noticed this concern, and told us he was going to the store to get ice. He went out of his way to leave the place, go to CVS, and FREAKING PAID FOR A GIANT ICE PACK JUST TO GIVE MY UNCLE AN ICED DRINK. He basically paid for our drinks if you compare prices. I have never experienced or witnessed this type of outstanding service before.

At first, we didn’t believe it at first, we even bet 5 bucks because we swore we just misheard him. 5 minutes later, he comes back with a giant iced cup just perfect for my uncle to pour his cola in. When was the last time you’ve experienced this?

And on top of that, he served us ice cream dessert on the house!!! We spoke to him for a bit, he even recognized us and where we sat all times we ate here in the past months. He is a very kind man. Shoutout to Michael!!!!!!“

“Positive vibes and a great experience. I’ve visited this place several times in person, and I’ve also done takeout a couple of times. The most recent time was takeout. I needed to feed a small group and asked about platter offerings, but was told they don’t have any set menus. They asked what I was looking for and made some recommendations to fit my needs and requested budget.

To say that I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. They delivered and then some. It was a combination of various sushi, regular rolls, and specialty rolls.

They also asked about any potential allergies in the group, along with any specific preferences or dislikes.

The food was fantastic in taste and presentation. It was well packed and came with plenty of ginger, wasabi, and miso soup. They also gave me delicious tea while I waited for them to complete my order.

I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back.“

“After a very long day, I came in get a bite to eat before I went back to traveling. The food is delicious. The staff is incredible. They will go the extra mile for you (literally). After ordering and eating entirely too much delicious food the couple who owns the restaurant gave me a ride to the bus station. The woman who served me was kind and kept me company while I was alone. Really one of the best experiences I have had in the entire state of New Jersey. Thankful for people like you.“

“We had dinner at Matsu on Friday......its a little gem in Hillsdale. We were pleasantly surprised, by the quality and quantity of the food. The Staff went out of their way to accommodate us. They very friendly and warm. It was a most enjoyable dinner. We have ordered food to takeout but hadn't been inside the restaurant since the pandemic.... We will definitely go again soon. A family run establishment with a single sushi chef that shows dedication in the meals he creates. Passing through the area I stopped in and requested an Omakase at the bar and was given a wonderful experience! The multi course Omakase featured some unique dishes such as Chuka Idako, fried Shishamo, Madai, Hotategai, Chutoro, Maine Uni and Chawanmushi. Overall this was a pleasant experience with a good atmosphere and tradition dishes you may not find at your typical sushi restaurant 6.7/10.“
