I normally don't like White pizzas but the square white pizza here is one of my go to orders. The cheese steaks here are also excellent. The quality of the meat is quite a bit higher than typical. I don't eat a lot of cheese steaks but this would be the place I would get them.“

“I’ve been coming here since 1964 and it’s still just as good! Hands down- best pizza in Philadelphia! The brothers/brothers in law have retired, but one of the sons is carrying the legacy forward. All they sell is pizza and soda, and only beef and beef pepperoni toppings. It’s no frills, but worth the ride I make every so often from Chestnut Hill. I only wished they took credit cards and stayed open later, but I understand. If you’re a pizza snob like me, do yourself a favor and try King of Pizza?“

“I’ll start by saying the only reason this didn’t get five stars is that it took an inordinate amount of time to get the pizza. To the point where I thought we were forgotten as there weren’t that many tables…super friendly service but the oven can only cook seemingly 1-2 pizzas at a time so it takes a WHILE (probably ~40 minutes order to table). But if you have the time, the pizzas are amazing.

Started with the short rib special. This was pretty good. I didn’t feel like the salsa verde added much. Crust ever so slightly burnt but in a way that I enjoyed.

The true star, though, is the Fun Guy. The caramelized onions on this pie elevated it to another level I’ve never experienced and may be one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. Would absolutely come back for this alone.

The space is hip. BYOB and chill overall with tons of tables.“

“I was born and raised in South Philly. My wife and I moved to Lumberton in 2002. Not wanting to go back to Philly every time we wanted pizza, we looked out here. Finally, we found Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza. Although not as big as the pizza I'm used to in Philly, it is delicious! Perfectly well done on the bottom and not greasy.

The staff were great! I picked up a couple of slices and when served, I knew right away that I was getting a NY slice I was used to as a kid in NYC.

Yesterday I decided to check out an old favorite, Rustica in NoLibs. They didn’t miss a beat. Still reasonably priced for a slice that felt classy. And damn, is that chicken parm slice classy. “Once was a good place. Went with my family and ordered a XL Pie, which the menu on the wall says “XL 18’ PIZZA 14.95”, I was wrung up on one register as $15.95, but when the waiter took my card, he charged me $26.00. When asked why so much he immediately said the price of the pizza was 19.95 and if I wanted, he could give me a menu. When I requested a menu, he then said he only has the old menu, still he didnt even give me that. When I asked why am i being charged $6 for 2 cans of coke, he then says the man (guessing the owner) told him to charge me for 3 cans (this is the same waiter that took our drinks order and brought us 2 cans). If you want to get swindled, go to this pizza joint. Trust me, I would much rather give my money to an honest family business… but this place just made me decide to stick with the big business conglomerates that are running little family owned places out of business. Sucks, but why steal from your customers? You take their money, break the trust and then you deal with the aftermath of it all. Another interesting fact: someone was coughing up a majestic storm in the kitchen, just pure unadulterated coughing and sneezing. Then theres this delivery guy just eating a slice of pizza at the entrance talking about women, as if there wasn’t a family trying to enjoy some time together. My wife felt uncomfortable, as she should have. Save your money. The flies and theft isn’t worth it. Sad, this was once a good place.“

“I do not live in Pennsauken , I was babysitting for my daughter. She mentioned doing a take out from Montegrillo. It was my first time eating their food . From the phone call ordering , to my last bite it was perfect ! We got the chicken fingers & fries which was huge amount , And couple cheese steaks & fries. I can't say enough good things about it ! I got a cheese steak hoagie it was absolutely delicious , it came very hot and not soggy at all to the very end ! What was pretty impressive were the fries ... I never got fries for take out that came hot and crispy and they were just delicious, and plenty ! My order came quicker than they said & delivery man was polite and friendly! I will be back ! I can not rate atmosphere it was a take out ,I never ate there !“

“My boyfriend and I come to the restaurant quite often! Rina, her husband, her father, their daughter, and all staff are amazing! If you walked out or passed by this restaurant, you NEED to try it out! As an ex waitress, sometimes it’s a good idea to make a reservation on a Friday/Saturday night. They have plenty of space to serve you and those you’re with. I know sometimes people can get hopped up because “they’re not getting waited on”, but trust me, they know you’re there, just be patient and the food is always worth it! They’re always accommodating when it comes to your food and choices.

This is THE ONLY restaurant that’s survived this area. I’ve been in this area since 1995 and there have been MANY restaurants here.
