It was all the music I grew up listening to as a kid, and it made me feel at home. McKenzie was our server and she was incredibly professional, kind, and attentive. Here's what we had: Appetizers: -Brussels sprouts salad with sliced apple, marinated feta, roasted squash, candied pecans, quinoa and tossed in a vinaigrette - Kabocha squash ravioli in a braised beef and peanut ragu, crispy eggplant and a peanut-green bean crumble. “Bareburger was an impromptu lunch spot that was unexpectedly great! We got the standard burger, and it was only $15 for the burger, fries + a drink during lunch (usually $21).

All around solid burger. The fries were perfection - crispy and salty. Ranch was great. Our soda was very flat but that’s okay.

“Stop the presses!! I found a great new restaurant where artistry trumps slinging hash. It’s Pop Empanada, re-christened Pop Pasta Supper Club on Thursdays and Saturday nights. On those days, Chef Nicolas Pescatore prepares a 6 course meal, and even if you don’t like every course, you will appreciate the artistry and the ambition. Tonight, the courses were 1. celery avocado salad (replacing salmon, which this landlubber doesn’t like), 2. shrimp empanada in a butter curry sauce, 3. pork belly confit, 4. raviolo-soft boiled egg center in a brown butter sage sauce, 5. brisket ragu paccheri pasta, and 6. dessert of frangelica panna cotta key lime shortbread crumble. The cost with tip is around $100 per person plus the cost of your BYOB. We wouldn’t pay that cost often, but it’s a welcome break from the restaurants where kitchen staff show up at 4 PM and are ready to serve at 5pm.“
