You can taste the spices in the rice. The hot sauce is more of a creamy hot sauce unlike the red spicy 🔥 hot you tend to get from other halal carts. Chicken and beef well made and sauces on point. “I’m visiting NJ (lived here for a long time) and wanted to eat some of my favorite foods. I ordered dinner from port of peri peri and it was perfectly cooked but missing my fries. I let that be known to the restaurant and received a small refund. Next night, I ordered dinner again and I received a large order of fries on the house as well as a discount card for 5% for dine in orders valid for one more week. Amazing customer service. If I were in NJ longer, I would surely order again! The food is absolutely delicious 😋“

“Just found it on the way to our hotel when we stop at dominoes pizza ,so I just enter the restaurant and order burns road chutney paratha roll and mayo garlic roll and falooda for me and my husband. “I walked into Halal Cajun Platters and the man who was there treated me like family. I never met him in my entire life and I came in to get a green juice but I didn’t have enough money to pay for it. However the man who was at the counter treated me with so much love and kindness. The food is so incredible and every single thing on the menu is the best food you will ever eat and that’s because it is made with so much love. You will never find a spot like this in your life so many places make a bunch of food but there is no love! The vibes of this restaurant are incredible!!! If you are looking for a place that feels like home PLEASE COME!!!!!!!❤️“

“We went to River Edge branch on Friday night - the music and atmosphere are great.Restaurant is beautiful. They have very good singer/DJ, people were dancing till very late. Food is good too - we ordered lamb shish kebab, fried potatoes, stuffed mushrooms, samsa, some salads - everything was delicious. Highly recommended.“

“The food tastes delicious. I think if the place is called Gyro it is reasonable that they cut the meat from the gyro in front of you. However that is not the case the gyro meat is in a container just like in a cart in the city. And to be 100% honest, considering that I paid over $15 for a platter with a Coke and it is served in a plastic Tupperware with plastic fork, at the very least the portions should be bigger. It is not the case, not a lot of rice, not a lot of meat, not a lot of salad. I think I would go more often otherwise.
However the taste is there and it tastes pretty good.“

Super yummy and they give you extra garlic sauce and spicy sauce in sachets with cutlery when you take it away. Speedy service and big portions too. Definitely recommend a visit especially if you’re staying at the New York Hilton Midtown (as it’s right outside!)“
