“To be fair, I fully understand the poor reviews on this store. You have to be very selective in ordering the right dishes to get a good experience. In general, most northwest China cuisine dishes from this restaurant are authentic and highly recommended (e.g., green pepper and beef fried noodle; crispy lamb chop; lamb scorpion pot; flat bread in lamb soup). We have ordered these many times by now.

However, I would avoid ordering non-Northwest-China dishes (e.g., tomato noodle soup, pork soup dumplings) as they are very mediocre and not worth the money.

Furthermore, ordering delivery from this restaurant is quite a scam. On most delivery apps (Ubereats, Doordash, etc.), the price of each menu item can be $5-10 higher than the in-store prices (even for pickup!).“

“Such a nice evening!! The food was delicious and our server (so sorry I don’t know your name!! The Hungarian girl from Felsoörs 🇭🇺🇺🇸) was exceptional, so knowledgeable of the menu, sociable, prompt and helpful! We had the fried eggplants & chicken popcorn as appetizers, then various types of noodle dishes, sesame chicken and seafood tofu. Super yummy, and cozy atmosphere. Will go back when in Princeton!“

“Food was great, if you are looking for the american-Chinese style comfort food then this would be the place to go. The foods are at good portions with good pricing. They do not have deliveries (as of now they still do not). I would recommend calling about 25 - 30 of when you want your order to be really as usually the wait is about that time. My entire family comes here to eat pretty often when they still had dine-in, and we get take out now! Great family owned local business with helpful staff and good quality food. Would recommend!“

“hard to find a good american-chinese restaurant that isn’t over priced and tastes bad. first time ordering from Cheng’s and won’t be my last! got the chicken fried rice, perfect amount of chicken, not so much that it’s just straight chicken ??. also the sweet and sour chicken with the sauce on the side, the chicken is super tender! also the breading is nice and crispy and light, not too doughy. the broccoli garlic is classic, not too spicy but still flavorful. we placed a pick up order through the phone and the woman who took our order was very nice and easy to understand. we received everything in our order and it was hot and fresh. if you’re new to the princeton area and want classic comfort chinese food, skip tiger noodles and order from Cheng’s Kitchen????“

I rated the atmosphere 3 stars because I did not eat inside. Therefore, I can not give the restaurant so a review based on the atmosphere. “China Chen is the best Chinese take-out restaurant in this area. I try to come here at least once or twice a month. It is in a little food court inside the Forrestal Village (across from the now-closed down Salt Creek Grille). I like their beef and broccoli, fried rice, bourbon chicken and pork egg rolls the best. The service is always quick and the prices are very good. There is seating inside the food court and outside as well. Everything is made to order (the food is not sitting out) and is fresh and hot. The service is friendly and quick. There's a PF Chang's further down which I do not recommend (their prices are too high and their quality is very poor). Wegmans used to have excellent Chinese food, but not for the last 10 years or so. This is truly the best place in the area. Also, China Chen takes credit cards and there is no service charge to use your card and they do not have a tip jar out (I know a lot of people hate that).“

“We went for the dinner. Food was good. The lady taking orders and serving food at the table was very nice & friendly. The place was clean. Their portion is very big so if you don’t have that much appetite, 2 people can eat from one order of Entree which is fantastic & prices are very reasonable.

“We have lived in Hopewell 15 years and this newer china wok is absolutely AMAZING. We love the food it's more clean tasting not greasy. Fresh veggies are used too. I am so happy to have them right down the block. We have not had 1 bad meal from them!!!!! “I love their garlic shrimp with scallops menu item. I always get it for take-out. I have eaten at least 20 of them. There is a problem with their packaging. They put the food into a white plastic container that ALWAYS leaks. The container is not water-proof. They put the white container into a brown bag and put that into a plastic bag. The sauce leaks from the white container through the brown bag and into the plastic bag. When I open the white container, I get sauce from the bottom of the container all over my kitchen counter and have a mess to clean up. I have seen other take-out containers and NONE of them ever leak. This business needs to get a liquid-proof or water-proof container to put the food in so the sauce does not leak out. Wake up please!!!!!!!!!!!

I ordered a take-out today July 31, 2024 and was surprised to see they have a new container that, when held upright, does not leak. One good step in the right direction. I wish they would go one more step and use a truly watertight container. Many restaurants use waterproof containers so an even better type of container does exist.“

“This place has some of the best standard Chinese food around. The portions are small, but you don't need a whole lot. The food is very tasty. Hi sweetie My go-to is the general Cho's chicken, which has a wonderfully crunchy texture and delicious and unique flavored sauce. My wife likes the pepper steak and the flavor of the beef is excellent here.“

They serve authentic Indian dishes (especially non-vegetarian dishes) and the prices are very reasonable. I have already visited the place several times and ordered their Carryout and was never disappointed. I would urge anyone who has not visited this place to try it -- you will not be disappointed! We need good ethnic restraints in Flemington -- unfortunately, we do not have many choices. I hope Cilantro Garden is here to stay.“

Be careful as it has bones but it was unbelievably delicious, a flavor and texture that was so unique. So the next day we got their liver, fish and a soup. Simply delicious. Could not stop eating.The staff are great but do not speak english and their online menu is also unclear. Its best to get the printed menu. We are so excited to try all their other dishes. “A no frills self service restaurant right next to the Princeton Junction train station. A great place to get a quick bite to eat either for lunch or before/after taking the train. It felt like home-style Korean/Asian cooking and a great spot for something quick and filling. The Coippino was only slightly spicy with lots of chewy noodles. The seafood pancake was crispy on the outside and fluffy and chewy in the center.“
