“Killer cocktails! We will be back!“
“My husband took me out to Philly for an early Mother’s Day gift. He said we were going to a “speakeasy” type bar in Chinatown but I didn’t believe him. When we got to an iron screen door, he was like this is it and I was like you got to be kidding me. The owner came out, asked my husband if he knew it was a cash bar took our ids then went inside. The owner brought back our ids then took us inside to a foyer where he told us the rules of the bar. Cash only, absolutely, no photography and no phones. If you need to take a phone call, you go back to foyer area or outside to not disturb people. We agreed to rules and went inside. The bar was dimly lit with candles on each table. The decor was amazing with pictures and antiques on the wall. We were sat at a table and given a cocktail menu. The cocktails were unique and separated by whiskey, gin, vodka and rum. If you need a light since it is so dim in the bar, they will bring you a light because they brought one to my husband. There were no beers on the menu so if that is what you’re looking for then this isn’t the place for you. We ordered our cocktails and they were amazing. Since there is no phone usage, you have more of an intimate experience with the person you are with because you aren’t distracted by your phone. We sat and talked while drinking our drinks. The owner came over and asked us about our drinks and how we were doing. We then ordered another round of drinks and continued talking. We enjoyed our time at Hop Sing Laundromat. Service was great, bartenders were great, owner was great, and the ambiance was amazing. This is a great date night spot for anyone who wants to enjoy a intimate setting with a cocktail or two. I would post pictures but again, No Photography so you would have to go in order to see it to believe it. You will enjoy this experience and not be disappointed.“

“Friendly staff! Hostess was great as was our server. I only know she had a unique name. Not a large menu but what they do offer is amazing. Great atmosphere too!“

“Cute spot for a drink. Interesting mix of drink options and prices were quite reasonable for the area. The seating is a bit limited but we were lucky enough to grab a seat right by the bar. Bartenders were super friendly and quick. Didn't get any food but the sandwiches around us looked interesting and would consider coming back to try these.“

“Yards represents a great story of a local business that does well enough to expand and grow. The location offers a great variety of food as well as the iconic brews they're known for, in an open, though sometimes loud, environment. Parking options aren't great if you're not walking or Ubering, but it's the city so that's to be expected. That said, I was so happy when they took over this former commercial space and transformed it a few years ago and demonstrates how successful their brand has become and not just in the Philadelphia area!“

“We came on a whim, and were blown away by the sushi. The miso butter cod and the eel signature rolls in particular were excellent, but everything we ordered was beautifully presented and tasted incredible. Will be back next time we’re in town.
Vegetarian options: The vegetarian portion of the menu is comparatively small, but the options look tasty“

“I just joined Five Iron Fishtown and I love it. The location is great and I love the vibes of the inside. The hours are perfect as I generally go to use the simulators before work in the morning and work on my swing or play a round. I’ve also had a few lessons with Senior Golf Pro Matt Davis and I can already tell my swing has gotten better. With the technology they have and following Matt’s direction I feel like I’ll be performing a lot better once I get on an actual course. Highly recommend.“

“Great bartender, incredible music selection and possibly the best burger in the city. Especially for the dollar it is the best burger. The beer list was absolutely incredible and diverse. Happy hour like everywhere in this town means two dollar off pints. Even on days like St. Patrick’s Day, they still are efficient and friendly at Fountain Porter.
Parking: It’s South Philly. You know what you’re getting into. It’s busy.
Kid-friendliness: Due to the neighborhood, there are kids around during happy hour, and strollers can be common“

“Als Touristen sind wir ohne große Erwartungen ins Dirty Frank's. Wir wurden im Prinzip am ersten Tag schon als Stammgäste angesehen. Ab dem zweiten Tag, fühlten wir uns auch so. Absolut super Service, sehr nette Menschen im der Bar. Coole Jukebox, günstige Getränke. Sollte es uns jemals wieder nach Philly verschlagen, wird Dirty Frank's Bar das Erste sein, was wir besuchen werden.“

“Just to illustrate how incredible the food and drinks are- I was broken up with at Sassafras (guy totally broke my heart), and I STILL come back whenever I get the chance, haha. I’m from out of town and occasionally work for a couple weeks a year in Philly, and I absolutely love Sassafras. I go out of my way to have at least one meal here when I’m in town. The atmosphere is incredible- especially for interior design/architecture junkies- the mosaic floor and tile work is lovely, vintage cocktails are beautifully made, and the food is unique and delicious. I couldn’t recommend it strongly enough.“

“Such an amazing view of the city! But they had a very limited menu for food. I wish there were a couple more options. Also we went in October and it got a little chilly on the roof. I was surprised that there wasn’t any heaters or blankets available to make customers comfortable. There also wasn’t any fall drinks/ warm drinks, I feel like that was a missed opportunity. Overall a nice time, but a couple things could have made it better.“

“It’s harder and harder to find a good cocktail for under $20 in a big city. Poison Heart gives you excellent cocktails, great small bites, and an unpretentious environment in spades. Oysters and waffle fries hit. The Songs About Keri is a quaffable, less sweet version of a good margarita. The Goodbye Horses is a nicely acidic, bright redo on a classic Old Fashioned.“

“One of the best places to become a regular at great drink, great food, great prices. Staff, especially management staff, are lovely and care about their customers. Alone? No problem, they've got cool and interesting people behind the bar who want to chat. With a group? They've got tables for you.
Vegetarian options: Cold spicy noodles, and vegan burgers always available. Great salad option as well.
Parking: Street larking available on Frankford Ave and side streets. Easy to find parking after 4-5pm.
Wheelchair accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible :/“

“We had a great time on our date night! We visited on a Thursday evening and had the place mostly to ourselves. April was so friendly and helpful. I was truly horrible but had a great time regardless. The games were fun and it is a very cute place! The food was mid at best but not the reason we came anyway. the drinks were reasonably priced for being in Olde City.“

“I came here a bit out of sorts after a personal setback. I needed help figuring out what to drink and a mixologist who I don’t think was on duty guided me to their special and it was such a good cocktail! The service and other customers were excellent. I hope to get back someday when I’m in this area.“

“Been coming for years — love this place. Great food, great service, great beer list.
The highlights of our meal tonight were the Au Poivre burger on special — so tender, juicy, and cooked exactly as I ordered it — and the apple walnut gorgonzola salad. I subbed in their house balsamic which is SO good with the sweet candied walnuts. HUGE chunks of high quality gorg, too. Iced tea was delicious and the lemons were clean and fresh. (This matters!)
Our server was so sweet and attentive but not overbearing — great smile, super friendly! I feel bad that I didn’t catch her name.“

“Great vibes. Came here for Jazz night on Wednesday. They were very chill. I didn’t drink (the virgin options weren’t too appealing to me, but there are 4 and they were willing to custom the other ones for me, though I didn’t feel like it)
Anyways very lovely place!“
“While in the city to grab a cheesesteak from Pat's I Google mapped the are to see what we were close to. Ray Happy Birthday Bar is just a block away. What a great little local spot. Our bartender (I believe was Chrissy) was on point with our drinks and just had that special personality that brings the whole bar together. Plenty of TVs around for your Philly sports“

“Probably the best and only $4 sandwich I’ve ever had. The menu feels like you’re taking a step back in time with the prices. It’s a dive, don’t expect gourmet. Service is great, food is great, and we will be coming back for a drink next time we are in the area.“

“Unassuming little watering hole. This is the only place I’ve been to that has good wings in Philly in my opinion. Great pub and bar food. Blackened chicken and/or salmon salads are killer. The roast pork sandwich is also great, done in the Philly style. Watch out for those long hots. Good beer selection.“

“Graffiti Bar is a great spot for happy hour with friends! The vibe is super cool and the space feels cozy yet lively. Their tequila and vodka fishbowls are a must-try — perfect for sharing with 2-3 friends to kick off the night. The Pan-Asian food is delicious, and everything pairs perfectly with their creative cocktails. Definitely a go-to spot for drinks, good food, and a chill atmosphere!“

“We needed a place to kill time before our flight. So we just walked to this place because it was near our hotel. The service was great, and so was the food. I had the cheese teak and it was great and so were the fries. Tasty and not normal fries. Very crispy. Great beer selection.“

“Had the vegetarian calabacitas with a side of the consommé and it was amazing. It was like a beef stew in taco form. 🤤 and the abuelita’s Jamaica was perfectly paired.
Also the chips and salsa are perfectly done.
The staff was super nice too, being really patient with me while I was ordering, too.
Can’t wait to come back home hen in town!“
