“If you like a small dive bar with cheap beer, friendly people, juke box, and a few fun games (pool table, ping pong, shuffle bowl), this place is for you. It's a tiny little get away for those of us that enjoy a laid back, casual atmosphere with non-judgie folks. It's not for everyone. If you don't feel like you fit in, or are a complaining Karen or Ken, then you most likely don't belong there. You can easily move on to one of the many other bars along the pike.“

“We came here during restaurant week, and the servings are just enough for each member of the group to try. This restaurant serves great food that makes you want to appreciate every bite. Sampan is linked, and this location is typically busy. Since the dining room was downstairs, there was a kind of nice corridor leading to it. You and your group can choose from a small variety of dishes to share at the table during restaurant week, with some items having an additional fee. There was a stronger romantic vibe. Here, the Kobe beef is a great choice.“

“The intent is clear and well executed. It didn't seem like a place that aims to put pizza on a pedestal rather a well put together representation of desired traits specific to the Philadelphia dining scene. The pizza leaned towards a bar pie, that was executed by someone who has a devout understanding of the dough and the other ingredients involved. The soft serve was well spun and tasty. Overall the hype is real and was a real joy to visit!“

“Pretty good experience! There was a little bit of a mix up with what we ordered but they instantly took care of it and got us the rest of our food. Some of the food was hit or miss. The broll, Bloc party, Hijiki, and e I shumai was great but I didn't really like the chashu because it was a bit gummy and the wings were not my favorite. But other than that, it was all great. I will definitely come back soon to try more things :)“

“Really cool bar to drink local spirits. The bartenders were super nice and let us try a couple different things we were interested in. Cocktails were really good. I would definitely go back. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was super chill but I can imagine that it gets really noisy as soon as it fills up. Also you can bring your own food, since they don’t have a kitchen, so that’s really cool!“

“The ambiance is very relaxing here and moderately upscale. Decor gives you the feel of being in Cuba. The food was well seasoned. There are not many options if you don't eat pork or seafood, unfortunately. Drinks are a bit overpriced and lack the wow factor, just spring for the lemonade instead.“

“I went here with 2 of my friends for the first time for their Happy Hour (4-7 pm). We arrived early and was seated right away. Our server Jasmine was very nice. She made great food recommendations. “Great spot for a cheap burger that is good quality. A bit under-seasoned but you get salt pepper to add. Very reminiscent of home style / back yard barbecue burgers. Hard to not have some bias for how affordable it is at 6 bucks but I don’t think it’s a burger that trumps other bar burgers flavor wise. Fries are good especially soaked in malt vinegar. Don’t really get the appeal of going after sun down when it’s pitch black inside though. Makes it super awkward when people go to the bathroom and this blaring light suddenly appears in the corner of your eye or if you go and come out from a piss to see the whole bar squinting at you because you’re a visual disturbance“

“Tapas doesn’t meet my expectations. The only memorable tapas was the grilled chicken. Paella was okay. There were a generous portion of seafood and poultry on the paella but there wasn’t a crunchy bottom. And the dish was a bit on the salty side even for a Chinese myself.“

“We went around the happy hour time. 4-6 pm and you have to be seated at the bar for the happy hour prices. The service was good, attentive staff. The food was good to my surprise. The crispy cauliflower and mushroom pita pizza are a must-try. The Thai chili wings and Buffalo wings were deliciously sauced, along with my margarita. The Smash burger is a must-try too. It was a cool laid-back happy hour spot. I will be back to try the rest of the menu.“

I have a dairy allergy, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure there was no dairy in my dish (the ahi tuna). Leonardo was our server, and I have to say he gave us the best experience we have probably ever received. Ever. We are really easygoing, so to have a server go the extra mile for us was beyond our expectations. We actually can't wait to go back to Yard House, and that was our first time ever dining in a Yard House-- all thanks to Leonardo! If you have the opportunity to visit this Yard House location, don't hesitate to ask if Leonardo has an open table available! Seriously, he was incredible! “This is one of the best restaurants in Philly! The food is incredible! (Highly recommend the fried chicken). I was needing to book a large group dinner for my colleagues (29 of us) and Valerie was so easy to work with! She was able to customize the perfect pre-set menu for us to accommodate a variety of dietary restrictions (I had reached out to 10 other restaurants as well and NONE would tailor anything to fit our needs like Bud + Marilyn’s would!). The set-up was gorgeous, and can I just say how nice and accommodating the entire staff was? (Special shoutout to the manager on duty that night, Jack! “Came in to watch the game and was surprised by the food and service. Lo my bartender was very patient and courteous throughout. I had the dry rub ranch wings OMG! Crunchy and seasoned on the outside and juicy on the inside. Great dipping sauce as well which added to the layers of flavor. My burger was the Swiss with bacon and a variety of mouth watery inclusions. Smash burger seasoned just right. I tried the love hazy IPA and it paired wonderfully. “Perfect neighborhood gem. Gastropub food is just delicious. Wide variety of food options as well as a terrific beer selection. Through the pub and then a doorway into the "house" next door is a very cozy two floor (maybe three?)experience, a house turned into an eating area, also a surprise pinball machine corner and televisions on both floors. Very unique, very comfortable. You just want to hang there all night as if it were your own house. Love it“

“Stopped in for their Thursday 5-8pm happy hour, stayed for the go-go dancer and the all-vinyl DJ! This place truly is special, frozen in time. The historic venue/bar has so much charm and life in it still. DJ Hardbargain and dancer Butterfly Jones made the space so cozy and vibey! 10/10 recommend for a drink out with friends and a sweet spot to dance.“

“We have been coming for brunch for years and have always had a great meal with exceptional service. We prefer to sit at the bar. The high tops in the bar area have stools with no backs to them, which are not comfortable to us. Bartenders are always so nice and provide excellent service. This week, we tried the kimchi fried rice, pretzel bites, and hot wings. The kimchi rice had a nice spice to it with a runny fried egg on top. For $10 you get a huge bowl of crispy pretzel bites with everything but the bagel seasoning on top. Their wings are not breaded, but crispy and meaty with the perfect amount of sauce. All of our food came out hot and quickly. There are a few gluten free and vegetarian options on the menu. We have tried the chicken and waffles, shrimp and grits, and burger on previous trips and have loved all of them. There is a separate dining area away from the bar, which can be noisy. Salmon, grilled to perfection, placed on a bed of spinach, topped with crab and asparagus. Smothered in the most amazing cream sauce. Best meal I had on my short stay in Philadelphia.“

“This was a great little spot to spend an hour before our dinner reservation. There is both a small bar with beers on tap and coolers with a wide variety of beers, both craft and the regular stuff which my husband was very pleased with. You can just grab what you need and chill. I had a really delicious strawberry NA beer suggested by the staff, really the best NA beer I have ever had. Most of all this is just a fun, relaxing easygoing stop. We had tired feet after several hours of sightseeing and this felt perfect.“
