“First time I'm here. My daughter brought me. She said that the coffee was excellent so I tried a cappuccino and it was good and she had a cold brew. We didn't buy nothing to eat but what I saw seemed quite nice. I would really highly recommend“

“This coffee shop has completely stolen my heart! Every time I walk in, I'm greeted with the kindest smiles from the baristas — you can genuinely feel how much they care about creating a welcoming space. It's the kind of place that just makes your whole day better the second you step inside!
Now let’s talk about the pandan latte. I’m honestly obsessed. It's the perfect blend of cozy, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness with that beautiful, unique flavor that you can't find anywhere else. I dream about this latte — it's that good! If you’ve never tried pandan before, trust me, this is the place to fall in love with it.
I can't recommend this coffee shop enough. Between the incredible drinks and the truly wonderful team behind the counter, it’s easily one of my favorite spots in Fishtown. Can't wait for my next visit!“

“*4.5/5 Stars*
I recently discovered Good Karma Cafe and I'm hooked! This charming spot exceeded my expectations with its warm atmosphere, top-notch service, and delicious food.
The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, happily answering our questions about the menu. We indulged in their mouthwatering chicken sandwiches on sourdough bread, paired with refreshing lemonade and iced tea. The cozy back dining room, adorned with vibrant art and lush greenery, made for a pleasant dining experience.
Their breakfast and brunch menu boasts an array of tempting options, making me eager to return. Standouts include the Colonel Mustard sandwich and almond croissant.
Good Karma Cafe excels in:
- Friendly, attentive staff
- Beautiful decor
- Excellent selection of hot and cold beverages
- Tasty sandwiches and pastries
- Ample seating
- Convenient WiFi and water for customers
Minor drawbacks:
- Limited outdoor seating
- Coffee (large latte) was bitter and milk was over-steamed (though smoothies were great!)
Overall, Good Karma Cafe is an ideal spot for a satisfying breakfast or lunch. I'll definitely be back for more!
Parking: Usually you can find a spot pretty close by“

“Tucked away, this Time and Peace cafe is a gem for a quiet time and a good coffee. They have some very interesting options, and today I'm trying the walnut cappuccino. The walnuts are on top and on the rim (if you are dining in) and only on top if you are taking it to go. The maple syrup that it comes with, gives it the perfect sweetness, so taste it before adding anymore sugar. The regular cup is a small cup, I would recommend the large, so you can get your normal caffeine intake 🤭.
I also tried the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant (+$1). Very good! What I loved about it is the fresh egg they put on right before they make it! Amazing!
The almond croissant, although warmed up, didn't live up to my expectations. It was a bit dryish and not very flavorful.
Brown bags for all my purchases (it was a to go order) and the perfect white napkins included set me up for lunch.
The setting is quiet, books and paintings on the wall give it a last century vibe (I felt oh, so good!) and make it a cozy, relaxing place. I would highly recommend it for a time away from the office to de-stress...“

“As a local to Philly, I explore many coffee shops and community spaces in the area, but none have matched the warmth, uniqueness, and welcoming environment of Sunday Girl.
From the moment you approach, there's a sense of openness, and sometimes quite literally, with the door wide open on nice days. Inside, that same feeling continues. The staff greets you warmly, making a point to do so by name, and creates a sense of familiarity and connection with everyone that walks in. Each team member brings their own personality to the space, and you can feel how much they care, and not just about the service, but about building real community. Becca, the owner, clearly pours love and passion into Sunday Girl. Her commitment to collaboration, inclusivity, and people-first values is reflected in every corner of the space. Her passion is definitely shared and spread.
Though I’m not a big coffee drinker, I always find something on their diverse menu. Their iced chai latte is my go-to, which is delicious, consistent, and clearly made with high-quality and contribute to buying locally sourced ingredients. I’ve also tried a few pastries and the avocado toast, and everything has been fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and satisfying. There is much more on the menu that I plan to try in the future.
Sunday Girl is more than a coffee bar... it’s a vibrant community hub. They’re dog-friendly, queer-friendly, woman-led, and actively partner with local organizations and clubs. I’m excited to spend more time here and see how this already incredible space continues to grow and evolve and contribute to the good that comes from Philly.“

“Excellent place to work. We were visiting from out of town and needed a place with WiFi close to the city area, quiet enough to work, and with wifi. They have a relatively spacious downstairs area which was excellent to stay and work from. Not too crowded when we went and not too hot, as they had a fan. Very very pleased that we found this place. Nice staff as well!“

“American Grammar is my favorite cafe in Philly! Every drink I get is perfect and somehow always has the perfect espresso pull. The energy and beauty of the space (as well as amazing collection of books) make it such a pleasant place to go! Special shout out to Terrence who always makes you feel warm with his amazing energy and kindness. Grateful to have a place like American Grammar in the neighborhood.“

“My sisters and I decided to stop in for some coffee after brunch. The man in front of us in line wanted a muffin. They were honest and said one felt hard and dry, so they suggested another flavor that wasn’t. That impressed us. Then they answered our questions about best selling latte flavors and what some flavors were. Not only were they informative and gave their personal suggestions, but they were very courteous and kind.“

“Torch Wood, although it may not be your average eat in type of sandwich & pannini restaurant, it's definitely the place to order online or do a quick drive by pick up. Off the corner of north 3rd & Vine St., Torch Wood friendly customer service, attention to details and delicious menu will keep you coming back for more each and every day. Stop for one of their breakfast sandwiches or lunch salads and grab a latte while you at it, you will enjoy the trip! Highly recommended, Javier from Orlando, FL.“

“My life has been changed. I am not the same person that walked into Oliver Cafe for the first time this morning. I ordered the prosciutto panini and a large iced pistachio latte. Every single element of the sandwich was otherworldly perfection. With each bite I took, I could believe less and less that what I was eating was of this realm. The pesto sang to me in a language I’ve never heard before - but I understood every word. The avocado on the sandwich made me believe that everything would be okay. The eggs? They were laid by a magical hen. Marinated, maybe, or seasoned with something - this was not your average fried egg. Don’t even get me started on the prosciutto itself - the flavor, the density, the proportions. “Blown away” doesn’t even begin to cover it. And the CIABATTA BREAD? Fresh, perfect combination of soft yet crispy, everything I could have asked of a bun. The most perfect vessel for this masterpiece. Saying that “my faith in humanity has been restored” would be cliche, but I seriously have a much better view of the world after eating at the Oliver Cafe. Life is worth living. It CAN get better! I am so serious you guys - I think I might have to go back into the store and tell them personally how fundamentally they altered the fabric of my reality. That’s how good my sandwich was. The latte was amazing, too. Forgive me for not taking pictures - I wasn’t able to see or think straight for several minutes.“

“Nice store and they sell ice creams, coffee, biscottis, chocolates and many more. This bakery is owned by the Termini Bros bakery as the receipt and bags are from Termini’s. I ordered the Pistachio ice cream, chocolate almond biscotti and cranberry pistachio biscottis. The ice cream is very creamy and delicious. I personally liked the chocolate biscotti than the cranberry and chocolate chip cinnamon biscotti. The staffs are friendly and courteous.“

“La Colombe’s flagship location is one of the gems of the neighborhood here in Fishtown-NoLibs. The space itself has that perfect balance of buzzing energy and relaxed atmosphere . whether you’re grabbing a quick draft latte to go or sitting down to catch up with a friend, it always feels welcoming.
The coffee is consistently excellent (their draft latte is still unmatched), and the pastries and food options are a cut above your typical café. Service is friendly and efficient even when it’s packed, which says a lot given how busy this spot can get.
What I love most is that it feels like a true community hub, locals, professionals, students, everyone passing through. It’s a reminder of why La Colombe has become such a Philly institution.
Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area.“

“I love the food here. But i went there tonight around 730 and it was frigid outside. Just as we were sitting down to eat our food the worker decided to open the doors to carry all the outdoor furniture in then kept them open while he changed trash outside too. Not a care in the world for how freezing it was for his customers. It was extremely disappointing. We drive like 25 minutes to eat here. May be a while before we do that again.“

“I work down the street and frequent Ellie’s often. The food is always great and am always satisfied. Staff is very friendly and make you feel welcome.
I want to point out how many chain restaurants are in this area. They’re on every corner and fill all of the space in between. It’s great to have an option like Ellie’s where you can get actual food. It’s the perfect staple for the area.“
