“It's tucked away in a small strip mall next to a pizza place. There is a small bar in the back with a TV. The bar is always lively when work gets out. The beer selection here is pretty good. There's a little of everything. The same goes for the wine and spirits. You won't find anything crazy or hard to get. “This is a perfect example of a tried and true local mom & pop shop serving the local community. Everyone who works here is friendly and knowledgeable. The bar area is enormous and a great place to unwind after a rough day. I even come here with my laptop and work from time to time. And the food is delicious! Sure, places like this won’t have the same vast selection as a Total Wine or Joe Canal, but the owners have always been able to order me anything I need and will even stock it regularly if it gets a following. Come support this wonderful local business, order a cocktail and some wings, and get to know the regular crew on both sides of the bar!“

“As a Union Beach Resident, I just have to give a shout out to this awesome local pub. Although I visit there often and it has become like a second home where you visit family when you enter, the NYE celebration last night was so fun! The pre fix menu was full of options and the pricing was so fair. The drinks are always served cold and well prepared. Renee and Courtney were up beat and on point and made the evening even more enjoyable. It would not have mattered though who was behind the bar as the rest of the team there are all amazing and professional! If you are in the Bayshore area and are looking for a place to visit stop by and check them out!! BTW, the burgers are really the best in the area !!“

“This has been my local spot that I've been coming to for about two years now. The drinks are always ice cold and vibes are tremendous. The live bands that perform on the weekends always sound great and add to the environment of what you'd expect from a dive bar. This bar is cash only, but not to worry as they have an ATM. Vanessa, Rachel, Ava, Nichole, Lexi, Alexa, and everyone else that works behind the bar always make you feel welcomed whether it's your first time here, or you're a longtime regular.“

“For a hotel, it certainly was refreshing. Traveling a lot you don't always get the best food selection.

With that said, the crispy Brussels sprouts, OH-EM-GEE. Hear me out. They were the best thing I think I've eaten...in well, ever. It wasn't just the whole Brussels sprout itself, it was mostly the outer skins that was coated in seasonings, oil, and crispy. They were SO GOOD!

I definitely recommend the French Onion soup as well, we had that twice. 😋“

“I've been going to the South River Pub for many many years and I used to bartend there as well. It's my hometown bar and I love it. My mom knew the owners and i grew up with their kids and they have become like family. I particularly love karaoke night on Fridays with DJ Rob, who has become a dear friend to me over the years as well. The regulars are fun, kind and caring people and when I go there it feels like family. Like “Cheers.” They don't serve food but you can bring your own if you like. Sometimes for special events and football, Lil will make a little food buffet for the customers. It's always a fun time.“
