“The food at Carrabas is delicious and extremely comforting! The chicken soup always hits the spot and you can never go wrong with getting the Rigatoni Martino or the Chicken MarsalaThe staff is always super friendly and always accommodating for our food allergies! Thank you for always being one of our go to spots!Dietary restrictions: Gluten allergy and nut allergy“
“Changing my review because it technically wasn't fair. The decor was very pretty. The waitress was nice and my husband enjoyed his pasta even though it was not as described on the menu. My eggplant was not done well and my lack of finishing it should have raised concern with the waitress. Overall it was a pleasant atmosphere and the wine list was extensive.“
“I don’t usually write reviews but this place was too good not to show appreciation for!Amazing service! The atmosphere was a welcoming small Italian kitchen feel with a dining room with warm lighting! They also have a nice back patio if you prefer to sit outside.I ordered a a Classic Caesar Salad with the 8oz strip steak on top. The salad was so flavorful and one of the best I’ve had in a long time! The steak was cooked medium rare and cooked to perfection!I will definitely be returning!Absolutely delicious!“
“Delicious Italian food that delivers in taste, quality, and presentation. Since it was our first time, it took us some time to order, but the waiter was very helpful and patient. The meatballs voted in best in New Jersey are definitely worth it. A combination of textures and flavors such as pine nuts and raisins gave it a delightful flavor; we ate every single bite. I got the genovese-gnocchi with braised beef short rib. The gnocchi was soft and pillowy yet firm. The braised beef short rib was tender and smooth to taste; the beef reduction brought all the flavors together nicely. If you're looking for great Italian food then give Lucas a visit.“
“An amazing family style restaurant. The food is what you'd be served at Nonnas on Sunday. The food is amazing. The service, friendly, efficient, incredible. The location, cozy, down to earth, honest.A great place to go if you're hungry.Plates are big.Ingredients are fresh and you can tell that sauce simmered on a stove for some time and didn't come out of a can.Top 3 meals of my life.I can guarantee I will return next time I'm in this corner of the world. Please check this jewel of a restaurant out.“
“Excellent food and a great intimate setting. Had the claims and mussels in a spicy sauce. Followed by a spinach fettuccine with crab meat special. The veal was also very good. And to top it off, had the tres leche dessert. Our server gave us great recommendations. First time dinning here and will definitely come again!“
“From the outside it doesn’t look like much, and might give you some pause walking in and that’s fine, because I like that it’s easy to get a table thereBut seriously the place is amazing, the food is absolutely fantastic and tastes incredibly fresh every time“
“The food here was excellent. I got the chicken Parm and it was very satisfying. When u walk In I believe you will be greeted by the owner. He's seems real nice. I like everything just wish I had a little more space( but that is just my personal preference). I still think the place was great. I also got a tequila sunrise and the bartender made it just right. It was my first time so I will be going back to try more dishes. The prices and somewhat on the higher end but you get a lot of food.“
“I attended a friend's baby shower here about 6 months ago. Based on the food at the shower, I had been meaning to come back here for dinner. I came with my family this past weekend for Easter, and it was fantastic. Bill was our server. The service, the drinks, and the meal from beginning to end exceeded our expectations. You have found yourself some new regulars. Thank you for a wonderful family evening out.“
“The best food I've had in a very long time. The service was impeccable. Will definitely come back again and bring friends. Everything was outstanding from the moment you walked in the door, until you walked out the door. Thank you for a evening of great food and atmosphere.“
“Gave 5 only because 6 wasn’t an option. Tried a cheesesteak… massive amount of food and the flavor was off the charts. My wife got tuna sub and she was raving about it (and she is a picky eater). Kids devoured the raviolis. I cannot wait to go back. All the sandwiches looked incredible. DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH CENTRAL JERSEY AND MISS OUT ON THIS PLACE!!!!!!“
“This is one our favorite places to go. What makes it so special is the people that take care of you!..After you have been there a couple of times you are treated like family laughing and talking with everybody including the owners. Oh ya and food is awsome!“
“Edison Pizza is by far the best Italian restaurant you will find. They have many entrée choices and the food will have you returning again and again. The owner, Roberto goes out of his way to accommodate everyone who dines in or who chooses to order for delivery. Their prices are also very reasonable in today's market. 5 out of 5 Stars! ?“
“Absolutely love Pizza Da Napoli! The pizza is excellent - deliciously thin crust, amazing sauce/cheese, and the gourmet pizza options are top notion. Great salads too! Highly recommend!Vegetarian options: Great toppings for vegetarians, plenty of veggie options on menu.“
“Delicious food my family goes here for holidays or birthdays because the food is so delicious, it's bit upscale and byob. My absolute favorite is the rack of lamb with the mint honey sauce. The seafood risotto and grouper with artichoke hearts are also favorites. My son is a very picky eater but swears they have the best penne vodka he's ever had.“
“A new restaurant in our bedroom community of Hillsborough, NJ, Mama Fanti is a place you don't want to miss. We went around 6:00 on a Friday night and were seated even though we didn't have a reservation. We found the food VERY flavorful! I really liked the sauces which must have some "secret" ingredients because they tasted better than what I have grown used to. We had a stuffed zucchini appetizer, three mains, a salad and a dessert for around $150.The salad was plenty for sharing. The eggplant Parmesan was interesting. I'm used to very thinly sliced eggplant with lots of breading, but Mama Fanti's was thickly sliced, nicely breaded with a delicious sauce. The veal cutlet topped with arugula was great, but the chicken dish (see below) was out of this world. I'll get that next time I go. We finished with an incredibly light tiramisu (one serving for all three of us).“
“Valentine's Day weekend and everything was perfect. We normally avoid restaurants around holidays but everything at Trattoria was as good if not better than normal. Thank you Dominick, Michele and everyone on your staff. Your consistency and attention to detail is amazing.“
“The best tacos!! Keep it up always and you will never lack customers!! The delicious tacos al pastor and enchilada not to mention with their fresh and finely chopped onion their fresh cilantro the super fresh cucumbers, radishes, lemons that's how it should be! Just a little less fat but they are “
“We hosted our kiddos baptism at Savor and it was just wonderful. Our guests all raved about the food and how beautiful everything turned out. Robert and Lisa were really great to work with during the planning process and even accommodated a last minute change for us. I have tried a few different things at Savor but my favorites are definitely the rigatoni vodka and flat ironed steak. Its BYOB so don't forget that wine :)“
“Big C's Cheesesteaks are out of this world. The mushrooms, onion, peppers and cheese complemented the steak so well. Excellent bit of char of mush, onion and peppers for extra flavor. We hired Clemente to cater my birthday based upon a great friend's recommendation... and my man did not disappoint!!!!! Catering - ask for the Pasta Genovese - your mind will be blown. His meatballs and gravy are outta hand. My friend's still talk about his food months later. Not only is Clemente great chef but he is a great person! He preps, and presents....and the best part, he cleans your friggin' kitchen when he's done!! Love your food! Keep it up and you will do great things!“
“Food was 11/10 ❗️Order 4 different dishes yesterday all of them tasted amazing! Ordered so much that I dropped my garlic bread on my way to the car. Went back inside and without hesitation the manager made me a fresh batch. Very hardworking people who care about our community. Great environment to bring to your friends and family for quality food.“
“Amazinggggg✨ This place really was fantastic, we loved every single one of our dishes, my rib eye special was cooked perfectly and the ravioli de mare was so delicious. The owner came by to check on us multiple times but all staff were very attentive and friendly and really cared for everyone dining in. We are coming back next week for Easter Sunday, I would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a good Italian restaurant with great service. Please try the limoncello dessert , 10/10.“
“Although the young man playing the piano was very talented and I like that they employed a young person who is willing to work, the venue is too small for entertainment. We almost had the table at the entry door next to the pianist. How would anyone like being seated there...cold and loud. Thankfully we took a table in the back of the restaurant. Food was great and servers were super nice.“
“One of the best Italian delis in central NJ! I have tried roast beef, tuna salad and chicken salad sandwiches. They come in big portions and good for more than one meal. The ingredients are very fresh. I customize my subs with balsamic flavor and just taste soooo good!“
“I been coming here since the 1970’s for awhile it was the only place in Manville to get pizza. Now there are three other places but their homemade sauce stands out amongst the other. The food is good the owner Anthony welcomes everyone like they are his family. Come try his pizza and his other Italian cuisine, you won’t be disappointed.Vegetarian options: I sometimes order the mushroom or peppers on my pizza.Dietary restrictions: They use quality ingredientsParking: They are by an open empty mall there is parkingKid-friendliness: YesWheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“Excellent experience! The food was very good and the service excellent. The owner Alfie was a pleasure to talk to, very interested in his customers experience. It was our first time dining there. We enjoyed the Burrata to start, the lobster pasta, veal chop and dessert. All excellent!“
“We had a great time celebrating my birthday at Maggiano’s. The food was amazing and could only be topped by the great service we received from Brayan. He was very attentive to ensure everything was served fast and hot. He seemed to always know when we needed something and was right there to get it for us. The general manager stopped by to offer me birthday wishes as well as a free dessert for both my wife and myself. If that wasn’t enough, Brayan brought us a birthday surprise that included their delicious lemon cookies. It was a visit that we didn’t expect and won’t soon forget.“
“Stopped here for dinner on a Thursday night after wanting to try it moving to the area. First impression is that it’s dark but somewhat cozy and quiet on the place’s dine-in side. I had the veggie burger with fries and my partner ordered the penne vodka personal pizza. The veggie burger was okay but my favorite part of the meal were the extra crispy fries. I tried some of the penne vodka pizza and it could’ve had a bit more sauce on it. Overall decent dinning experience.Parking: There’s a free parking lot for the plaza.“
“I love this pizzeria restaurant. I have been going there since my teen years. The food is always fresh, delicious and made to order. The sauce is amazing in my opinion. Great portions hot and cold subs, mozz sticks, garlic knots and zeppoles. There is tons of parking and indoor seating.Parking: Large parking lotWheelchair accessibility: Ground level entrance“
“This is the place to come for a relaxing, delicious and plentiful repast. The portions are plentiful, the price is right, service is unintrusive but friendly and prompt. Consistently delicious and cooked to perfection. A hot meal arrives HOT and a cold one cold. Just as each should be. I have eaten here weekly for more time than I can recall. It is THE place that leads the parade when considering where to eat when not at home. Simple, traditional Italian-American fare prepared to perfection and (if requested) altered to suit the customer! I just can't say enough good things about Natale's in Gillette. They also cater and host parties! Not fancy, but, very comfy and satisfying with a substantial variety of dishes.“
“Had an amazing dinner for 13 for my son’s confirmation dinner. We went with predetermined menu and everything was delicious, fresh and plentiful. We had tons to take home. Everyone raved about the food and especially the atmosphere. Always a great place for a date or a family dinner.Dietary restrictions: My son has a food allergy and they were very accommodating.“
“Pizza Margherita is The Best I’ve ever had in Jersey. Grilled Chicken is delicious. Salad is crisp and fresh. Cheesesteak hot freshly made exactly how I ordered it excellent flavor. Even the French Fries are delicious. The kids enjoyed their Plain Cheese Pie too. Maintenance of Restaurant atmosphere is clean with high standard. Professional friendly staff helped me bring everything to car. Thank you kindly PJ’S!!!“
“One of the few pizza places I will order pizza from! They make amazing pizza’s using quality grande cheese! Bar pie is my personal favorite.I stopped by on a Friday night without reservation and was quickly taken care of. The he ladies are nice and quick to serve!“

“April 2023I was actually temporarily miss placed when starvation hit and we stopped here. What a quaint place, definitely family oriented. Our server was on his game, he was kind enough to give us ideas of things to do. For our next visit.Portion size could have been a bit bigger.Parking was good, handicapped friendly, child friendly.Give this place a whirl !Kid-friendliness: Yes, they have highchairsWheelchair accessibility: Everythingvis in ground level.“
“The service was fantastic! Very attentive staff. And the restaurant itself is lovely. I also can't say enough about how delicious the food was. Their fried calamari was the best I've had in a very long time. Italian cuisine with vegetarian options. Everything from the appetizers to the dessert was fantastic and everything arrived to our table nice and hot.“
“1st time there had their delicious pizza, great crust and sauce. 2nd time had garlic knots and veal parm. The veal was so tender used my fork to cut it, salad was fresh snd Pasta tasted like just cooked, the garlic knots were perfect lots of garlic and not overcooked. I did have 2 youngsters with me and unfortunately they didn't order Italian.“
“I came here to celebrate a friend’s birthday. She made a reservation for a large round table by the window. When I arrived, I noticed they have two entrances in the front. The door on the right leads to the DiMaio’s Pizzeria section. This is where you can place an order for Pizza, Stromboli, Calzones, Hot and Cold Subs,Pasta Dishes and more for take out only. The door on the left leads to the actual restaurant where you can sit down and be served. This is a BYOB which I love.I was immediately greeted by an our server I believe her name is Paola. She was very friendly and attentive. DiMaio’s has a good amount of tables for dining in.The restaurant itself has a casual, subtle and warm vibe. I found it very relaxing. This place is family friendly, and Wheelchair Friendly. They can also accommodate vegetarians. When you arrive there’s a few spots in the front, 2 handicapped spots, and a few regular spots with remaining parking in the back around the side of building. This restaurant has been around for at least 45 years. It’s has been a staple in the Berkeley Ht’s area. For starters some of us chose their Tomato, Cucumber, and Feta Salad. The rest chose their House Salad with shaved Parmesan on it. Both salads were very good. Hot Rolls with Butter were also put on the table. For my Entree I chose their Rigatoni and Chicken Alla Serafino-Sundried tomato, broccoli, mushrooms, peas. It had a light flavor and subtle components. One of my friends chose their Chicken Valdostana- it was served with mushrooms, prosciutto & Asiago cheese. My friend ate every morsel.Another friend chose for her Entree Chicken Marsala-mushrooms and Marsala wine, she enjoyed it.Another friend chose for her Entree Seafood Marinara-shrimp, scallops, mussels, clams, and calamari. Again, everyone enjoyed their meal. The food is good here. We found for the area the food was pricey. Their chicken Francese was $29. The Seafood Marinara was $39. The other thing I found interesting was there was a charge to serve our own birthday cake. $2 per person. We decided to let the birthday girl take it home and enjoy it with her family. We just ordered desserts we picked off their tray. They were delicious , but for the price they were small portions which ranged between $11-$13 apiece. That’s definitely pricey for dessert. They do catering and parties here. I’ve had their pizza, and it’s decent too. They make a good Grandma Pie.Vegetarian options: They do have offer vegetarian optionsParking: They have several handicapped spots in front along with a few regular spots. If full they have parking around the back of the buildingKid-friendliness: Kids mealsWheelchair accessibility: Two handicap spots out front and they’re located on the first floor. I believe you could get a wheelchair in this restaurant.“
“I caught up with my friend here yesterday and so glad we chose this place. We were there for over 4 hours. They let us stay as long as we wanted. Everyone there was so nice and the food was delicious. Their pizza was some of the best I have had in Jersey. Highly recommend.“
“I placed an order for pick up. Everything we ordered was delicious. The mozzarella sticks were so good. Never have I ever picked up an order brought it home and the sticks were still hot. When you bit into them them were still stringy. My boys bit into one and can pull the cheese out as long as there arm. Highly recommend!“
“I can’t say enough about Avellino’s hands down the best tasting pizza. We order ALL the time and it’s always delicious. Customer service is always exceptional. I recommend Avellino’s to anyone that is looking for fresh, tasty and delicious pizza!“
“Went to go eat for Valentines Day, pretty busy, Kevin was ready to serve us with a big smile on his face… full of positive vibes, very professional, im definitely looking forward to eat at Carrabbas and get a Great Service as our Server Kevin “
“We went to Mr. Assante’s last night for dinner and my husband had the shrimp Parmesan over angel hair pasta and he said it was the best dinner ever he has had there with the shrimp fried Diablo, normally being his favorite. An of course the pasta fagiol soup is hands down amazing !! An cant say enough about the tortilleni with meat sauce served with garlic cheesy bread ? ❤️❤️“
“Found this spot on the way home to get a quick pie for my fam. We love pizza so we barely deviate from our normal pizza spots. This is one of the best kept secrets in somerset NJ. We are pizza purists and we've tried a lot of different places, we're spoiled since NJ has a lot of really good quality spots. We've only had the plain pie from here, so cant really speak to anything else but we love it and this has been our top choice for the last few weeks.“
“We've been ordering here for a while now. It's one of the better NY/NJ style pizzas in the area without being too specialized.Their pasta and meat menu items are where they are best - looking at you Chicken Puicinella and Cavatelli with Broccoli. For appetizers, they have great wings which are crispy, the way I like them. Also, the fried calamari uses a very light batter, so it's not too heavy. We've ordered trays from them twice for parties and we weren't disappointed in the quantity provided and they were affordable.“
“1000000 stars. Everything is delicious: from the pizza, the sandwiches; the salads. The entrees are delicious and authentic: I come here everyday for lunch: they serve a hot steam table which consists of a protein and a pasta. It changes daily and never disapppints. Sometimes they'll have up to 4 options.I LOVE this place.“
“Ordered a large pepperoni and sausage pizza with a side of calamari. The pizza quality never fails and is always tasty with the right amount of sauce, toppings, and cheese. The marinara sauce for the calamari is clearly made from scratch and took me by surprise by how fresh and homemade it tasted.Their staff were also super attentive and helpful in bringing out the food for tables, packing leftovers, bringing utensils, and water.“
“Not a bad place to grab a bite. Was up in this area at my works headquarters and went here for lunch. Had the patty melt, and although good, I've had better patty melts. As for pizza, the other three co-workers I was with all got personal pizzas and they looked great!!!“
“Wow. I’ve wanted to try this place for ages, and it was better than I expected. I love Neapolitan pizza. Nomad, a local competitor, is good, but their pies are pretty small and have far more crust than toppings. Lombardi? Way better pie sizes and rich, delicious, flavorful toppings. I had the mushroom and cheese pizza, and I added bacon and hot honey (the honey I just added at home because I ordered delivery). WOW. I chewed as slowly as possible so that I could enjoy every bite…it’s been a long time since I’ve had food good enough to do that. What a treat.“
“THE RESTAURANTThis place is a beautiful hidden gem right next to the canal river. It’s tucked away into a small south bound Brook town and just down the road you can park and walk the canal. Ovations boasts a parking lot with ample space. If it’s full, you can park along the street! I wouldn’t wear sweatpants here. Dress respectfully and you’ll be much better received. Don’t over do it, just don’t dress like you’re headed to Walmart at 9pm for that toilet paper you said you’d get after work ??THE FOOD: braised beef and risotto has always been solid. The flat breads are good as well if you’re interested in a lighter meal with a drink.THE DRINK: I’ll be honest, not a big drinker but the drinks I’ve had, give me a buzz. The serves are friendly so if you vibe well I’m sure you’d get some good drinks. That being said, alcohol is an extremely dangerous substance, it can lead you to choices that will change your life negatively forever.THE CANALBound Brook isn’t the safest area in the world, but the canal is on the SOUTH bound Brook side. So long as you’re smart and aware of your surroundings, you can confidently enjoy a walk!Parking: Ample private parking, and street parking is very convenient“
