“Anticipation was that I am going to an old school Italian restaurant with 90 years tradition. And that was exactly what I encountered. Simplified old look, polite and hospitable workers, and good food. Portions are ridiculously large. One of the times I went was during their September Wednesday deals when you can order a pasta and get another one for 1$, and I expected due to promotion that servings might be slightly smaller. Since I ate one and brought the other one home, I measured it and it was 3.2 Lbs portion!!!

“Idc... What these first time ppl is saying. I don't agree!!!! I first started eating El Greco when my boyfriend lived around the way. And I loved they food. After that I took they menu and this was about 2012. Now, because of the pandemic things changed. But, to me It didn't. Not only that they're food is good and not stingy. Sooo.. as today and for a long time I'm not upset... The only thing I wish that they would put on the menu is either pasta, or meatballs and chicken Parm.. for more maybe sandwiches. But I love this store❤️?“

“I had a birthday party for my daughter here. In all we were about 20 guests. Kim and husband created a special menu for the occasion. It was absolutely amazing! Everyone raved about how delicious everything was. We had cold antipasto, rice balls, eggplant rollatini, calamari, chicken wings and pizza. There was so much food! I highly recommend Ungaro for any occasion or just dinner which is how I came about going there in the first place. Thank you again for a wonderful, memorable occasion!“

I was sad to see the confetti cake go, but they suggested the cinnamon one — guess I've got my next visit planned! I ordered the garlic knot. It's the hugest l've ever seen. John was our server, and he was awesome—super friendly and very personable. He checked on us just enough without hovering and gave us great recommendations.
I really missed coming here. It felt so nice to just sit, relax, and not feel rushed while enjoying our food. The clam pie was amazing, and the buffalo calamari was just as good. Parking is still terrible (it took us over 20 minutes to find a spot), but honestly, it was worth the hassle and wait for a table. Overall, great food and great service. “If you are looking for GOOD NY style pizza, you need to try Nonno's. There are many pizzerias in the Clifton / Nutley area, but in my opinion the pizza here is one of the best I have had. Sauce is favourable. Cheese is good quality unlike some places where they fall off the moment you pick up the slice. Service is super friendly and accommodating.
