“We held a special birthday party for my husband in their private upstairs room and could not have been happier. The whole experience from start to finish was terrific. We had a smaller event and it's a pretty big room, but it felt just right the way the tables were arranged. We got in early enough to set up and everyone from management to the bartender and servers were as nice and accommodating as could be. I cannot say enough good things. If you are looking for a space for an event, look no further!“

“Been coming here for almost a year and got to share our thoughts on the food. We live in Basking Ridge and we travel here for their food because it's just that good. The pizza slices are huge (compared to other places) and they're very tasty and chocked full of whatever you ordered on them. We usually go late weekends for a late dinner or to buy for the next day.

Besides the food if you're lucky to have Malcom at the counter you're in for a great experience! He was there on our first visit and he was great! He explained the different slices available and even made recommendations of what to try first or what... Most places will tell you all is good and push whatever they have left but not Malcom - great customer service! Because of the pizzas and quite frankly Malcom's personality of welcoming and appreciating us as customers we usually go at least once a month if not more.

We've now tried at least 2/3rd of the pizzas and most of them have become favs so we have to resort to alternating our choices. The times that we go and there's no Malcom we're left with the quintessential pizza slingers or worst! For us, Malcom makes the trip worthwhile!

“The new(er) space is open, and you don't have to wait forever for a table, but Artie's, nee Arturo's, has lost some of the charm inherent in its crowded and communal former home in the heart of downtown Maplewood. In it's current iteration, it feels less of a neighborhood restaurant despite the friendly staff and still bustling crowds. It's more or a trek now that you have to drive to it, and parking is not easy if the back lot is full. The food is still good, but the portion sizes seem a bit smaller even though the menu prices are more inflated. I'd still recommend Artie's for a tasty meal and great pies; I'm just not as devoted as I used to be.“

“Been coming to this spot since I was 3! I was a bit apprehensive when I heard they had switched owners, and would be offering more than just pizza and would no longer just be cash only. “If you are looking for GOOD NY style pizza, you need to try Nonno's. There are many pizzerias in the Clifton / Nutley area, but in my opinion the pizza here is one of the best I have had. Sauce is favourable. Cheese is good quality unlike some places where they fall off the moment you pick up the slice. Service is super friendly and accommodating. It's a small place with a feeling of a neighbourhood-go-to pizzeria“

The boss' service was very good and he patiently heated up the pizza. The brother who was sitting next to me drinking beer was also very friendly and told me that the similar looking pizzas were not the same, they used different cheese.
The pizza is really, really delicious. It's the best pizza I've ever had in Bloomfield.
It's a pity that the six point bar does not have such good service. They didn't believe my student ID and refused to sell me alcohol, however the bar opposite welcomed me warmly.

Id say only thing I’ve experienced was peeling the foil back from the wrap a small piece of foil would stick at the top where it gets cut and I had to remove it. Not a big deal for me, but some people don’t look over their food before biting. 🫶🏻

“We are lucky in New Jersey to have some many great local pizza places, but Gennaro's is a step above most. Their pizza is extremely good, both as slices bought from the counter and as whole pies. It's really as good as pizza gets. In addition to pizza, their sandwiches and meals are great. Their cheesesteaks are excellent, as are chicken dishes, etc. I've never had anything less than an "A" experience at Gennaro's. If you want to take people from out of state to teach them what pizza is supposed to taste like, take them here.“
