First off, Dave (I am assuming the owner) and Danny our server, were super gracious and inviting and offered some great suggestions. I had the birria tacos which were great. We were a part of 4 and everybody loved their meals. My wife is a vegetarian and there were plenty of options for her. The guacamole was perfect. Street corn appetizer was fantastic. I highly recommend! Best Mexican food in East Brunswick.“

“This is a hidden gem. I tried this restaurant out because so many satisfied customers. I tried the candied wing dinner which came with 2 sides; I had the yellow rice and string beans. I have say the wings were phenomenal!!!! The service is great and everyone that works are very welcoming. Everything was freshly made, so it pay to order and pickup. “So for food we decided to order the corn bread, Mac & Cheese, Burnt ends and brisket cheesesteak.

The corn bread was awesome. So fluffy and full of flavor.

The Mac and cheese was delicious. I found myself adding a piece of burnt ends along with it, and you couldn’t go wrong.

The burnt ends were the star of the show. Incredible flavor and were nice and tender.

The only somewhat disappointing item was the cheesesteak. It was good but not something I probably would order again.

Overall good time - wish they had more tables or space, but it’s a nice lil spot“

“Was here in on a mini vacation and was recommended to this place . As I woman that works in the food industry this pace was really good !!! They were busy but got our food out in a good quality time . Garlic shrimp was amazing !!! Dave the sauce for dipping your bread and even adding your rice for a nice twist !!! Will def come back ! Staff was friendly . And it’s a byob which makes it great as I’m on a budget with travel . Thank you guys !!!“

After seeing the reviews here and elsewhere, it was very clear we had to come here while we were in the area, and now we know why! All of the meat was absolutely sensational, well cooked, seasoned well, and just melt-in-your-mouth delicious. “Jersey Joe’s is truly the best. They catered a large bbq I hosted this summer and did a phenomenal job, I’m still getting compliments on the food even now. This was the first large event I was hosting at my new house, and I was worried I bit off more than I could chew, but jersey Joe’s made everything so much easier for me. I didn’t have to worry at all, they took care of set up and clean up, they packed up all the extra food and even put it in my fridge for me, and all my guests raved about how kind all the workers were. “My wife and I have been coming here for years and never had a bad experience until recently. The last two times we visited, the service and food quality were not the same. When I walked in and greeted the young gentleman at the counter, he didn’t respond — just gave me a sour look without saying a word. It left a bad impression.

Also, even though we picked up the food within 20 minutes like they said, it was cold and the fries were stale.

We’ve always enjoyed Estrela da Serra BBQ and hope this was just a rough patch. Hoping for a better experience next time.“

“WOW! Not only a great price for the huge amount of food but outstanding taste. I got the chicken and ribs with rice and black beans. I did get a side of piri piri(was amazing)to add some heat. The char and seasoning was spot on. Chicken fall off the bone. Ribs perfect for this style of cooking and hard to find where I live. Very well done. Do wish they had Pão de Bico or if they do as an option on grubhub. Wish I lived here as this would be a regular Togo spot.“

“I like how the restaurant is decorated with a Western theme and that they play Country music. The food and the service is overall very good. They are usually very quick and friendly. Sometimes if you order an additional item with your main course there may be an extra wait for it. They once forgot to give me the mushrooms that I ordered and I didn't notice it until I got home. But when I called the manager kindly sent me a $10. gift card. I especially like their wildest shrimp, chicken wings and their corn. Their prices are very reasonable as well and their portions are pretty good.

Make sure you check your napkins and flatware. I was once given a set that had hair on the napkin.“

“My girlfriend and I went last night. On our way we stopped at the gas station adjacent to the restaurant. As I rolled down the window all I could smell is the exhaust from the grill and my stomach immediately started to grumble. Although we have been many many times, our go to is the combo plate of a half chicken and ribs. My girlfriend is not a fan of garlic. Sometimes the rice can be a little garlicky but everything there is delicious.“
