“My wife and I have been coming here for years and never had a bad experience until recently. The last two times we visited, the service and food quality were not the same. When I walked in and greeted the young gentleman at the counter, he didn’t respond — just gave me a sour look without saying a word. It left a bad impression.
Also, even though we picked up the food within 20 minutes like they said, it was cold and the fries were stale.
We’ve always enjoyed Estrela da Serra BBQ and hope this was just a rough patch. Hoping for a better experience next time.“

“Been to this location in the past and stop in for dinner when I'm in the area. As in the past, we were greeted as we entered and immediately seated. Our server introduced herself, Heather took our drink and dinner order quickly after being seated. Our steaks were prepared perfectly to med-rare temperature and our sides were also excellent. Very good dining experience.“

“Being a truck driver you are very happy when you can get hot delicious food delivered to you at your convenience. The hot wings were great.They were delivered in a timely manner with great service as always. I’ve had the fried chicken in the past and it was also good but I must say the Buffalo Wings are now my new favorite.“

“The staff was wonderful but the brisket is incredible and tender. My hats off to the chef! Better than famous Dave’s brisket. They have these amazing Brussel sprouts that I could make a whole meal out of. I’ll be returning soon. FYI Everything is a la carte“

“I tried it for the first time today, and it was excellent. I got the extra spicy BBQ wings and the brisket with mac and cheese and candied yams. The wings had the perfect balance of sweet and spicy, the brisket was super juicy, and the sides were perfectly done. I ordered takeout and, even after an 8-minute drive home, everything was still piping hot. I’ll definitely be back and hope they don’t change a thing.“

“We ordered our thanksgiving dinner from here, and everything was AMAZING! Turkey, cornbread stuffing, Mac & cheese, mashed potatoes and apple crumb pie for dessert. Everything was delicious! We always love their food & would highly recommend!“

“Big Ed’s BBQ is a really great establishment. Amazing food and service. However, I think it should be against restaurants to make their customers pay a 18% gratuity automatically on the customers bill. The customer should choose their prefer tip. This should be illegal!!!“

“Was here in on a mini vacation and was recommended to this place . As I woman that works in the food industry this pace was really good !!! They were busy but got our food out in a good quality time . Garlic shrimp was amazing !!! Dave the sauce for dipping your bread and even adding your rice for a nice twist !!! Will def come back ! Staff was friendly . And it’s a byob which makes it great as I’m on a budget with travel . Thank you guys !!!“
“Dinner was great. First timers. We had shrimp in garlic appetizer, combo with 1/2 chicken and ribs-pork, rice and fries. And 1/2 chicken with rice and veggies. Everything was of good quality and very delicious. We’d order from you guys again. Thank you for a wonderful dinner!“

“Superb service by employees, one of my new favorite places to go. Disappointing that is so far from where I live but still well worth the drive. All the seafood seems super fresh, highly recommend. Not a fan of their new ordering system which requires a employees code to order certain dishes.“

“My wife and I ate at Ford's in late December 2024. Boy are we glad we did! After seeing the reviews here and elsewhere, it was very clear we had to come here while we were in the area, and now we know why! We had never experienced Portuguese BBQ before, and holy moley, was it delicious!\n\nI had a lunch-sized chicken and pork ribs combo, and my wife had the lunch-sized chicken and beef ribs combo. All of the meat was absolutely sensational, well cooked, seasoned well, and just melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The BBQ sauce that came with it was also tasty, but honestly we felt like we didn't even need it because the meat was so tender and juicy.\n\nThe fries and yellow rice were also very tasty.\n\nAnd even when you get the lunch-sized portions, you get TONS of food, like we both got more than enough for both lunch and dinner.\n\nThe gentleman behind the counter was very friendly and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed to enjoy the meal.\n\nI'm not sure when or if we'll be back in the Fords/Woodbridge area, but if we are, we will definitely put this on our "must do" list every time.“

“Just tried this place and WOW ! The food was absolutely delicious. The chicken had the perfect amount of kick and flavor, and the pork was seasoned to perfection. And let me tell you… the Curried Beef Lumpia and the fresh fruit juices was to die for.
On top of that, the service was amazing. The owner is so warm and kind, which really made the whole experience even better.
The only downside is that it was pretty cold inside there’s a noticeable draft. If they can fix that and make it warmer, it would be the perfect place to sit and really enjoy your meal comfortably.
Overall, definitely worth checking out. I’ll absolutely be back!“

“Jersey Joe’s is truly the best. They catered a large bbq I hosted this summer and did a phenomenal job, I’m still getting compliments on the food even now. This was the first large event I was hosting at my new house, and I was worried I bit off more than I could chew, but jersey Joe’s made everything so much easier for me. I didn’t have to worry at all, they took care of set up and clean up, they packed up all the extra food and even put it in my fridge for me, and all my guests raved about how kind all the workers were. I’d give them 12/10 stars!“

It may not be in the most prestigious area, but once you step inside and taste the food, you’ll understand why it’s a hidden gem. The steak was cooked perfectly , tender, juicy, and full of flavor. And the seafood? Fresh, well-seasoned, and beautifully prepared. Highly recommended!!!!“

“Cast Iron Pot Island is a game-changer for Korean BBQ on Staten Island! Finally, a solid AYCE spot right here—went with a group and we were stuffed and happy. The highlight is definitely the meats: tender marinated bulgogi, juicy pork belly, flavorful brisket, and marinated chicken all grilled perfectly (love that the staff comes to cook it at the table so you don't have to fuss with the grill).“

“Been coming here for like 20 years and although servers and managers change over time the food and prices remain the same. We’ve ordered take out and also dine in and it’s always so good. Food is always delicious and fresh, and prices are remain incredible. Hope they don’t raise the prices because they will always be our go to for comfort food! Where else can 4 people eat and have leftovers for $35??“
