“Stopped by yesterday, New Year's Eve 2025 with the family. Many restaurants closed. The staff great great to us. Very welcoming and our waiter was excellent and attentive. No one wants to work New Year's Eve, they would rather be home but we are so very thankful that they were welcoming and kind. The food was excellent. After weeks of cleaning our home and decorating for two major holidays, we just needed a break. We had such a good time at this restaurant. We recommend it. Thank you again to the staff who worked New Year's Eve.“

Even the steamed broccoli was seasoned well. Their garlic sauce is made using garlic, vinegar, and hot sauce; very good for those of us interested in eating clean. Would definitely recommend!“

“My second time visiting jollof & grill and I brought my friend with me. We were happily greeted upon entering and even got to meet the owner. She’s the sweetest person ever 🩷We ordered the beef suya combo and it was delicious. The jollof rice was flavorful. I love the raw onions and cabbage that comes with it. The beef suya was also cooked to perfection. The plantains were ripe and tasty as well. & Can we talk about portions? You get a lot of food for the price. I shared half w/ my grandma and she enjoyed her food as well. Will definitely be returning in the future!“

“Jersey Joe’s is truly the best. They catered a large bbq I hosted this summer and did a phenomenal job, I’m still getting compliments on the food even now. This was the first large event I was hosting at my new house, and I was worried I bit off more than I could chew, but jersey Joe’s made everything so much easier for me. I didn’t have to worry at all, they took care of set up and clean up, they packed up all the extra food and even put it in my fridge for me, and all my guests raved about how kind all the workers were. I’d give them 12/10 stars!“

There is one thing I don’t like about this place their parking if for whatever reason you do not have or missed or can not used your phone to pay for the parking instead of a$6 parking space you’ll get a ticket from this private company the owner of this parking lot and they send you a $104 fee insanely high !! Taking advantage of the people and technically 3 times the fee of a larking ticket you’ll get from the Montclair police dept. Robbery for sure and taking advantage of the state to charge high fees. Be aware of people of the scam in this parking spot ..“

“My girlfriend and I went last night. On our way we stopped at the gas station adjacent to the restaurant. As I rolled down the window all I could smell is the exhaust from the grill and my stomach immediately started to grumble. Although we have been many many times, our go to is the combo plate of a half chicken and ribs. My girlfriend is not a fan of garlic. Sometimes the rice can be a little garlicky but everything there is delicious.“

“My wife and I have been coming here for years and never had a bad experience until recently. The last two times we visited, the service and food quality were not the same. When I walked in and greeted the young gentleman at the counter, he didn’t respond — just gave me a sour look without saying a word. It left a bad impression.

Also, even though we picked up the food within 20 minutes like they said, it was cold and the fries were stale.

We’ve always enjoyed Estrela da Serra BBQ and hope this was just a rough patch. Hoping for a better experience next time.“

“I have been wanting some great Jamaican food since I moved from NY in 2021. Thankfully I found this spot. I ordered the jerk pork, rice and peas, cabbage/carrot dinner, along with a large goat soup, festival and a Soursop drink. The pork is divine, well seasoned, juicy, tender and succulent, the rice and peas were flavorful and moist, the cabbage/carrots were very tasty too. The “goat” soup had 1 piece of goat inside but that not withstanding it was seasoned well. The Soursop drink was delicious a bit sweet but still very good. The festival was really good and a great match for soup. I will definitely recommend them to everyone I know and be coming back soon! Visit them today and don’t delay. There’s plenty parking“
