In today's world, where one struggles, especially if old like we are, to speak to a live human being, when you are able to converse with a person who is actually listening to what you said, this is rare. Add to that delicious fresh food and you have a winner. Tonight we had fresh large shrimps with a most delicious home made cocktail sauce. Fresh crab cakes with a fabulous remoulade, and a chocolate mousse to die for as dessert. We ordered too much and have to save some for tomorrow. We live in town, and are happy to see the names of so many out of town visitors appreciate Chesapeake Tavern.“

Tofu was firm and well cooked. The curry was rich and complex and had a full-bodied spice flavor. Can't wait to try something else!“

They did not disappoint. The general manager, Alexis was a pleasure to work with, and was helpful with menu choices, and whatever additional asks I had. (A table area for a display, AV hook-up for a slide presentation, and complimentary drink “coupons” for my guests. “My first time here and the food was great! The atmosphere inside is really nice and they play good music. The mushroom ravioli, charcuterie and lamb lollipop were all fantastic! We went at night on a cold day; but, we plan to go back in the summer or maybe lunch to catch views of the lake. I would definitely recommend!“

“Brian is a gem, great service and Drinks. Some of the other should take tips from him, not as good but overall service and food is very good. There should be uniformity in cooking, for example the pastrami sloppy joe has been in 2 pcs ,grilled and other times it's 3 pcs toasted, other times it's not grilled or tosted and served sandwich style, 2 pcs. White bread!! Great food and drinks overall, no matter how it's served. Try them and you'll become a regular patron!!

“Picked up a pie half plain half mushroom and onion. The crust was crumbly like an ingredient was missing or something. Very wierd first time I've ever had this experience with pizza ,anywhere. Have had food here before and although I was never like," that place is the best". This was my first disappointment with the food.
