“well i was all ready to leave a 5 star review.. till the bill came.. food.. service.. everything was just great.. very cute place.. but where I ran into a issue was I asked if I could substitute hash browns for home fries. the eggs came with 2 eggs hash browns and toast.. for a great price I think 7.99.. I was told yes no problem.. so when I got bill there was a 4.50 charge for the hash browns.. I assumed a error was made so we asked.. she said no that you get charged for the substitute.. now had she told me that when I ordered I would have just had the home fries.. but I did not get the home fries with my meal.. so they charged the hash browns as a side. but did not give the home fries that was included.. so although it sounds silly.. i felt they should have been much clearer.. I feel bad even bringing this up but spending 40.00 on 2 breakfast is a bit much...so yes the 4.50 was almost the tip.. which I did leave 6.00.. so yes it was 40 bucks for breakfast.. but still a very cute place.. good food.. friendly..but I was a bit taken back“

“We can’t thank the Farm at Glenwood Mountain enough for how special they made our wedding day! Everything was absolutely perfect. The farm property is gorgeous and the barn’s cathedral ceiling is breathtaking. The food was incredible and is still being talked about, months after our wedding. Steve, Candice, and Stacy communicated with us every step of the way and made us feel so comfortable in our decisions, especially the few months and weeks leading up to the big day. We would recommend this venue to ANYONE and EVERYONE that is looking for a quality venue with staff and owners that care so deeply for their clients. We are eternally grateful for the opportunity they gave us to share such an important day with our closest family and friends, and are thrilled to have become part of the Farm Family! Not only that one particular owner takes tip money away from waitresses because you used your CC. Could you imagine the owner taking tip money away, because a customer used a credit card. “Nice bar restaurant at the end of a round. We were there on a Wednesday and it was empty. We order BBQ knowing that it was not going to be fresh as the grills were not going. That said the brisket and pulled port were still good. The sweet potato fries were good as well. Little crispy. We both should have order the bbq souce on the side. Too much on for our taste but we should have asked. Great bar with a large selection of whiskey and bourbon. Service was great too. I would go back. Like to see how it is when it’s fresh.“

“This is the best food in Vernon served by the friendliest stuff at the best prices , t The Place is Amazing ,if you are new in the area or just visiting Vernon just stop by because there is no better place for breakfast lunch and dinner at the writing of this post. “TLDR: Top tier brisket. Nearly as good as Texas brisket and certainly best I have had in New Jersey thus far. The hidden restaurant in the middle of a garden is so quaint and peaceful, I recommend going for lunch or a cozy dinner. View of the surrounding hills is also amazing.

Quality of Food: I had no complaints about the food. The garden salad was refreshing and did not lack in its flavor. The brisket was AMAZING. If you look at my other reviews, you will find I am originally from the south and have frequented a few BBQ places in New Jersey, all of which have fallen short of what I have come to find as quality BBQ. This. Did. Not. Disappoint. The brisket was slightly marbled and melted in your mouth. I can only imagine the quality of the Rib Steak if the brisket was top notch. The cornbread was the only thing I could say was standard taste and quality.

Quality of Service: It was neither over-the top nor mediocre service. Seemed like a decent amount of young adults were waiting on tables. We stopped in for a quick bite before heading to a festival, but we had no issues getting our order taken, food delivered and check processed quickly.

Environment & Ambiance: Can't be compared to the other locations at the resort. The garden by itself is adorable and makes you feel like you're in a storybook. Looking out towards the hills provides a feeling of awe. The outside ambiance and cute tables and chairs makes you feel like you're joining Alice at a tea party.

Pricing and Concerns: It's certainly not cheap if you are ordering their higher priced options. However, that being said, it is most definitely worth every penny. Not to mention you're at a resort, so what would you expect besides expensive dishes? For a party of two you can keep it under $$$. Add drinks or an extra person and you're going over. No other concerns to note.

“I really liked everything I ate here. For dinner, the chicken and sweet potato dish was great and really enjoyed their pear cocktail. Their breakfast buffet was great. The overnight oats were fantastic. They have a huge spread from lox and cheese table, yogurts and oatmeal, pastries, omelet station, pancakes, waffles and all the fixings. It's pricey but definitely gave a lot of options.“

“4 of us went there last night not knowing reservations are recommended. We were able to be seated at 5:30 but told (not so nicely) that there was a reservation coming at 7 for this particular table! I almost walked out after that comment was made. Other than that, the food was delicious and our waitress was great!“

“Haven't been there in years. Went back to try something new. Happily surprised. Went on Friday. Brought the whole family back on Sunday. The service is excellent and very personable. Met the owner. Very nice couple. You don't feel rushed. The food is very good. Large portions so be hungry when you go. Great value. I also enjoyed the music. I just missed the piano player because I had to leave but I'll be back.“

“Was in the Newton area so I stopped to have some breakfast, a friend of mine recommended the Hampton diner so I went in to check it out.
Upon entering there was a beautiful Christmas tree.
Nice and spacious. Pleasant staff.
I had toasted bagel with Lox. Very good I should say the way the plate was decorated looked very appealing.

“Stopped in for lunch. Atmosphere was comfortable. My server Jutay was amazing, very positive attitude. Had the soup of the day with fresh squeezed lemon, which elevated the taste even more. My burger was juicy and flavorful. My only suggestion would be to have those in the dining room, not be listening to their phone on speaker. I plan on visiting again!!“
