“We’ve eaten at Gulab in Cliffside Park several times, and the food is always excellent. The chicken tikka is flavorful and tender, the chicken biryani is perfectly seasoned, and the naan comes out nice and warm every time.

The restaurant is cozy and people seem to really enjoy their time… having nice conversations. I have seen groups of families, couples and also individuals going to have a reasonably priced lunchtime meal Today. We had delicious lunchtime meal for $15 which included an entrée bread, rice, lentils, and dessert. You really can’t be that price and the food is really delicious not oily not greasy and the service is super kind and they make you feel like a very special customer. The food was truly outstanding. The chicken tikka masala was so tender you could cut it with a fork, and the flavors were spot on. The aloo tikki chaat was a highlight—the sauce was so rich and flavorful that after finishing the delicious potato patties, we asked to keep the plate just so we could soak up every last bit with naan!.And the mango chutney—wow! Sweet but not overpowering, bursting with flavor.

“We had a great experience at Manhattan Valley. Excellent and attentive wait staff and a head waiter with a quick and amusing sense of humor. His hilarious quips added greatly to the friendly atmosphere of the place, and his recommendations on what to order were spot-on. Ours was a party of six. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted and shown to a large table in the rear of the restaurant which was completely set up and waiting for us. It was suggested that we might like to start with both hot and cold appetizer platters while we perused the large and varied menu before ordering the rest of our meal. The appetizer platters arrived quickly and just after our drink orders were filled. The two platters were varied and delicious. Our waiter was very helpful in choosing a variety of complimentary dishes for a family-style meal, including some special dishes not listed on the menu. All were delicious, although next time, I may ask for the spicyness level to be raised a notch or two. All in all, a very enjoyable evening spent with good friends. The food was delicious, especially the bhuna goat and the shrimp biryani, and the service friendly and attentive. I'm looking forward to returning!“
