“After finishing the kids' new school registration, we stopped by this pizza place for lunch. It was probably the first lunch I'd ever had in this neighborhood. We'd just finalized the house contract, so I'd taken a bus from a hotel in New York City to get here early in the morning.

Both my kids and I wanted a slice of Margherita pizza. But they only had two slices left! I was about to just order something else. But a kitchen staff member who was about to take a break came back in and made us a pizza. They willingly baked a whole new pizza just for one slice of Margherita. That pizza was so delicious, I still can't forget the taste of that Margherita. We were hungry and tired, but it tasted even better because of the staff's kindness in baking a fresh pizza just for us, for that one slice.

Since then, we've become regulars here and still order the Margherita pizza. And honestly, the pizza is truly delicious. It's not just because we feel grateful that we keep coming back.“

I wanted my husband who’s from Baltimore to try zeppole, he’s never heard of it and for me, growing up in Bk and Staten Island it was one of my childhood favs. They didn’t have any made when I asked about it which was fine but while I was in conversation with their delivery driver the owner came out with some. He actually went out of his way to make me some zeppole, and it was delicious and extremely nostalgic for me. He has no idea how that made my day and brought back so many memories to me. Their food is delicious, atmosphere warm and friendly. I recommend this place and we will be back.“

“The request was find the best pizza near our hotel. After comparing some reviews we headed to Urban Tomato. It’s in a neighborhood setting across from a church. The restaurant decor is simple but comfortable with a great hosts. We never felt cramped. The boys enjoyed a chicken pizza half garlic and half bbq drizzle and my wife and I enjoyed a fungi white pizza that was out of this world. I continue to say this, if g-d had given Jersey the water, their pizza would be king.“

“While the fried calamari that my partner had was very good, the cheeseburger that I ordered, not so good. The meat and the bun and all were fresh and good, but while I preferred medium it didn't exactly come out that way even after two tries by the kitchen. Their version of medium came out as raw red meat on the first bite. They took it back but and brought out another and although half was close to medium the other half was rare bordering on raw. After eating the good half I gave up and filled up on the fries (average). I pointed this out to another server but nothing was offered in terms of a discount or comp so we just paid and left. Had better luck with the bar drinks, fwiw.“

Prices for slices are overpriced but prices for pies are very fair. Being open late is a huge plus in this area. Far from the best pizza around, but it’s one of those spots you end up going back to anyway. sometimes the staff is in a great mood and helpful and sometimes they look cooked. “Tried Mario’s Pizza & Pasta in Saddle Brook for the first time and I’ll definitely be coming back! The food was outstanding, the staff went above and beyond, and the menu has so many options that I can’t wait to explore more.

The chicken cutlet wrap and lomo steak sandwich were absolutely incredible - highly recommend both. And whatever you do, don’t forget to ask for the green sauce, it takes everything to another level!

Before we even got into his specific allergies, she wiped down the prep area, changed her gloves and showed us their allergy binder. When casually talking with the owner, he mentioned having friends with food allergies so he definitely understood the severity of being diligent with prep. “So…this is an Upper West Side 5 star. The plain slice (the tone setter) is a brooklyn 3 star. The specialty slices were good. They focus on thin crust…which I like. The atmosphere is a 5 star, you can comfortably order some slices and have a seat…not intimidating or tight. I live on the UWS so I will be returning to try more of the specialty slices, the Sicilian looked good but it came out after I ate.“

He was very accommodating and told us that we can upgrade pastas and sauces with our meals. He started us off with warm Focaccia bread, I then ordered the veal parm. and mixed it with the Cacio e Pepe and a glass of Cabernet. My wife ordered the Bolognese with an Aperol Spritz. I had put in my reservation that we were celebrating my wife's birthday and Nick brought three desserts to the menu which was a nice touch. “The pizza here is unbelievable. I've had the pizza from this place 2x now and the second time proves the first time wasn't a fluke. The Grandmas pie is absolutely worth the money. Crispy, thin and tons of flavor. Usually Grandmas is so dry and tasteless. This is fantastic. The hot vodka pepperoni pizza was also perfect. Super friendly when I got the pie. If you like crisp and thin pizza this is the place to go. Haven't eaten there yet but looks like it's been nicely renovated. Can't wait to try some of there other items besides the pizza, but it's tough once you have the pizza to want anything else.“
