“Fabulous food, excellent service, wonderful restaurant !!!“

“Has been our favorite restaurant for quite a few years. I LOVE their Veal Chop (I've had close to 100 over the years!!) and if i stray and go to pasta, the Wild Mushroom Ravioli has one of the best sauces you'll ever taste. My friend loves the Lasagna, various Chicken dishes and this time, she said the Orechiette alla Maria was so delicious! We've been starting with the Hot Antipasto for Two to get a taste of varied favorites (but they let us substitute NO mussels for extra clams). The Caesar Salad is always crisp and tasty. The service is outstanding and friendly with ample busboys delivering the extras and cleaning the table. We should also mention the super-friendly hostesses who start your meal off with a very positive note. Thank you all for an all-around enjoyable evening time and time again!“

“We have been to Made in Italy many times during all of the ownership changes. We have been for dinner, had graduation parties and gone for dessert only. We were so happy to hear that it was open at night again. My husband recently had knee replacement and was itching to get out. We decided to go for coffee/dessert at Made in Italy. He struggled to get in the car and out when we arrived. It was 8:30 Saturday night when they close at 10. There were over 15 tables open - we asked to be seated for coffee and dessert only to be told they don’t do that. They wouldn’t seat us - they gave us their card and told us to check the menu when we got home- which we did. The second paragraph of the website says - stop by just to have a cup of our gourmet coffee. They had many tables open and preferred to turn us away. Needless to say - we will not be going back.“

“Yum! The slices were so good. Went for one, and got two. I am only holding back from giving 5 star on atmosphere because I can't promote the Graffiti of Tony Soprano with a cigarette burning in the hand. The visual is not cool to me. Takes away from a family touch that it could have been. Also lacking recycling options. Sad to see so many soda bottles getting trashed.“

“Perfect seamless reservation - plenty of parking even texted to let us know where to park. Inside wonderful atmosphere all the staff was friendly. The food was amazing -especially the Caesar Salad . The vibe & energy is first rate positive fun & culinary enjoyment. I believe that this fine dining experience is also driven by the owner Matthew who is usually in the restaurant greeting guests & helping out. When you visit Matthew's you'll have a great time and it'll feel like you're on mini-vacation from the stress of every day life while seemingly enjoying the warmth of family. Let's see.I was walking around looking for a place to eat and saw this deli , mind you that when you see a line outside a deli and customers willing wait in the cold for food , you know the food is going to be off the hook ! In line a sweet man was telling the history of the deli and how is the best town and anything I choose will definitely make me happy, another customer arrives and tells me to how much he loves it ! I knew I had found a gem that needs to be shared , because customer's are raving for it , the employees and owner sweetest guy very patient in waiting for me to decide what I wanted I even bought few things brought from Italy while I waited for My delicious 🤤 Little Nicky sandwich 🥪 which not only is so big I ate it for lunch and dinner 🍽️ is the best sandwich I've had in years ! I appreciate the stories of when it was established. I care so much for the excellent customer service and the way they run the place makes you feel like you step into a home! “From the moment we walked in, the host greeted us like old friends and walked us right to our table — I instantly had a good feeling, and I was right. Our server was awesome — super friendly, knew the menu inside out, and was on top of everything all night.

The menu is classic Italian but with a twist — way more interesting than your standard North Jersey Italian spot. The ossobuco was fantastic (if I had to nitpick, I’d say the risotto could’ve used a touch less water and a heavier hand with the parm). The clams were fresh and baked to perfection, and my son devoured his ravioli. For dessert, the bread pudding was absolutely unreal — honestly worth the trip alone.

“We had our daughters 18th Birthday Bash here at the Appian Way on: February 5th, 2022. We dealt with Bob throughout the whole process. And he was just great! Alot is included in the price you receive. And many other venues don't compare when it comes to price. Helping to save you some money along the way. The rooms are beautiful and my guest were amazed. The workers were accommodating and helped get our room together way before time. This helped us tremendously with getting most of the setup being done the night before. The lighting is awesome. The food was absolutely delicious. My guests are still raving about the food. It really was better than I expected. I will definitely be back to celebrate more gatherings. “I was there this past Thursday with six friends (so, total party of seven.) The food was delicious, the service was great & they did a fantastic job of handling a big group like ours. The prices are fair & the overall vibe was so friendly. I forgot to get a pic of their stuffed artichoke but it’s amazing! As good as my grams (if that’s your thing of course.) We also ordered the hot antipasto appy & the portobello mushroom appy (which I would absolutely order again next time!) They give you a complimentary salad, & the dinner portions were HUGE. All in all a super awesome little “hidden gem.”
Also, I’d like to add that they were very accommodating regarding honoring gluten free requests!“

We were able to arrive early to decorate our party area that already looked very nice without our decorations. “My husband works in Hawthorne and we we’re looking for a good Italian restaurant. After Google reviews we decided to order from Ossy’s and we are so glad we did. When you first walk in the atmosphere is nostalgic and authentic. The staff is so warm and welcoming. I spoke with Ken the last time to place our order and he was a total sweetheart. We have ordered from them twice so far and their food is second to none. You can taste their passion for food. My husband ordered the Chicken Napolitano both times and said it was out of this world delicious. My son ordered Rigatoni with Vodka sauce and practically licked his plate clean!! I ordered Chicken Marsala and Chicken Sorrentino and it was one of the best I have ever had. Yes this is coming from a Jersey Italian whose family once owned a restaurant in Newark so my standards are very high. We did takeout but we are looking forward to bringing the family to the restaurant for a sit down meal. If you are looking for a great Italian restaurant look no further. Ossy’s is your place!“
