“Super friendly service, gave me a free bottle of water while I waited. I got BBQ chicken wings and fries and the fries hit but the wings were way overcooked to the point of there not being any meat left. Would maybe return to try the fish instead.“

“This review is long overdue, but I ordered a larger batch of catfish nuggets from Geno’s last month for a small dinner I was hosting with friends — and they were a hit!
It was my first time ordering from them so I stopped by a day before to check out the space (I prefer not to order from restaurants sight unseen). For a restaurant that serves fried fish, it was spotless inside...that was the very first thing I noticed! The place was bright, fresh, and very clean.
I placed my order in advance and paid ahead. When I arrived to pick it up, everything was piping hot and fresh. The fish didn’t taste like it was cooked in old oil (I'm always nervous about that), and it was perfectly seasoned, lightly crispy, and delicious. I also tried the cabbage salad with kale, which was amazing. I’ve thought about it several times since and I'll definitely be back for that.
What really made it a 10/10 experience was the owner. She was so kind and has such a warm, genuine spirit. It made my first-time experience that much better. Everyone I interacted with there was friendly and welcoming.
I love finding local spots that get both the food and the service right — and Geno’s definitely does. Highly recommend!“
“The food was delicious, I can't wait to visit again. Keep up the great standard guys..One love!!!“

“I have been going to this place since they first opened. I love this family and the food was always great. I moved out of state 20 years ago and went up 2 years ago. I was glad to see them still there and the Owner remembered me from back then. Love their food and the way they treated their employees and customers. I hope they are still there when I come up next time.“

“This is my go to. It's withih walking distance. I'll call ahead and by the time I get there, my guy Brandon Always has my order ready.
Unusually I get the Whiting sandwich, (Which the names is misleading because you'd thik it's A piece of fish rather than the Four Delicious pieces you Actually get!) 🤤
Damn... I just wrote myself into ordering again today! 😄“

“I strictly go here for shrimp and mash! fried or natural, either type are delicious but my fav is the natural’s. I also get a side of tostones with the garlic sauce 🤤 It’s a small spot & could get loud and crowded at times but the food is well worth it, but to go plates are more so the way to go, it’s a good spot you get served fast it’s open 24hrs.“
“My friend brought me here when I was visiting San Francisco and I wished he brought me here multiple times (but theres so much good food in SF). The fish were crispy and the meat was nice and tender. The fries were nice and thick and salted nicely.“

“Went for the honey pork bun and the small Thai fries. The bun is really small. You can see my finger in the photo for size comparison. Everything was very tasty though. It's like having a sweet bacon sandwich. Next time I might order a bucket instead. The Thai fries had a good amount of seasoning and was good with the included mayo. I got dessert in Alamo Drafthouse later so I'm glad the portions weren't big. Gave me room. Expensive though.“

“We went there to get some good seafood & they didn't disappoint us! The server/cook was very nice and professional about their service. The food was delicious and worth to wait for because they cook it after you put the order in. They have a little place to seat and enjoy the meal with friends and family. Overall a very nice restaurant.“

“I was visiting Brooklyn and needed food, I looked up fish on yelp. It was like ennie mennie minnie moe. I chose Soul of the Sea after I viewed the menu. I called first to see if they are open because a lot of businesses closed due to COVID-19. Someone answered immediately and did in fact confirm that they were open. I informed them that I was coming but. When I arrived I announced that I called and placed my order. The person that took my order was very kind, friendly, and courteous. His customer service was fantastic. I ordered the fish sandwich and asked what kind of fish was on the sandwich, he directed me to the menu and said, whiting, do you see it under section of fish sandwich. I did conquer. He told me the price and asked if that price was fine. I said yes and then ordered a carrot cake. His attitude compelled me to buy something as I was eager to support a mom and pop style restaurant. I told the person taking my order that I was passing through and needed to eat. He thanked me for stopping in. The interaction was wonderfully pleasant, the store clean and the staff was attentive. The person that came to the front of the business to sweep, greeted me and thanked me for stopping in. This is an A class, 5 star service restaurant when it comes to serving the customer. Enough about the interaction and now the food. The sandwich was proportioned with a decent amount that was not too filling. I'm used to pieces of fish that were too long for the bread. I am also very pleased that they gave me wheat bread instead of white. The carrot cake was surprisingly not too sweet as I didn't want nothing sweet sweet. Bravo guy's“

A beautiful venue with a stellar rooftop. You can walk in with a whole army and still have the best time ever. I wish I had photos but honestly was too busy having fun“

“we went to the Vegas location and how Gordon Ramsay can put his name to the crap this place serves up is beyond belief. the batter is way to thick and over cooked and the highlight should not be the Dijon mayonnaise that comes with the food. terrible food and a waste of $39“

“Purp offers top tier service when my food order wasn’t correct. I showed the pics and immediately rectified the matter. I also will say she’s a multitasker. She was mopping answering calls and catering to us walk-ins. I appreciate the attention she gave to all things customers.“

“The best fried fish in town. Small husband and wife joint. Nothing fancy to witness but you can appreciate the food they serve it’s such a hidden gem and it’s my all time favorite spot. Took my friend here for lunch today for the first time and he said the best beans in this area hands down.“
“HELLO everyone.
Jay fish market has been my go to for my saw food needs since I moved in the Bronx 6 yearw ago.
The fish is always fresh and the staff is attentive and hard working, they also SERVE fried seafood platters which I intend to TRY but have yet to do so.
The other day when I went to BUY my seafood, I noticed red tilapias. ? I wondered if they WERE a new breed since I never knew that tilapias came in that color, I enquired via google to make sure that they were in fact naturally grown as the black ones. To find out that they are compared to red snapper and it is said that the black ones are usually used for fillets. Anyway I brought one and to my surprise it was delicious, meaty and very tasty ?.
I am giving Jay fish market a thumbs up for selling such good seafood since I have been living in the Bronx. I recommend this location for all your seafood needs, the prices are great, the seafood is fresh and I know the fried seafood is good because people eat in there often even though the place is small.
Enjoy Jay Sea food products, they are top notch in the Bronx.“
“I’ve been a customer at DUNCAN’S for many, many years. It used to be on the corner of Vanderbilt and Myrtle Avenues it was good then and it’s even better now.“

“Ordered salmon and fries
Everything was made to order, so it was hot and fresh. The salmon is tender and perfectly cooked, I just wish it was seasoned a bit more. Fries are fantastic, and the overall meal was affordable. Will be coming again!“

“I went to the seaport to get some sun and then felt like having some shrimp and fish to take home. After looking online, I discovered this place that had great reviews, so I decided to try it. I walked from the south street seaport to the restaurant, and it took me a minute to realize that I had to turn the corner to see it. I am so glad that I went there, and bought a combo dish to take home- fried fish, fried shrimp, and a salad.
I did wonder how it would fare walking back to the train and then on the ride home since it was all in one container. No problems at all. I did forget to ask if it was possible not too put tomatoes in the salad since i'm allergic but I simply picked them. The salad was so so fresh I was really amazed. And the fried shrimp and fish, were delicious. I had half of everything for dinner and will finish it off tomorrow. It really hit the spot. And just what I was craving. For anyone in the area, I would definitely recommend to stop by and pick something up. Besides the great price, the gentleman who made the order was very nice. I think this will now be my go to spot when I go down to the seaport area.“

“I found this gem of a restaurant 5 years ago. This is the ONLY place I go to for brown stew snapper. Mikey is a PHENOMENAL chef!!! If you don't live this side of Brooklyn, it's worth it to take a drive to get some of the absolute BEST food you will ever have ??. Blessings “
“📍 This photo shows the exterior signage and entrance to Andrew Lee's Fish Market. A neighborhood gem located at 1228 Fulton St. in Brooklyn. The market is a local favorite for its quick service, high-quality ingredients, and reasonable prices, making it a reliable destination for classic seafood meals in the area. ★★★★★“

“My favorite fish spot in Harlem. I normally pick up the all fish basket to enjoy with a fresh salad.
This time I had it delivered and have you ever craved fish so bad you forget the photo? Yeah… that’s me. The bag’s empty, but that’s the proof. The fish was fresh, seasoned right, and gone in minutes. St. Nick & 145th — this spot is Harlem soul in a fryer. Respect to the crew keeping it classic.“

“I stopped by this bar recently and was honestly impressed. The cocktails are legit — I had a Moscow Mule and it was perfectly balanced. The burgers are a must-try: juicy, flavorful, and cooked right. I also tried the lobster ravioli and the quesadilla — both were surprisingly good and worth ordering.
The atmosphere inside is beautiful and well-decorated. It feels cozy but stylish, and the space is kept clean, which I really appreciate.
Special shoutout to the bartender, Misha. He immediately understood the kind of drinks we liked and nailed the flavors without us over-explaining. Super friendly, professional, and attentive — he definitely made the experience even better.
Overall, great food, great cocktails, and great service. Definitely recommend stopping by — especially for the burgers and Moscow Mule.“

“I'm not sure if it's a store tradition, but I should have known that you were going to serve me cold mac and cheese. Overall, the fried whiting dinner was excellent, and the fried shrimp dinner was passable but a little overcooked. Nevertheless, I gave you guys four stars without a doubt.“

“I buy broiled salmon regularly at the Fish House because cooking it at home means lingering odors in my apartment. The salmon is always fresh and cooked perfectly. The one-pound portion is enough for my family of three people to share, plus it comes with rice and salad. We also love their seasoned fries, which are called JoJo's. The fish is cooked to order, so I recommend calling ahead so that your order is ready for you. If not it takes about 15 minutes to prepare. They have waiting areas both outside and inside with tables and chairs.“

“You have to go up to the counter to order, then find a seat. They’ll bring the food to you once it is ready. There is no menu or pricing shown. But super affordable and tasty! We got a fried flounder which was huge, a seafood ceviche, and a side of fries for only $20. The flounder tasted so fresh, not too much batter but still super crunchy and crispy. Would definitely return again to try other stuff.“
