We started with the crispy fish tacos—super light, crunchy, and packed with flavor. The lemongrass chicken banh mi tacos were my personal favorite: juicy, perfectly seasoned, and with just enough heat to keep things interesting. You can tell they’re not afraid to play around with flavor while still keeping the balance right.

What makes it special is how authentic and consistently good everything is. The falafel is always incredibly fresh — crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside, and perfectly seasoned without feeling greasy or heavy. The hummus, baba ganoush, sauces, fresh vegetables, and warm pita all come together in a way that feels simple but genuinely unforgettable. You can taste the quality and care in every bite.

There’s also something about the experience itself that feels so New York. Standing on the street in Lower Manhattan, grabbing food from a small stand while the city moves around you nonstop somehow becomes part of the memory. The staff is very friendly and hard working people, for as busy as they get their customer service is consistently great. I want to mention how hard it is to find authentic AL PASTOR TACOS that are supposed to be made like how they make it here. The tortilla is always fresh, the meat is seasoned perfectly and you can tell by the color on the meat and the salsa verde is also perfect if you are into spicy fresh homemade salsa just the right texture not watery like others that I’ve had around the area.“

“I visited Yummy Tummy bakery for the first time today, with five other friends of mine to support a Black-owned business during Black History Month. The owner Melissa and Kaylan made the entire experience a delight. The two of them made sure we got all of our treats in a timely manner and treated us with such care. The sweets themselves were absolutely delicious. The fruity pebble cupcake particularly was the perfect amount of sweet, moist, and airy. If you’re in the neighborhood, I’d definitely recommend you stop by!“

“A friend recommended me this place on my trip to NYC and I had to stop by. Not only were the staff so kind, but the food was delicious. I bought two tacos, walked to a bench and ate them, and immediately went back for two more tacos. My only regret is not getting more consome 😫. I love that they give you pickled onions and hot sauce on the side for you to add yourself.

It may look like a “limited” menu to some people but when you perfect a taco this good, you don’t need a million options! Get the birria with consome on the side!

“I have been going to Tommy's food truck for the past 15 years, and I have to say that I have never had a meal that wasn't short of great!!
