“Finally, I hit this spot after getting a recommendation for years. Even though I'm not a fan of their hot chocolate, I'm satisfied with their pastries. Especially, the brownies are phenomenal and becoming my reason to revisit. Unfortunately, I didn't have any pictures of the brownies cuz I couldn't wait to have them right away lol... They are sold in 2 different packs (4 full ones and 6 half ones)“

“This place is such a hidden gem!! I came by here to work with a laptop. I love the atmosphere and healthy options to choose from. The wifi was fast so I felt productive working here. I got Clarity juice, which contains lime, celery, cucumber and spinich. It tasted really fresh and refreshing! I can tell they use fresh ingredients for sure. The barista lady in the morning was very kind and courteous as well. I highly recommend this place! :)“

“I live in the area and attend college out of town so getting to the library on my off days is tough. I've been looking for a place with a chill ambiance, wifi, good tea, and coffee. Well, look no more for me. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Great rustic look, comfy seating with back support, loads of outlets for laptops, and the second-floor space are super cute and cozy too. Oh and there's a small little outside area that's pretty cool as well. Shaquille (hope I spelled it right) was AMAZING! So down-to-earth, friendly, polite, and easy to talk to. She made me the Tumeric latte for me and I all but licked the cup clean. I had the hummus & cucumber on sourdough toast and it was divine. Also, a great option for vegans. I totally recommend this place if you have similar needs or just want to hang out with some friends. I will surely be going back.“

“Great coffee, We stopped at Roast’d coffee shop before heading to NYC, great experience; the pour over coffee was fantastic. Johan was quite friendly explaining different coffee beans as he roasted them and brews the coffee. I tried the espresso as well brewed from 3 different beans, very tasty. Now this is our favorite place to have coffee when traveling to NYC. We talked with local customers, so good vibes and recommendations. Awesome place if you love good coffee.“

“We pulled off the highway for a coffee and stumbled upon this gem. The pastry menu is filled with unique items and great flavor combinations. I had the ube pan de sal and the Kashmir cardamom latte with oat milk. I absolutely love both! The location seemed surprising at first, it’s located in a larger office complex, but inside it feels comfortable with warm lighting and plenty of seating. They also sell records and prepared wraps and desserts. Check it out if you’re in the area! I will be sure to stop by next time I’m passing through.“

“For a few years, this has been my go to spot when I'm in the Ironbound. Cool vibe and ambiance. Hit or miss on portion sizes. A very notable change over the years. The bacon side is way too small (two skinny slices). The avocado toast has significantly decreased in size but at the same price point, and it's often more cream cheese than avocado most times. Yet, and somewhat reminds me of being back in Brooklyn. Good coffee.“

“I really love Ara! Their latte is so good! Plus, they really give that local business vibe, from an always warm welcome to a wall filled with photos of appreciation. Always wonderfully decorated for the season, Ara is a great place for great coffee and a cozy atmosphere.“

“We stopped by this café for a Saturday morning breakfast. The exterior was charming, which drew us in. Parking is street-only, so it can be tricky on busier days, but we lucked out.

I ordered a cortado—decent, nothing remarkable. I went with the avocado toast, which they’re apparently known for. It was as minimalist as it gets: a slice of ciabatta, olive oil, a generous amount of fresh avocado, salt, and pepper. No frills, but solid and satisfying. My friend had a multigrain croissant with sausage and egg—basic and hearty.

The café is mostly self-service, and while the vibe was relaxed, the service was quite slow. We even cleared our own table from the previous guests. It seemed a bit understaffed, but the food was fresh and filling. A cute local spot, though don’t expect speed or polish.“

The owner made my drink a month or so ago & gave me the wrong bubbles I asked for regular and she ended up giving me brown sugar and said can I come back the next day she will give me a free one lol long story short she wasn’t there the next day because I bring my daughter to this location and she was too lazy to fix my drink the day she messed it up. I get she was overwhelmed by working alone and having a lot of people ordering but she has to do better as an OWNER! I have a business myself and it’s a lot of things I do not do because you have to be professional.“
