“I love having a Dominican bakery so close. Everything we’ve had there has been FABULOUS!!! Honestly, some of the best coconut macaroons I have ever had and that includes ones I’ve had in DR. I had a coconut tree leches cake, and a strawberry short cake cup, which were both out of this world. The cold brew is so good, and the pumpkin sauce is on point. They’re also super friendly. Next time I need to try the pastelitos (empanadas).“

“This restaurant is an amazing find! The menu is varied and much of it is reasonably healthy food. The service is attentive enough without being overbearing. There are some outdoor tables for when the weather is nice.

We tried the turkey avocado sandwich and the eggs Benedict. Both of them were amazingly good. The brewed coffee and the cold brew were also excellent.“

“All around wonderful first experience at Safwa. Genuinely one of the best coffees I’ve ever had, and I’m not even a coffee drinker! I also ordered a panini sandwich which was delightful. Their specialty sauce is a creamy spicy mustard, which paired well with their thick-cut turkey. A great place to socialize and study, and while busy, service was still great! “Their smoothies are always spot on and refreshing. I also like their toast and my go to is always the smoked salmon toast. However, I noticed their bread has gotten smaller and thicker. And it was incredibly hard to cut through with all the toppings. They used to use the longer bread so it was easier to manage. Other than that, it’s a nice spot for a quick healthy lunch.“

“Boxwood Cafe is a gem! The owner has created a high quality coffee shop and the employees are very friendly. I like to stop by for a latte and a baked good (scone, cookie, or blueberry bar) and sit outside at one of the side tables. Pre-Covid, they hosted open mic night and quiz night every month. Now Steve hosts a monthly Zoom Quiz Night and it is so much fun! A great locally owned cafe.“

“I went to this cafe for the first time with my friends and I found it very enjoyable. The poke bowls and tea are delicious although it can be a bit pricey. They have 3 ordering stations and private seating places which are perfect for studying but a bit dark lowkey. They also have free water which is a blessing. Parking is also easy to find🙏.“

“Our 4-star Marriott hotel didn’t include breakfast, so we decided to look for a good coffee and breakfast spot nearby. We stumbled across this beautiful place called Lokal Coffee & Co, and it ended up being one of the best breakfast experiences we’ve had!

The matcha and coffee were exceptionally good. The coffee was rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced, you can really tell they care about the quality of what they serve. The waffles were amazing, and the fruit was incredibly fresh.

But the absolute highlight was the egg and avocado sandwich. Honestly, it might be my favorite breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. Everything about it was delicious and perfectly put together.

If you’re in the area and looking for a great breakfast, brunch, or coffee spot, you NEED to try Lokal Coffee & Co. Definitely worth the stop!“

Talked with the owner Ying and barista Jesse for some time and they were both great ❤. The cafe itself has a very good esthetic with a cute teddy bear in the corner. My friends and family raved about the triple chocolate cake i picked up for my sisters birthday and my best friend and i enjoy a quiet breakfast and cafe on the weekends! “I was doing another errand around the area and needed coffee but didn’t want Dunkin.

This place looks like a rest stop restaurant. It’s connected to a pizzeria and bakery i think.

But I will say……. I had the BEST cold brew here. So flavorful and had sugar free syrups!

I got the cold brew with oatmilk and sugar free vanilla syrup and I finished the whole thing!

I typically only drink half my coffee due to acid reflux but man, the woman who made my drink. THANK YOU.

“Lifehack - although you need a membership to use the facilities inside the YMCA, anyone can come in and get their snack fix (workout optional).

Its a small cafe, but offers enough essentials. They sell pizzas, empandas, burgers, fries... as well healthy juice bar and variety drink options.

But their main feature is the acai bowls - acai, pitahaya or coconut base options. There's a handful of pre-built choices (loaded with fruits, granola, nutella or peanut butter) or create your own. Quick and efficient and beautifully prepared... our Berrytella and Dragon Kiwi bowls came out fresh and delicious.

Will definitely be back, and might even convince me to actually use the gym.“
