“For my wife she thinks this is the best tuna ever. She has traveled much of the world and this country and she still holds tastee’s tuna at number 1. I am a turkey guy or the buffalo chicken. Always outstanding perfect balance of toppings and condiments (sometimes could lay off the mayo haha).

I tried the 6 inch veggie sandwich. It came fully loaded with fresh veggies and special sauces. Each bite was filled with surprising flavours.

“If you want a great, "old school" alternative to Tastees, this is the spot! I don't think they've changed the menu board since the 80s, maybe earlier. Handmade with care and attention to detail, the sandwiches are delicious and fresh. There are very few healthy beverage options, but Bai water is one and a good selection of flavors available. Friendly service and vintage interior decor make this sandwich shop a great stop along Woodbridge Avenue. Pictured is the tuna with pickles on the side.“

“I recommend all sandwiches but my favorite one is the chicken Caesar ciabatta sandwich. A salad but sandwich style. It’s so good it’s a must get. Workers there are friendly. I come here often for the corn muffins there the best I’ve ever had.“

They definitely don’t skimp out like other delis and give you this roll with a tiny amount of eggs and meat. These are large sandwiches packed to the gills. And so tasty!! Love this deli. “Been there twice. 1st trip they where out of bottles soda...not that big a.deal. the 2nd trip they didn't have any bread ???
Now 3rd trip. Ordered on line. Arrived at specified time only to wait another 30 min for order.
Not sure what other locations do that this one doesn't...but this one on Rt 22 always seems to be a problem.

“I worked at J&M for years and this was the best nearby place for lunch when tips were good on a Saturday. I realized over the years that this is by far the best sloppy joe sandwich anywhere in north New Jersey. I now live in the greater Philadelphia area, and still bring a cooler with me when I travel to the Madison area to bring a few of these sandwiches back with me to enjoy. So happy to see they are still in business, glad that some good things never change!“

“This was my first time trying this location and it wasn't a bad experience. Although I did enjoy my good, there were a few small errors that won't allow me to go above 4 stars. I specifically asked for the sauce on the cheese fries to be on the side. However the cheese was on top and it was a bit messier than I would've liked. This wasn't a deal breaker since the fries were soggy and still had a good amount of cheese. However she they were unnecessarily messy.
Similarly with the sandwich. The flavor was there. The roll was soft. Lettuce was crisp, as was the tomato juicy.
Buuuut, the sandwich wasn't evenly sliced. Almost as if they started to cut it and then stopped. Which made a port fall out when I picked it up. So, although minor errors, they were big enough to affect how much I enjoyed the meal.
Will I return? I would say Yes!!“

“We had been to this place on our way to New York. A good subway place with enough room for customers to sit and dine. There are plenty parking as well. There was only one person to serve and the young lady was very friendly and provided a thankful service. Subway we ordered was very delicious and I would go there anytime. Since there was only one person working there, I experienced a bit of a delay. Again that happens in most Subway places away from cities. There is a clean restroom as well.“

“I don’t know the employees name, but occasionally I run in with a last minute craving on my way to work @8:30pm. I know it’s towards the end of the night, but she is still always so pleasant and my food always made perfect and quickly. Tonight’s turkey sandwich was no exception. Too many times people just complain or take good service for granted, and I’d love to see see them get the recognition deserved. Some of us do appreciate it, especially when we’re running to work. “We were alerted to a BOGO special where you can buy two subs and get one free. We ordered the roast ? with cheese ? sub included with spinach, tomato ?, cucumber ? and pickles. The other sub was a steak and chicken sandwich with provolone cheese ? and the third sub another steak and cheese. Each sub was made perfectly with seasonings. The taste was phenomenal and they delivered it within the hour as promised. Outstanding service and food quality.“
