“It was our honor and privilege to be a part of a dear friend's B'day Bash last Sunday at Kochi. Dining at Kochi was one of the, if not THE, most memorable experience ever. We were totally floored by the exquisite food - and service - provided by Chef and Owner Mr. Jebu Matthew and his team. From the cool berry drink and amazing classic South Indian appetizers, to the numerous - and for us, many new - items that kept appearing in front of us almost magically during the main meal, served in the traditional South Indian style (on banana leaves), right through the delectable halwa and delicious jaggery rice payasam (desserts), we could feel the love and careful attention with which each item was prepared and pride with which each item was served. Plus, being served by Mr. Matthew himself was, in and of itself, humbling. He patiently explained the intricacies of each delicacy which helped us understand the complexity of the cuisine's varied flavors. “Had a great experience at Dosa Grill! The dosa was excellent. Be aware that if you get cheesy dosa, it can be very cheesy. So just know what you’re getting into.

They even asked us if we wanted the potato filling on the side or in the dosa, which other spots don’t usually ask. My wife got it on the side, I had it the traditional way - inside. We also noted the Mysore Masala spread wasn’t as spicy as we’re used to. Otherwise the inside was clean and seating was comfy. Hope to join them for “Dosa Night” on Thursdays.“

The food is freshly homemade South Indian tiffins mostly along with some indo chinese and north indian curries. The quality is nice and tastes authentic. “We are lucky to have a Banquet hall like Rasoi in the town. It is perfect to have a small or big party. We recently had our Diwali get-together at Rasoi. The Food and service were top-class. The manager Prasad Kadam ensures all goes well and all guests are happy. The staff members are very warmth and welcoming. Once this place is renovated in the coming months, it will have a brand-new Banquet hall to host the parties. I hope Chefs will introduce and add new food dishes to the catering menu.“

The sambar and coconut chutneys (dipping sauces) were absolutely point on authentic chutneys just like from Southern India. It did remind us of our mom’s cooking.
