“Dinner was delicious! We had a lovely time at this restaurant.. our waiter Nash was very attentive and friendly. My husband ordered a drink he wasn't fond of it...ask to change it. Nash was more than accommodating..he brought him a couple of other options to try. Out meals were delicious as was our tuna appetizer. A great experience for our first dinner in Philly.“

“I order takeout from here occasionally, but it's been a while since I've dined there. So I went with some people for lunch one day since we were in the area after a networking event. It wasn't crowded, but felt full with a good number of people having lunch/brunch.The staff were all pretty friendly. We were seated right after walking in and the service was a good pace throughout the entire dining experience. We all ordered something different but seemed to enjoy what we got. One person ordered one of the sandwich specials, another ordered the Mel's Chicken Sandwich and I got the Sante Fe Turkey Burger with sweet potato fries. It was very tasty, filling and served at the right temperature. I also had their Blueberry Lemonade which was really good.As always, a reliable place for a good meal. I recommend coming for brunch or course, but lunch is a good option too.“

“Absolutely loved the Sundae. Potato chips and kettle corn must be in all of my sundaes going forward. The latkes were phenomenal - must order. The harissa broccoli was delish. The burrata and focaccia was a delightful favourite.The Caesar salad was overdressed and the croutons were too hard for my preference. The pepperoni pasta was exactly that - not the worst but it was something I'd make drunk in my kitchen at 3 am. Fries were meh.A solid 4 on the food front. Go just for the decor alone, feeling like I was in an 80s golf clubhouse. The pool table is cute and fun too.“

“First time at River Twice.Met up with some favorite friends from my American Water days. Interesting approach to a menu. There was a $75 fixed tasting menu and then a set of optional extras. I went with the soft shell crab special and everyone else did the burger (since we specifically came on burger Monday). This is a cozy small restaurant in the heart of Philly. We were seated at the counter and were able to watch the food prep. Pretty cool. Service was excellent. Food was outstanding.Plenty of food to satisfy your hunger in the tasting menu alone, but I am glad we added the extras. The starter was raw Maine scallops in a crème sauce.Unbelievably good! This was followed by the NJ sushi rice with smoked steelhead.Well made, filling, and slightlyunremarkable. The mackerel, steamed cabbage and sweet potato made up for it with a perfect bite of these three ingredients! My soft shell crab was very unusual, in a good way, with an interesting creamy sauce and pickled onions. The burger was outstanding!! Lots of nuanced flavors going on. Finally, the winter citrus creamsicle was fun, creative, light, and the perfect ending to a super cool dining experience. Highly recommend River Twice for the adventurous eater!“

“An exceptional dinning experience, but getting in is a bit tricky. The restaurant opens advanced online bookings in intervals of two week blocks, on the Sunday prior. There are two seatings each night, 6:30pm and 8:30pm. If you can’t get a reservation for the released block time, you can request to be added to the wait list. That’s exactly how I received my dinning spot. The experience is intimate, warm and friendly. It truly is like being invited to a friend’s house for dinner, except your friend won’t be serving you these yummy dishes. The food creations are amazing and the courses numerous. The chef announces each dish before it’s served, explaining the ingredients and inspiration. They also provide an extensive wine list and delicious craft cocktails. Highly recommend!“

“A combination of my favorite two vocab: “Brunch”+ “Buffet”. And the food is good! The girls at the reception were so sweet and helpful. Gave us a very good first impression of this place.The service could be improved. The first 10 minutes we sat down, no one stopped by for water or introduction. The server was okay when he was presented in the area. However he would occasionally disappear for quite long time. We waited pretty long for our check and had to have someone else give us the check. After the long waiting, we saw a sprite we didn’t order appeared on the bill. He was able to take it off, but with the waiting we were a little bit out of patience.In summary, definitely will come back and recommend this place. It’s perfect for casual lunch when you don’t know what you want.“

“This is the second year in a row that my DAR group held our Women's History themed tea at Elwood. Stellar service, I tried things I never normally would like the scrapple (not a fan of it generally), it was a little piece of heaven! All the food is small bites for tea service. The chicken salad on a mini croissant ?. The biscuits, clotted cream, strawberry jam made by the owner's mother! Absolutely scrumptious!!!“

“We made a 7 man reservation at 9pm for I and a friend’s birthday. We enjoyed a chefs tasting menu since it was so late and, from that, I can say that every dish here is made exceptionally well. Every morsel of food was an amazing experience and a blend of complex flavors. The pasta and protein was hearty and cooked to perfection, and the desserts were phenomenal. The fusion of savory and sweet is utilized masterfully at Chez Hansi, in a way I’ve never never experienced before. I ofttimes had to look at the kitchen in shock, since I couldn’t believe that the meal was coming from one (incredibly skilled) chef in a home sized kitchen. This place is an experience, and anyone looking to have exceptional food should be excited to eat at Chez Hansi. Maybe even honored.“

“This was the second time in 7 months we came to Jean George for a special occasion and were not disappointed. Both times we had the tasting menu and both times we were intrigued with the many delicious courses. We also included the wine pairing which brought to light many different wines, that we knew nothing about, if not for the sommelier's amazing choices. Each plate was beautifully presented, and every glass of wine was described. The meal was served over several hours but we never felt that the meal lagged. It was a luxurious experience that made us both have a feeling of being pampered. I would suggest Jean George to anyone who enjoys French cuisine. The food, service, and ambiance make this a destination restaurant for any type of celebration.“

“Cute spot for a drink and bite to eat. We loved the thin crust on the pizza, the cheese and fried onion on the soup, and the pasta. The drinks here are lovely too! We have had drinks at the bar and dinner at a table, and both were positive experiences. One thing to note is that the place can get fairly crowded and feel a little claustrophobic. However, if you are used to restaurants in NYC, you will feel right at home.“

They have Gluten-Sensitive, Vegetarian, Lactose/Dairy Sensitive and Vegan menu items!The Gluten-Free Chicken Pesto Flatbread and the G-F Pepperoni Flatbread are so freaking good! The Scallops with Mascarpone Risotto so Phenomenal and GLUTEN-FREE! The Cedar Plank Salmon is so delicate, delicious and GLUTEN-FREE! You definitely want to try the the Chilean Sea Bass! Wow! What a treat! The Korean BBQ Baby Carrots are nice and spicy. With NO Spiked Cider or Seltzer choices here, I recommend red wine, specifically San Giovese! “Redcrest Kitchen is the Cafe / Diner on 6th St. just a one block south of Philadelphia's famous South St.; In other words, it's right where all of the action is. On this rare rather warm Saturday (short sleeve shirt in Philadelphia in Mid-March-really?) we got a outdoor table for our brunch and basked in the sun. My wife shared a hotdog and Caesar salad with my sons girlfriend, my son also had a Caesar with an order of fries and I had their very good; 2 scrambled eggs A wedge of excellent hash browns Two breakfast sausages And some whole grain toast To say we were all "Happy Campers" with this first rate meal combined with accomplished service would be an understatement. Along with a not too expensive bill, made this trip to the Redcrest Kitchen an outstanding experience.“

“Went to dinner with a group of girlfriends and we had a very memorable meal trying numerous dishes while seated at a large table nestled by the open kitchen. The charcoal inspired food is a great concept and all the dishes were fantastic. Our group ordered a bunch of food but I particularly enjoyed Cesar salad, radiatori pasta with lamb, whole fish (table favorite), and basque style cheesecake. Also the music playlist was on point. “I found this cute brunch place and tried their famous French toast—it was amazing!The granola-covered French toast had a slightly crunchy exterior and a soft interior with strawberry cream.It was a big portion, and after finishing it, I felt like I wouldn't want anything sweet for days. “On Point was very on point with our brunch. It's a BYOB spot in heart of Point Breeze with some great flavors and vibes. The group sampled quite a few starters including wings and cheesesteak egg rolls. For the main meal I had to go with the Challah French Toast. Unique flavor especially with the cheese and nuts. The group really enjoyed all the food. Our server TJ was also awesome. Made some great suggestions. Catch me back at on point in the summer.“

“I'm a huge fan of Sweet Amalia's, so when we were in the city looking for somewhere to eat I knew I had to check this place out! I starred off with an amazing drink and of course OYSTERS! Both of which were fantastic and a great start. I had the octopus lyonnaise for my meal and then the buttermilk panna cotta for dessert. We sat at the kitchen bar, which was really cool to watch the organized chaos of all of the hard work that goes into each plate. And our server was phenomenal. 5 stars! And already can't wait to go back!“

“First time eating here with group of colleagues. Was enjoyable! We came during a day where it was a fixed menu literal table spread. We had the choice to eat with fingers or with utensils and we all opted to eat with our fingers. There's something enjoyable about being encouraged to eat our food with our hands. Obviously a messy meal but worth it. A garlic fried rice was laid on the table topped with vegetables and Proteins were chicken, pork and fish.Parking: 6pm Weeknight parking in South Philly. “We went around the happy hour time. 4-6 pm and you have to be seated at the bar for the happy hour prices. The service was good, attentive staff. The food was good to my surprise. The crispy cauliflower and mushroom pita pizza are a must-try. The Thai chili wings and Buffalo wings were deliciously sauced, along with my margarita. The Smash burger is a must-try too. “Just earlier today, I hosted a party for my husband’s 60th, and my daughter’s 25th at Gass & Main, and it couldn’t have been better! Chef Dane worked with me personally over the last two months to plan the brunch menu, which included Build-your-own Scrambled Egg Tacos, Pulled Pork Sliders, Fried Zucchini & Chicken Ziti, Gass & Main’s amazing Brussel Sprouts Chips, and “The Big Salad” … it was all delicious, served in buffet style, with an “up close & personal” view of Chef at work in the open kitchen!Our servers Jennifer and Kristen couldn’t be beat! They served our party of 40 guests inside, and outside the restaurant, on this perfect 75 degree, sunny day on Kings Court in Haddonfield. They were attentive, friendly, engaging, and even offered to go around personally to top off guests’ mimosas and espressos. Kristen even put on her Photographer hat and took pictures for us as well!I highly recommend hosting an event at Gass & Main like we did! The food was hot and delicious, made with love, full of savory flavors, and Chef was easy to work with in the planning, and was ready to accommodate in whatever way they could. “The Barnes Foundation Garden Restaurant is a gem! Beautiful setting and outstanding food and service. The Salade Nicoise was better than I had in Nice on a recent trip! Hats off to chef Michael O’Meara. The choice of greens and dressing superb. We came down from Northern Jersey, joined the museum , and will be back soon to the restaurant. Highly recommended. We went with the lemon ricotta pancakes (bright, tender) the Huevos Rancheros (smoky stick to your ribs flavor profile) and an egg Philly cheesesteak on fleshy pretzel roll. Everyone raved about their food, delivered quickly and with genuine friendliness. “This was a perfect brunch spot!! I was surprised as how spacious the area was, just how I like it!! The food was delicious! Today, I got the chicken and biscuits. You can tell the biscuits were homemade with an authentic recipe. The chicken was crispy and flavorful. I ate half and placed the rest for later! The service was also amazing. Our waitress was patient with us when we were deciding our orders and refilled our drinks as we needed them. Overall, this experience was great. As a couple, we could only try so much of their offerings.Last night was with a large group, which turned out to be fabulous because, thanks to our sharing of all their appetizers and entrees, I had the opportunity to sample much of their menu.I would be remiss if I didn't mention the bartenders' skill and passion in mixing up any cocktail you may wish to have.The wait staff was attentive, accommodating, and professional.The food; lamb tartare, red beet carpaccio, goose/foie gras terrine, duck breast, baked fluke, spinach/ricotta gnocchi, cheddar stuffed hush puppies, double cheeseburger, and the 26oz bone-in ribeye. Everything was amazing, even the 2 desserts and cheese plate, which I only tasted because....too much. We did, for the record, ask for seconds on the duck breast, as it was simply superb.Now, I must say that the wine list, for such a fantastic food line up, was very disappointing. What you see on the menu by the glass, is what is offered by the bottle. Slim pickings.All and all, great drinks and food. Will surely be back.Cheers!“

“First, let me start by saying that the service was five stars. Normally I can nitpick something about the staff whether timeliness or otherwise - but I must say all the staff was courteous, professional, timely, and accommodating. If I were to recommend any restaurant based on the service provided by staff - this would be one of the top-ranking restaurants. They were phenomenal without flaw in any way.Hearthside is a BYOB with a four-course menu - each course having options you can choose between. I can only give feedback on the dishes I have tried. Overall the food was above par for the most part with a few exceptions.For the first course, we had tuna sashimi, Sicilian pistachio butter, sun-dried tomato, and octopus, cilantro emulsion, jicama, jalapeno. The tuna was decently thick and even cut, and fresh, and the pleasant flavors from the tomato and pistachio did not overpower the fish itself. It was slightly more oily than anticipated - but because of the decent size of the tuna cut it was still a delightful dish. The octopus was one of my favorites - it was cooked perfectly, and the smoke from the wood fire was chargrilled into the skin. My only complaint was that the amount of salt was a bit overpowering. I found that it took away a bit from the masterpiece that the octopus was.For the second course we had the cavetelli cavatelli, fennel, lamb merguez, ricotta espuma which tasted remarkably rich and satisfying. I also tried the burrata flatbread which was a menu addition. While the ingredients were fresh, the burrata at the center lacked any addition of pesto or otherwise - so while the ends tasted delightful, the balance was lost in the center of the dish.For the third course we had the half chicken, smoked Calabrian chili hot sauce, dill - it was cooked perfectly but the sauce was a little underwhelming. The second main was the monkfish, sunchokes, mussels, citrus ginger broth. The monkfish again was cooked perfectly, but wasn't anything remarkable. The broth was thin, and while refreshing, there was no component to make it cling to the fish at all. I would have liked to see the monkfish with a thicker sauce more reminiscent of a lobster dish. For the last course we had both the opera cake and the budino. The opera cake was pleasant, layers were even, and the strawberry was delightful. The budino was excessively salty - I salted nutella pudding. As someone who loves salted caramel-like flavors, I was disappointed. This combination did not work and is the only dish I would not recommend.Overall the food was high quality and innovative. For had a few bites and was unable to finish it. It tasted like an overly the price there should be little room for imperfections. I was most pleased with the octopus and tuna first course selections, and most disappointed with the main course and the budino.It can be difficult to get everything right with a rotating menu - I will likely be back again to see if the menu changes the difference in the food.The staff and atmosphere were definitely one of my highest-rated aspects of this restaurant. Excellent service - and the chef cooked everything perfectly despite some small misses in flavor details.“

“We were very excited to try this spot and finally made it on a Saturday to celebrate our anniversary, which I noted when I made the reservation. Overall our experience was good, but not as good as we had hoped. The vibe and decor is absolutely gorgeous (although we do recommend that they dim the picture lights over the art, as it was very bright and reflective). We had the 4 course chef’s menu and every single dish was really beautiful - this was one of the standout elements, as all the plates looked like art themselves. The flavors were not bad but some of the dishes were on the bland side, while others were quite delicious. We started with the hamachi crudo and endive salad - both were okay. Then the crab bisque and charred octopus - the bisque was the winner. For mains we ordered the lamb loin and sea bass. The lamb dish came out first but we waited about 5 minutes for the bass to come, and it seemed as though the lamb was waiting in the kitchen for a while because it was mostly room temperature by the time I started to eat it. The flavors were good but mild. The seabass was delicious. Also really enjoyed the love cake for dessert. So, overall, a 4-course menu for $70 is a great price compared to the individually-priced dishes. While not every dish was amazing, the meal had some high notes and I really appreciated how beautiful they were. I was a little let down by parts of the meal and disappointed they didn’t acknowledge our anniversary, but overall I think this place was worth the visit and I will likely go back to try it again and explore some of the other dishes.“

“If you’re looking for a yummy brunch spot, you found it! You can’t go wrong with any dish you order. It literally all sounds and looks so delicious! I ordered the avocado toast (needed something light) and my husband got a daily special. Everything was so good! I would say go early but I’m not sure that would even help getting you seated faster but definitely plan on a little wait for a table. The bar is first come first serve - we were able to walk in a grab a seat quickly.“

“Got 2 Oreo vegan milkshakes for me and my daughter. We enjoyed them very much. We walked in and ordered take out at the take out counter where they made the shakes in font of us. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. We shall definitely return again.Vegetarian options: Vegan milkshakes for those lactose intolerant or vegan.“
