“A different venture from your regular Dykman experience. It is an intimate, sophisticated culinary experience inspired by owner Felix Abarca's birthplace Ecuador. Fusing rich flavors found in Ecuadorian cuisine with its food and beverage program they offer an experience in the shape of a glass or plate.Staff is always inviting and on point. Place is always immaculate and organized. Live music on the weekends by local artist or even the bartender "extrangero music" is always of great taste and not too loud.Pop-up and collaborations with chefs or bartenders happen regularly. The amazing wine list is unique and curated by a great connoisseur and wine enthusiast, the owner Felix. The coziness of this place is what makes it even more special.“

“One of my favorite places in NYC.Food, Service and Ambience are always amazing here.Live music from local artist Thursday to Sunday. The secret to the success of this establishment is the staff. They are hard working, attentive, and always make you feel welcomed, like family. Bartenders usually know what you are drinking when you come back the 3rd time and are always quick to serve, even when there is no space at the bar. In the kitchen is the matriarch, Mama Henry, the Owners mother. She makes every sauces, flan, beans, and many more items from scratch.Happy Hours are from open to 7:00PM on weekdays, their sangria, margaritas are strong and on point and come in many fresh fruit flavors. Some must haves on the tapas are the empanadas, mofonguitos, pulpo, tostones and chorizo, bacon wrapped dates, canastitas de bacalao, for mains the churrasco, paella and salmon are amazing.I used to bartend here for 6 years and I never once was tired of the food, this place is like family to me.Truly a neighborhood gem.“

“After a day of thrifting, I looked up best restaurants near my location, and stumbled upon this incredible restaurant. It’s no frills, but truly incredible food and service. The staff were so kind and ensured we had everything we needed. My table ordered theceviche, lomo saltado, and some sausage and potato appetizers.Great price point, and a little gem in Paterson. Support this women owned business !! Can’t wait to head back“

“Finally…authentic, delicious Dominican food that I don’t have to go into NYC to order. My gathering was such a hit , catering was the best! The pictures won’t do this place justice. It’s the taste of a hole in the wall I missed so much. From their chicharron (fried pork rinds), to classic mangu (mashed plantains) with cheese, eggs + sausage. I’m drooling just looking through my food pictures from them. This review is long overdue. Trey it for yourself you won’t regret it!! Did I mention how friendly they all are? The service was great too!“

“They are really excellent, the food is very good, the service is very excellent, a very good place to go to eat, it is quiet and it is very cheap. The only problem is that they do not prepare any type of cocktail, no alcohol, perhaps that is why not many people go, but apart from that That's why the service is first class....“

“I came here on a random late Saturday night with a friend looking for a spot to get a drink and maybe have some luck in finding a place still open to serve some appetizers. It was to our surprise that the kitchen was fully open after 10pm! My friend ordered the Salmon and I got the Ceasar salad which was very delicious, however, I regretted not ordering the mofongo. People that ordered around me had me craving it! The DJ was really good too; played old school music and currents ones. All the servers provided great customer service. What I liked the most was the crowd- it was almost empty and everyone was just living their best life dancing on their chairs and playing games. If you’re young and single looking for a place to meet people; I doubt this is the place. Everyone was in their late 30s and older hanging out after the brunch crowd went on their merry way. I will be going back again with more friends to enjoy good food, good drinks, and good company.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor and plenty of space“

“This is definitely worth it if you want to get your moneys worth for a brunch the food was not that bad very limited options, but the Caesar wrap that I got was pretty good with the fries. There is only one bathroom, so make sure that when you feel like you gotta pee already start a line. They constantly come around refilling your glasses, which is great. They have many options of sangrias and mimosas available. They were pretty tasty. The hookah was pretty affordable. I think it was $25 for a refill and $40 to get one. Make sure you get one before 4 o’clock because they kick you out by five and you can’t finish it but the hook was pretty smooth. Will be coming here again the music was great definitely a lot on repeat but it was great !! :)“

“As always, I’ll rate each category individually because people have different priorities.Atmosphere- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The decor is beautiful, nice and modern style. Music is played a bit loud for my personal liking but this is considered a positive to some.Food- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Everything I and my party ate was full of flavor, no complaints. I had the jumbo shrimp al ajillo, I also tried fried calamari, bacalao spread, and dulce de leche from members of my party. In regards to drinks, my ONLY criticism is that the bar does not have soda on tap, it’s canned. This may seem like no big deal to some but it’s a personal pet peeve of mine. I did not have any alcoholic drinks, however the members of my party were pleased with theirs.Service- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The staff is very attentive, professional, and quick on their feet.Speed- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ No complaints, the time it took for our food to arrive was satisfactory in the context of it being a larger party and on a busy Saturday night.Price- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Some of the entrees are a bit overpriced in the context of their portion size. For example, the $32 jumbo shrimp al ajillo being 5 shrimps with the tostones making up more than half of the dish seemed excessive. This was also the case of the burger (which was rather small, the fries making up the majority of the meal) as well as the ropa vieja.Overall a nice place for a date or family outing.“

“I really enjoyed the flavor of the chicken both the fried and grilled . Mostly the grilled. It was the best grilled chicken I have ever had. Although the cashiers don’t speak Spanglish a supervisor came out and helped answer any questions I had then he actually bagged my order. I noticed this is a very busy restaurant which means the food is moving so it’s fresh. I will return when in the area. I place it above KFC Popeyes Crown Texas and Kennedy’s“

“Very glad we gave this place a try. My husband's family is from Ecuador so we know the food and this place is doing it well. Everything we ordered was perfectly cooked and flavored. Very authentic. The ladies serving were great and very attentive. I will definitely be back when I want authentic Ecuadorian food and don't want to cook it myself. Only tip they don't serve alcohol (don't know why...a nice beer with this food would be amazing) and bring cash they do not take credit cards.“

“I built a core memory today, the day I found the best Peruvian Food in New Jersey. WOW! My expectations have been met and exceeded. The Chaufa was so good and such a large portion they clearly price the food knowing they are going to sell out. The ceviche mixto was amazing perfect lime and spicy level… I’ve always had to add lime or salt from other ceviches but not this one.The filete de pescado was perfectly cooked. Overall I’m excited to try the other dishes they offer I know I will not be disappointed.“

“Overall young chef and team they do a great job with service and establishment is really nice and clean. “I decided to order off of the catering menu, after I sampled the Mac and cheese and lasagna at a friend's event. I already knew it was delicious based on the slither I had tasted, but my family and friends got to experience that same joy I tasted, at my daughters first birthday. So thankful for the quick communication, professionalism, and the delicious food of course. I'm looking forward to ordering again. Only blessed hands can make something so delicious ?. Thanks again!“

“I didn't even know this place existed until a friend suggesting going here for dinner and I'm so glad. This place is a hidden gem.***In a rush? Skip to the end for my tips.*** When we arrived, they were getting ready for a private event later that evening, but they still let us stay and eat. The owner patiently waited (and had to come back several times) because it took us a bit of time to make up our mind. Everything sounded so good, so it was hard to choose just a few dishes. We were very happy with our choices. Everything was delicious!- Shrimp burger - I already knew that the texture would be like a patty consistency of minced shrimp, but my friends were surprised because they were expecting whole shrimp pieces in the burger. I was a fan of the dill sauce on it, but if you don't like dill, maybe ask for it on the side? The dill taste and smell is strong, which goes perfectly with the shrimp burger.- Empanada Sampler - I wish I remembered what flavors were included in this, but everything was super good.- Mofongo Supreme - The mofongo was delicious and it came with pieces of cheese, shrimp, and steak. Definitely need to go back to try the lobster mac and cheese that everyone seems to be raving about and try their other dishes, as well, which all sound delicious.Tips: - There is plenty of street parking nearby and even a municipal parking lot to the left of the restaurant (if you are facing the restaurant).- It seems like a lot of people do take-out so that is an option, too.- We went on a Saturday night and left around 8:30 and they were supposed to be opened until 11:00, but they closed early for a private event, so maybe you should call ahead to make sure that they are open for guests or pick-up. Someone stopped by and was disappointed that they were closed early.“

“Honestly, given the prices on the menu and how cheap things were (considering inflation and everything else), I wasn't expecting much. Boy, was I wrong!! The chicken was hot, the rice was fluffy, And the beans were soft, just like they should be. The salsa verde was a little bland and tasted like water blended with just hot peppers if you ask me. It's a heavy dish and I'm used to having some kind of pickled side vegetables as a Korean (like cultido?) but I realize this isn't always the standard for some cuisines. Anyway, all of what I ate for $9 was too good. I'll be coming back as long as the establishment continues to fight the status quo of this ever spiraling country.“

“This is one of the eateries I visit when in town. Although I don’t live in Paterson anymore Paterson hands down has some of the best food. The food here is always worth it, I always have leftovers.Pros: Reasonable pricing, large portion sizes and the food is consistently delicious.Cons: Parking is crappy, it’s meter parking and all the parking spots are always taken.Parking: Don’t double park it’s dangerous because cars like to fly down the street and officers are out to give tickets.“

“First time here. The Chicken Salad was very good. The dressing was filling but not overwhelming. The chicken tasted grilled and fresh. The bowl they give you is perfect to shake the dressing to mix with the salad. Also had Oxtail with beans and rice. It was very good. All was reasonable priced. Overall, I am happy with the food and the location is perfect for anyone getting out of work and walking around the bus terminal.“
“Great stop after seeing the Met Cloisters! We were looking for some good, local food on our NYC trip and this place did not disappoint. I enjoyed the Mix Mofongo and loved the flavor of the fried plantains with the Chicken, Pork, and Cheese toppings. The restaurant itself is very casual, with TVs showing broadcasts in Spanish, but the food was professionally presented and delicious.“
“A little piece of “tiquicia” away from Costa Rica. The GalloPinto, the Mondongo soup and the arroz con leche are definitely made by a costarricense cocinera that really knows about costarican sazón. “Aside from the place looking rundown the food was amazing my bf and his mom order a chicken and beef empanada and it was fresh and said was good I however ordered there empanada Supreme which they make on the spot and I did my vegan style no meat and was one of the best empanadas I ever had. You do have a choice to have it with chosen beef or beans as well but if you go here you should deff try the empanada Supreme. I would definitely come back here if I'm ever in the area again.Vegetarian options: The empanada Supreme without any of the protein option or you can get the bean options I did not. Due to other dietary restrictions on my end.Dietary restrictions: Can adjust to your liking if your vegitarian“

“The food here is excellent! Good portions and it taste just like grandma's. It's not a restaurant. They do have some tables where you can sit down to eat but don't expect restaurant service, the place is small .The staff which is usually 2 people, I think they are family own, do their best to answer phones, work the cash register and serve the people. It's best to order take out. I order usually every weekend and I'm never disappointed. I recommend the corvina frita with rice and lentils or the bandera plate.“

“Found this place via Yelp and decided to give it a try. We ordered stewed chicken, pernil and a side of chicharron. The stewed chicken was delicious. I highly recommend you give it a try. The chicken is moist and has a ton of flavor. The pernil was moderate. I personally found it a bit tough but the chicharron was out of this world. They re-fry it for you in the spot and you pay per weight. It was super fatty and crispy! Thank you Yelp fam for putting this on my radar. I'm definitely going back to try their rotisserie chicken and their chicken soup.“

“Yummy yummy.Great for when you forget to take the meal your wife cook for you to work. They have pineapples watermelons and other fruits on the go perfect for when you're just done with the gym. They also do catering which is on point plenty to choose from and they'll make whatever you want.I definitely recommend this place it's great for people like me that don't have time to make a meal so instead of eating boring McDonald's and all that other garbage around that area stop by check them out and if you like home cook meals then this is the spot. You're in and out within 10 minutes tops. You tried the rest now try the best. Always love to support small businesses especially that put time and energy into their meals and don't do small portions like most places you will get a lot of meat for your buck. I'd like to let you people know that I honestly enjoyed the food you guys cooked and always recommend them to my friends I am usually in Lodi so I take a drive down to Hackensack just so I can get the delicious meals that they prepare. All right enough of me rambling just wanted to let you guys know that this is Justin certified“
