“One of the best halal take outs I’ve had.
I drive all around New Jersey, Delaware and PA for work and I’ve tried many restaurants. This place has some of the best chicken and lamb platters.

I got both lamb and chicken. The chicken is their best it has cinnamon, nutmeg, saffron. I will probably go a little lighter on the white sauce next time, coming from someone who really enjoys white sauce. But the seasoning from the chicken really balances their white sauce and hot sauce.
The hot sauce isn’t too spicy at all it’s just right and adds to the flavors of the platter.

The vegetables were VERY FRESH. Nice crunch from green bell peppers. No wilting in the lettuce. Tasted like the veggies were picked that morning.

10/10 if you want a recommendation I would say try the chicken platter as most of the reviews recommended.

“This was my first experience with Yemeni food. I ordered the saltah which came with one piece of the bread. I loved the flavor and having the bread was perfect!

I thought the portion size for the price was good. As other reviewers mentioned, you do need to pay for water.“

“This is my favorite food in the neighborhood! You can’t beat the price for the platters, which end up being two meals for me. My husband and I often buy two dishes and share so we can have falafel AND chicken, plus leftovers. I know the guy working there is watching the neighborhood too, because he asks about my whereabouts and pays attention to what’s going on. That’s nice to have on that corner. “I've been eating from the trucks in this area for 5 years now and Nafi Food Express has become my favorite truck in the area. First, the owners of the truck are particularly friendly and generous to people in this area. Next, I absolutely love their chili chicken over rice. It is extremely flavorful and quite spicy. It's a refreshing and lighter alternative to the heavier foods served by trucks around this area. I can't recommend this dish enough. I also enjoy the $1 naan. I consider it a pleasure to recommend this food truck to people in the area.“

“I tried their lamb over rice and fried chicken with fries they all tasted fantastic. The fried chicken had so much flavor with the skin really crispy and flavorful. Lamb over rice was very good too. Prices were very reasonable with a lot of food. Customer service is well and people were very friendly. If in Philadelphia, this is a must try.“

“Where can you find a good quality tasty and satisfying lunch that's for less than $10 in town? Penn Halal food truck on 40th and Locust that's where! I didn't even have to ask for hot sauce because it's offered on most platters along with white sauce. (Definitely choose both. )There's plenty of seating on nearby benches and the campus grass too. If the weather is nice it's all the atmosphere you need!“

“My first visit. Gyro gets a 5/5 star. Fried chicken gets 4.5/5. All my food was freshly prepared. Gyro was ready in 10 mins and chicken took 20 mins. Gentleman behind the counter was a sweet older fella. I’m eager to return. Come check them out. On my second visit, I had to get another Lamb Gyro Roll (delicious & a 5/5). I also tried a Seekh Kebab Roll and it was great at a 4.5/5. Cheese fries were a solid 4/5.“

“In my life and times that I've lived, I've found hospital halal carts to be of a higher quality. And this one is of no exception. I live in the neighborhood and was elated to see how close I was to a halal cart. What I was initially worried about was that it would be a sub-par one and it would only be frequented out of desperation for its close proximity. But my fears were for nothing because this cart is a cut above the rest! Quality abounds from always having succulent chicken to making the falafel fresh when you order it. Portions are generous making it a great value as well. Of course, a free drink per industry standard. You can tell that this cart serves the community well; many of them being in the noble profession of healthcare. I couldn't recommend this halal cart more to those who pass it!“

“I have recently become a frequent customer of Al Baraka and Falafel king next door. The market has quality meat selection for great prices and I prefer it to other grocery stores. The owners are some of the kindest people I have ever met. Abu Tata is always generous in helping me pick products! Abu Said has gone out of his way to make me a special order of knafeh (kunafa) which has become my new favorite dessert in the world! I have since tried it from other shops and restaurants but no where makes it as good as Al Baraka! I recommend everyone stop in and shop around and try something different! And definitely try the knafeh because it is out of this world!“

“Went to Khusbu today and got the Kala Bhuna along with Beef Tehari. The food me reminded of my mom's cooking back home in Bangladesh. It's pretty rare that you get to see Bengali food sold anywhere. I decided to come where with my friend the moment I saw the items. The owner was really good and personable he gave us Malai Tea on the house for us. I recommend you to come here for a taste of Bengali food along with Indian food if that's what you prefer.“

“I ordered a cheese steak and it was my first time eating here so I was a little skeptical however I had the cheese steak and it was by far the best!! I’m from Philly so I’ve had plenty of steaks but this one was top notch!! I will continue ordering from here, the roll was soft, the meat was so tasty and cooked to perfection! I literally ate the entire thing in one sitting which I never do! Can’t wait to go back and try other things on the menu. Also customer service was great!“

“I got the lamb over rice with salad (came with a drink too). The food was good enough. Definitely not someplace I’d go out of my way to come back to, but also not a place I’d avoid.

Gentleman who took my order did not have a good grasp on English, so he didn’t quite understand my request for modifications. But he had the food ready insanely quick (like less than two minutes). And he was patient with my hearing impairment and seemed overall sweet.

“Tried them out today because I saw JL Jupitor review them on youtube! We got the Szechuan beef lunch special, the shrimp with garlic sauce lunch special, and one egg roll. Everything was made fresh and it was soooo good. I LOVED their egg roll especially but forgot to take a picture. We came when they opened at 12pm and they were already busy. They made our order faster than I expected which was great. I also love that they include a soda can with the lunch special. It's a great value for the price!! We will definitely be back to try more off of the menu.“

“This place is SO good! I’m so happy I finally tried it. Usually, I have to drive all the way up to North Jersey to get really good Turkish food, but this spot is just as good — maybe even better.

The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and you can really feel that it’s a family-owned restaurant. The girl at the register was especially sweet. The chicken was delicious, the hummus was amazing, and the shepherd salad was one of the best I’ve had.

It’s about a 30-minute drive from Marlton for me, but it is 100% worth it. I’m so excited to finally have a great Turkish restaurant nearby to bring my family to — and trust me, they are not easy to please!“
