“Great vibe. Absolutely LOVE the jazz trio. Food tasted great. Portions are quite small for the price, and the steak was very especially grizzly, unfortunately. Very attentive and well trained staff. Lots of push upselling drinks on the drinks, and they brought bottle water we had to pay for despite asking for tap 3 times. Wonderful wine and cocktails menu. Overall I would recommend for special occasions.“

“I had the pleasure of dining at Leblon Steakhouse on Saturday February 10th. I had the greatest waiter anyone could ever have, Noah was his name. He explained "rodizio" to me and so I chose it for dinner. It was an awesome experience. Different meats kept being brought to my table and I ate/sampled each one except for the sausage (I'm NOT a sausage guy). Each one was more delicious than the last. I can not recommend this restaurant more. I know it's corny to write but .."Try it! You won't be disappointed".“

“Tried this place with my family for my sister's birthday. Everything was delicious. For appetizers we tried the calamari, the mussels fra diablo, the clams and the sweet potato fries. Three different steaks were ordered along with the chicken Parmesan, and a lamb that was the daily special. Nothing disappointed. “Last night, my family and I visited the Roots Steakhouse, Ridgewood location to celebrate a special birthday occasion. We were greeted with impeccable service from our server, who catered to our needs flawlessly. The cuisine, as always, was simply delightful. While enjoying our meal, a small mishap occurred where a drink was accidentally spilled onto the floor, splashing onto my sports coat. The server promptly expressed sincere apologies and notified their supervisor. To our surprise, Larry, the general manager, personally approached our table to offer his sincere apologies and assistance. Despite my reassurances that accidents happen, Larry insisted on arranging for the dry cleaning of my coat and even offered to deliver it to my home. Although I declined his kind offer, Larry ensured that I could submit the dry cleaning bill for reimbursement. As we concluded our meal, we were pleasantly surprised when Larry sent over an assortment of complimentary desserts from the menu. His professionalism and genuine care during this incident were truly commendable. This review is not intended to critique the staff but to express heartfelt gratitude to Larry and his team for their exceptional handling of an unfortunate situation.“
“Great filet mignon - waiter said it comes with string bean but nothing on the side just steak with truffle sauce. Was a hearty portion and cooked perfectly. Not cheap expect to pay 70+ just for steak but quality was perfect. Wines weren’t that expensive. I’d go back to try their prime rib. In comparison Ruth Chris charges a little less for steak but upsells the wines.“

“I decided to go for a solo lunch date today and I’m glad I did. My waitress Jackie was through and very helpful in her recommendations. She got my drink order and bread to my table quickly. My food came out quickly after that and I really enjoyed it. The Brussels and Sweet Potatoe were my favorites. I tried the Parmesan crusted chicken —I didnt care for it but that was more because of my picky preference. The Caesar salad was fresh and flavorful as well as a starter. “Great place to grab a bite on a Friday night...relaxed and tropical ambience, clean, and plenty of seating. The tropical fruits in the fish dishes were phenomenal...added a nice element to the saltiness of the fish. Only drawback are the portion sizes on the fish. Fairly small for what you're paying...it wasn't terrible but I would have liked a little bigger piece and some more rice. However it wasn't over cooked, very fresh, and lots of flavor. Definitely a place you may want to frequent.“
“Everything was amazing from start to finish! We got a few different appetizers and each one was better than the next. The oysters (mix of east and west coast) were some of the best I’ve ever had. For the main course, I went with the ribeye while my wife got a NY Strip - both cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. Ended off with a mix of desserts and honestly can’t pick my favorite! Service was exceptional and everyone was super friendly and courteous! The owner, Frank, stopped by our table numerous times to make sure everything was okay!! Five stars all around!!“

For many years, the Manager was Steve and he was excellent and making one's family or other guests at home. He was a truly spectacular Manager. Sadly he has left and there is a new Manager named Jan. But the restaurant remains excellent, the food spectacular and the employees dedicated. I am always surprised when I read another diner write a review that starts with "Horrible". It is hard to believe we are in the same restaurant. I can say with certainty that Rare the Steak House deserves the adjective spectacular. “My friend and I went here yesterday for some wings. Did not disappoint! They had a deal buy 1 get 1 for the wings. We got Tangy Honey Mustard, Sweet Chili, Garlic Parm & Bada Bing (mild hot sauce mixed w/ bbq). Absolutely delicious. They make their sauces home made and you can tell!
