“This Pelicans has consistently been one of my favorite restaurants in Albuquerque over many many years. But the last time I was there (in April 2024) the service was unfortunately terrible. And that was after making a reservation. The event was my son's birthday. We arrived and they didn't have the reservation, so we waited and waited and waited... while they seated two other parties who arrived after us without reservations. (And we were only had a group of three...) we waited at least 25 or 30 minutes. Then when we got seated, they didn't bring the salad until the food was already on the table. They didn't offer a complementary dessert for the birthday bar boy, and especially considering all the mis-steps. There was no effort made to make up for the service drops... It was a terrible disappointment. Especially from a place that I've learned to expect more from.“

“The food was great! We had a large group and it was a busy night. Our server was amazing to keep it all straight.
We had everything from ribeye steaks, shrimp, salmon and fish and chips. It was all perfectly cooked and delicious! There were no complaints about the food or service from anyone at the table. This is a fantastic place to eat and I would definitely eat there again!“

“Our dinner was fantastic! Our waiter - Joan (? sp) was excellent. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the entrees as well as the wines. Checking in to the restaurant was fine, but getting seated took quite a while as no one was at the front desk to help the one person there. More personnel need to be available to seat guests.“

“Absolutely love this place! The service is ALWAYS amazing and friendly. Our family have become weekly regulars & not only for the food but for the employees as well. We consider everyone here family. My husband's choices are juevos rancheros or the enchiladas & mine are the Indian taco or the steak fingers. Our kids absolutely love their French toast, idk what it is about them but it is the best we've ever had. The tacos are always a good go to item, as well as the carne or bowl of pasole. This food is true New Mexican!“

“Our server, Benjamin was new to his position but went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The bartenders were so great, taking care of an elderly gentleman who left his card at the bar. The bartender also made sure the lighting was corrected when someone made an error as it became dark outside. We will definitely come back to this location!“

“Every aspect of this experience was positive. My husband and I were promptly greeted with kindness. Our appetizer Bat & Ball was absolutely Delicious. the sausage and meatballs are made in house with bold savory and mouthwatering seasoning, cooked perfect. My Diablo shrimp was tasty with a spicy kick. great portion too! my husband devoured his chicken piccata! then on top dessert. we had cannolis. Regular and chocolate dipped both scrumptious crispy and savory! I highly recommend! Family business and friendly atmosphere.“

“Really spectacular place to eat. Affordable, friendly, family-run. The owner's niece, one of the few English-speakers working the day we came, helped us navigate the menu. The menu leans heavily on shrimp. Our only so-so item was the fish ceviche, which had great flavor but chewy texture.“

“Just really disappointed. Cheeseburger was requested medium rare. It came super rare cold in middle I think it was pulled right from package. Steak was perfect medium rare and delicious. First lobster bisque was lukewarm, 2nd was delicious and hot. first garlic mashed potatoes was room temp as well. No idea what 2nd was like I requested not to bring 2nd but they brought it anyways I did not try. Lobster was over cooked, funny that old Red Lobster was better to eat. Seems weird to say. They brought cheesecake in to go box. Why make it worse to open at home with 2 mini drops, one side. No care at all, husband and I just looked at it and laughed thought perfect end to awful meal.“

“If you’re looking for back to back boats of sushi this is the place! There’s no way you’re not leaving completely stuffed. For some reason, there’s always a video of the ocean being played. That’s pretty cool. Also, they have a bunch of Christmas decorations, which I don’t mind year round! sure, there’s some better options out there for fine dining, sushi , but this is a cheap good quality meal. Also, there’s always plenty of parking and wheelchair accessibility!“

“This was my very first time trying Caribbean food 10 out of 10 I had placed an order on DoorDash and they brought me only half the food and Staci that works there took the time out of her night when she got off to bring my food to me I will definitely be coming back ❤️❤️“

“Black Angus is one of my favorite places. They're Campfire Meals are our favorite thing to order. Our food was excellent and well timed. The bar makes great cocktails however, they did have some issues with getting a margarita correct which was weird. It looked like the restaurant was short handed that evening so we'll give them a pass on that one. Our steaks were cooked to perfection and we even got a birthday cookie! It was a great night and we'll be back again and again.“
