Being from Southern California, my wife and I can easily say this place is better than a lot of places in California. Our server was great, we didn't even know she was the owner till almost the end of the night. I found my new favorite sushi spot and highly recommend it.“

“Sushi Gen was an absolutely wonderful experience. The ambiance was nice and calm, service was quick and the restaurant was super clean. Our server Sven was a badass dude, very attentive and polite. The all you can eat was definitely worth it. I went in so hungry that I could've chewed the crotch off of a ragdoll and left with a 7 month food baby. Sashimi was pretty bomb.“

“This place is amazing. The sushi chef is an artist. His work is beautiful, and tastes great. This is by far the best sushi I have ever tasted. When I first tried them he was using purple sweet potatoes, so some of his sushi was purple. It was beautiful and tastes so good. He was also using fruit. Which was visually pleasing and also gave a unique flavor. I really wish he would continue to make sushi his way. But even if he doesn't it is still the best I have ever had. Anywhere else I have been I have had to cover my sushi in feel sauce. Not here, it is so good on it's own. All I can say is YUMM!!!.“

“The sushi roll and 25 piece sashimi were both really good. Fish tasted fresh and the sashimi pieces were generous and had nice textures. They served the sashimi platter with fresh wasabi which was a delicious surprise.

Staff was nice enough, but they really never came back to check on us or refill our water. I had to flag down another server to get more ginger. We were sitting at the sushi bar, so maybe that’s a part of it since our backs are turned.“

“Excellent sushi at the mall, it’s a fact. Sushi Roller holds its own ground amongst the dozen+ restaurants in the food court as a premiere sushi roller, in Albuquerque and beyond. I went with their Cottonwood Roll and was not disappointed. Recommend this place to anyone who is able to stop by and likes sushi.“

“The people here were very kind. We ordered the sushi, but the machine system was down for cards and the cash machine was locked. We were about to walk away, but one of the workers told us that they will make our food, free of charge, since their machines were down. It was very nice of them. My husband gave them a pretty good tip since the people there were wonderful.“

So much so that even though our server did not clearly explain the difference between "a-la cart" & "all-you-can-eat"... we just paid the bill we were given, & called it good with a 20% tip. Might have saved money with price per item but we enjoyed the meal too much to care!“
