LF Bakery Reviews
Best almond croissants in Halifax!
amazing croissants! everyone there is super friendly and welcoming, amazing bread and croissants!
Per my tradition when traveling, I visited nearly every patisserie in town that features traditional french style laminated pastries. LF is #1 for me in Halifax, really good basics, natural butter croissant is perfectly executed. Creations all balanced. Nothing is fussy or over manipulated. The seseme croissant is impressive, a bit muddy in its darkness, but it seems that was the goal and get's it away from asian flavour profiles. Good stuff!

LF Bakery is a well-known spot in Halifax, famous for its exceptional white sourdough, flavorful croissants, and delightful beignets. The bakery offers some of the best sourdough and croissants, with many customers praising these items as the best they have ever had. The homemade hazelnut spread is highly recommended. The bread products, especially the sandwiches, are of high quality and stand out. The bakery is also known for its croissants that come close to the taste of French croissants, with some even comparing them to those in Paris. The bakery appears very busy, especially early in the morning when fresh baguettes and baked goods are just out of the oven, filling the air with a wonderful smell. Customers often enjoy the excellent Americano and treats like croissants and beignets while visiting. The London Fog is also highly praised, though some mention it is difficult to judge if they are familiar with the drink. The bakery’s hours can be strange, with some closing early or being closed during advertised times, but when open, it remains a favorite destination. Street parking is available nearby. Overall, LF Bakery is appreciated for its top-quality products and friendly service, making it a special place to visit in Halifax.
