“This is a more upscale restaurant and reservations are encouraged. First off the service was impeccable and the ambiance quite nice, including the dishware. As for the food: we were 4 people and 3/4 had amazing meals. They were accommodating of all our dietary restrictions, both celiac and allergies. One of us ordered the steak which came out cold but they immediately replaced it. Even the second time the steak wasn't quite the cuisson ordered but at least it was warm. The appetizers were all fantastic so were the desserts. If it weren't for the one main. This place would have gotten a perfect score. I would give it 4.5 if I could award half points.“

“My husband and I came for dinner this evening. We barely ever go out anymore. We didn't have a reservation but we were welcomed as soon as we walked in the door. Our server Janine was so friendly and accommodating. She was brilliant. She knew the wine selection down to the vintage of the bottles. She also knew where all the products sold were sourced. The approachable knowledge she displayed allowed us to make the best choice for our meal. The haddock is truly long line practiced and remains fresh. The chef clearly poured their heart and soul into the flavour and presentation. We were beyond impressed with the whole experience. Thank you so much. We will be back for sure.“

“11/10. Absolutely phenomenal experience. They are SO patient and SO experienced. Nothing is out of the question as they can make anything possible. Your booking includes set-up and tear down by the staff, HUGE win. The staff were all so lovely and helpful. And obviously the space is GORGEOUS; very little decorations are even needed in the romantic moody room. We did our ceremony on the roof and it was SO special. Food incredible. We did a standing cocktail dinner and we had more than enough and continue to received compliments over the menu. This is SUCH an awesome spot!“

“We stopped in at The Wooden Monkey while travelling from Calgary & Vancouver last weekend and had an incredible experience. Even without a reservation, we were seated right away and warmly welcomed.
The whole team was great, but Hannah truly stood out—friendly, funny, knowledgeable and so genuine. She brought the whole farm-to-table concept to life with such passion.
The food was outstanding so flavourful and thoughtfully crafted—especially the kale Caesar, lamb ravioli, and seafood pasta. As Italians we were surprised by their take on bruschetta but it was a delicious and creative rendition on their house made focaccia. If only we lived closer so we could come back regularly. Highly recommend!“

“Since Covid I have very rarely been downtown and so today when I had the opportunity I went to my fave place and ordered the Pho GA and The lemon grass chicken Bahn-Mi. It was even better than I remembered! Lots of chicken, the yummy housemaid citrusy mayo and the bun which is absolutely amazing. The res chillies for me is what makes this so darn tasty - so thanks for that kind associate behind the counter who acccommodated my request!“

“We got our wedding cake and mini cupcakes here last September. They were beautiful and the cupcakes were delicious and fresh.

The cake was fresh and moist but tasted like coconut to us, when we had ordered vanilla. Neither of us like coconut so the cake went to waste but Im sure someone who liked coconut would have loved it. To make things right they gave us a replacement cake on our 1 year anniversary today and it was phenomenal. They even reached out to us to arrange a date so that I didn't have to remember.

I am truly impressed with the customer service and delicious cakes.

Also. My dogs highly recommend the pupcakes. They never leave a crumb left. It's one of their favourite special treats.“

“No hostess at the front to greet people walking in, waited 10 minutes and still nothing, server walked by us looking clueless and did not bother to help, called the restaurant from inside the restaurant, still no answer, then finally 2 hostesses came at once and we were finally seated at our table. Very poor start to dinner but the rest was flawless: food, service, atmosphere and value. We almost left, but glad we didn't. Way to recover, that was a close one!“

“A good place to try. Both shop + cafe, lots of light, good service. I enjoyed fish cake and berry dessert which name I can't remember but it tasted so good and fresh accompanied with coffee. No common fast food like fish and chips or hamburgers, which is good for me, because the food tastes like home made , gives different taste and emotions. I'll go there again for more desserts.“

“My family of 8 went to the “Middle Spoon” in the Sunnyside Mall for lunch. We enjoyed a variety of uniquely presented finger foods and very fancy mouthwatering desserts. It was served with hot beverages, chips, fresh fruit and warm SMILES! Our preordered luncheon, will be remembered and talked about for years to come. “My wife and I decided we wanted to eat out last evening. We weren’t necessarily looking for fast food, but we weren’t looking for fancy food either. We dropped by Krave Burger last evening and wow! The burgers were awesome and the fries were fresh cut and equally tasty with just the right amount of salt mixed in! The staff were wonderful and even recommended an alternate meal for us, which actually turned out to save us a little money. The person at the drive-through was courteous, smiled and was just lovely. She clearly enjoys her work and it shows. I know it’s just a burger and fries, but it was served with a friendly smile great service and we just loved it. Their burgers are amazing. You owe it to yourself to visit the shop.“

“I purchased a red velvet cake for my wife's birthday September 8th on September 9th after we had a piece we put it in the freezer I took it out today I thought a piece and it was still the most moist flavorful piece of cake I've ever had in my entire life I would recommend this Bakery for anything and anybody and for any occasion I will definitely be back again and again it is worth every single penny thank you so much for an amazing cake my wife loved it“

“Staff were really good, I walked in and placed my order and was out of there in under 10 minutes. The fries were excellent however with all the reviews I was a little disappointed by the ribs. I found them pretty flavourful however they were definitely on the dry side.

Maybe it was an off night but for a BBQ place I really expected a bit better.“
