“Stopped by the counter at Wild Leek on Saturday morning and ended up staying way longer than planned just taking pictures of the light coming through the front windows. The avocado toast with the poached egg was genuinely great, and the woman working the juice station was happy to let me snap a shot of her pouring a beet blend without making it weird. It's a tight little spot so don't expect a ton of seating, but the exposed brick and plants make for a really nice backdrop if you're into that kind of thing. Already planning to go back with my camera on a quieter weekday morning to catch it before the rush.“

“Stopped by on a Saturday night trip from Ontario and ended up at Edna on a friend's recommendation, no regrets at all. The scallops were some of the best I've had, perfectly seared, and the whole menu felt like it actually understood Nova Scotia seafood instead of just cashing in on it. Our server knew the wine list cold and didn't rush us even though the place was packed. Small dining room so it gets loud, but honestly that just added to the fun, lively vibe of the night.“

“My friend's and I recently had lunch at La Piazza. The food was absolutely delicious, the service exemplary and the atmosphere is very cozy. “We stopped in on a weeknight after wandering around Halifax all day and were glad this place was still buzzing with a relaxed crowd. My husband got the sticky toffee pudding and I had a pot of tea, and honestly both were better than we expected for a casual cafe. The staff were friendly and didn't rush us even though it was getting close to closing time, which we really appreciated after a long day of sightseeing. We loved the cozy little atmosphere with the mismatched chairs and soft lighting, and we'll definitely stop by again next time we're in town.“

“Stopped by for a coffee last Friday evening and the place was as good as ever, honestly one of the few spots in Dartmouth where I don't mind waiting a few extra minutes for my order. Got the mocha and a slice of their carrot cake, and the cake was so fresh it tasted like it came out of the oven an hour before. The staff behind the counter recognized me from previous visits and even remembered my usual order, which is a nice touch after all these years. It gets a bit busy around six but there's a small patio out back that's perfect for unwinding after work.“

“My son and I attended the John Prine Tribute Show Saturday night; the talent was spectacular and the food was delicious. Unfortunately, during the music break, I became ill very suddenly (non alcohol related), and got sick as I tried to reach the washroom. I was so embarassed and upset, but a lovely customer and the owner were incredible. Emma and Karen made sure I was well taken care of, cleaning me up, calming me down, rubbing my back, getting me water and wet/dry cloths. I can't thank you both enough! “Saturday evening (Feb 18) we randomly decided to stop by Jinloong for supper. We don't eat out much these days, but we were feeling like a treat. :) My husband had a combo Special A. It was a huge portion and delicious. I want to mention that my husband always finishes his plate. However, this meal was not only delicious but filling too. He had enough for in dining and leftovers for a take away lunch on Monday ! I ordered the Singapore Noodles, with no meat or shrimp. Our waiter was so helpful to make a lovely fresh enormous bowl of noodles with extra veggies for me. It was wonderful and I went home with 3 days of leftovers!! YAY!! This was such a great meal for "penny pinches" like us haha I'd like to say our experience at Jinloong was 5 stars, but I wish I could give an extra 5 stars for the lovely, helpful service we received from our waiter. He was a delight!! So kind, helpful and friendly. If you are looking for a Chinese restaurant don't look any further than Jinloong. The homemade sauces are absolutely worth every penny. The portions are fantastic, and the service is GREAT! We'll be back soon. I've included a photo of all our leftovers. Your booking includes set-up and tear down by the staff, HUGE win. The staff were all so lovely and helpful. And obviously the space is GORGEOUS; very little decorations are even needed in the romantic moody room. We did our ceremony on the roof and it was SO special. Food incredible. We did a standing cocktail dinner and we had more than enough and continue to received compliments over the menu. This is SUCH an awesome spot!“

They all came with a side and we tried all three - the soup, mixed green salad and the ceasar salad. Everything was delicious! Only complaint is we were never checked on for additional drink refill - other than that really good.“

The burgers were awesome and the fries were fresh cut and equally tasty with just the right amount of salt mixed in! The staff were wonderful and even recommended an alternate meal for us, which actually turned out to save us a little money. The person at the drive-through was courteous, smiled and was just lovely. “The beef brisket was very, very juicy expected a little bit more but that’s OK. The pulled pork I found to be a little dry, but it was tasty. The sauce were all amazing. The cornbread was very fresh and also very tasty and the little mini corn dogs well there are mini corn dogsall in all. I was happy that I spotted it when I was downtown Halifax great service good food. That’s my Chico in the background. He also enjoyed the barbeque from bone heads.“
