“This is a Nova Scotia icon. Lobster is delicious. Restaurant was rebuilt a few years ago and has several levels in and outdoors to eat. You can also get take out. You order your food at the lovely gift shop on the main level.
This summer the main road washed out with a big rain storm. Follow google maps to the west road to park at the restaurant. Walking access to both sides of the harbour is now available.
Halls Harbour experiences some of the highest tide changes in the world which makes it interesting to see the differences at high and low tide times. There is also a neat little art gallery/ craft shop on the opposite side of the harbour to pop into.”

“There are lots of good things to say about Dayan. The place is clean, the owner is super friendly, and the portion sizes are 1/3 larger for the price than we've gotten at any sushi place in Halifax or the Valley. On the down side, we had 5 different rolls between us, all spicy, and unfortunately the sauce was so heavy handed that the only taste differentiation was the fact that some had teriyaki sauce and some didn’t. The rolls were also a bit hard to eat as they fell apart when picked up. Fresh food and good value, but a little more variety in flavour would be appreciated.”

However we ordered in the fish and chips the 2nd night but they had no vinegar whatsoever
We both enjoy malt vinegar and they sent very little ketchup
They guy who took our order seemed put off that I questioned him about the vinegar. Curty asked if I still wanted it”

“Table of 4. Seafood platter was delish! Turkey dinner with all the trimmings was delish! Club sandwich and turkey vegetable soup was delish! Server was nice, got everything right nice. The handwritten sign around the place like "please don't linger more than an hour" and "only pay with small bills" is a bit tacky though. Maybe a refesh on the esthetics would be good. Overall though, good little back road-y diner!”

“Best pizza I've ever had. My first choice when ordering pizza and it's always good. Garlic fingers are really good too. The staff are honest and friendly. Yes sometimes there is a bit of a wait time but that's what happens when everyone wants to eat from the best pizza place around. Always worth the wait though.”

“Portabella mushroom melt. This thing has been around forever but this was my first time trying it. Tried it with and without my hot sauce and I have to say, both versions were absolutely to die for. Highly recommend if you have been on the fence about it, dawdle no more. It smelled SO good I forgot to take a picture of it and dove right in. Disappointed by the lack of photo but certainly not by the flavour or the presentation. Ask for extra napkins if you're in the drive thru.”

“Everytime I go to this Tim Horton's, most stock is out. However, it is 24 hours so that makes up for it. The staff are usually friendly, and the drinks taste the best of the Tim's in the valley.”

“This is.The third time in the last 3 weeks and you guys still don't have any salt and pepper. I don't get it. We come at 10 o'clock in the morning and there's no salt and pepper. 3 weeks needs to be fixed.”
