“There are lots of good things to say about Dayan. The place is clean, the owner is super friendly, and the portion sizes are 1/3 larger for the price than we've gotten at any sushi place in Halifax or the Valley. On the down side, we had 5 different rolls between us, all spicy, and unfortunately the sauce was so heavy handed that the only taste differentiation was the fact that some had teriyaki sauce and some didn’t. The rolls were also a bit hard to eat as they fell apart when picked up. Fresh food and good value, but a little more variety in flavour would be appreciated.”

“Stopped by for a late lunch last Saturday and ended up staying almost two hours because the booth by the window was just too comfortable to leave. The hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy was the kind of homestyle plate you don't get much anymore, hearty without being heavy. Our server kept the coffee coming without us even asking and remembered my friend's order from a previous visit, which says a lot about how they treat regulars. Parking right out front made the whole stop easy, and honestly it's exactly the kind of no-fuss diner I look for when I'm passing through small towns.”

“This is the BEST Tim's. I drive 10 min out of my way each day just to purchase here. My coffee is perfect every time. The staff is friendly and fast. The manager goes above and beoynd. The New Minas Location is the worst I've ever been too, all locations should take a lead from the Kentville drive thru location.”

“What an awesome day for a drive for the First Monday in April 2023. Sunshine, the the forest bones of winter shaking off the cold. Trip from Halifax to New Minas to Big Mike Pizza. Definitely worth the drive. Definitely our favourite pizza.”

“I usually get a coffee with cream which has always been delicious coffee but today got a vanilla iced coffee and it seriously tasted like something you’d order in Hawaii! Glad to have a something comparable until I can go back to the islands! We love the coffeehouse!!!”

“I went to the Naked Crepe with my girlfriends today. It was my first experience having a crepe. I chose the donair crepe. It was huge, so filling with delicious locally made donair meat. I also had their homemade soup which was heart and tasty as well. My friends had dessert crepes and all raved about their individual flavours. Our server was delightful and we were quickly waited on and served. 10/10 will definitely be back. 😊”

“used to love the dairy free ice cream, but unfortunately since the original owners have sold the business it's just not the same. the ice cream is completely different and doesn't taste the same, and the gluten free waffle cones are always stale. unfortunately I would not recommend this place anymore.”

We placed our order at the gift shop, and they gave us our number table. The good was delivered promptly, hot, and friendly service.

“I ordered two large pizzas for a Superbowl party, the day before Superbowl to be picked up at 5:30. One was 'TheWorks', the other was half Hawaiian, the other half pepperoni and mushroom--BUT these two ingredients had to be on top of the cheese. When I arrived at 5:30, the second pizza was just coming out of the oven. When I got to the party, the guys checked out the pizzas and they were gone within 20 minutes. They all said they were glad I chose Valley Pizza for the party. Thanks, Valley Pizza!”

“Ate here Wednesday during lunch hour with a group of 11. Had made reservations prior and were seated right away. Were seated in a room with lots of old photographs on the walls which were large and interesting to read about. Tables are spacioulsy separated so you can enjoy conversation with those at your table, even with it being as long as it was! I also took a look outside and their outside seating area is beautiful with great views! Our waitress was attentive and friendly! One guest enjoyed beer, others wine and myself the blueberry cream soda which was delicious! We didn't wait too long for our meals and they all came out together. I enjoyed my prosciutto flatbread, others had fish & chips, seafood chowder, fishcakes, chicken & brie sandwich, and the reuben. All the food was hot and there were no complaints! Unfortunately we were too full for dessert, but all the choices sounded great!”

“Saw some of the menu pics online for this hidden Wolfville spot and was eager to try. (Scallops, sausage and risotto!) Unfortunately they have actually gone to simply a lunch spot due to time for family (totally respect that!) and only offer daytime service and specifically lunch/sandwich items. But a few of the early reviews also mention the chicken sandwich being heavenly so this and a Jarritos Mandarin was the order of choice. (Companion had a Fish Sandwich and diet coke!) Glowing reviews were right about the Sandwich. Chicken was fried to perfection with a soft bun and perfect amount of slaw and sauce to make it tasty. (Got mild but you can go spicy if desired!) Put's the Popeye's Spicy Chicken Sandwich to shame! Had a bite of the Fish Sandwich as well and it was also a notably delicious choice. All in all since their lunch fare was so good would have loved to try those dinner items, but family coming first for them is apparently just like their great food - a sign of care and excellence. Yummy.”

“We ordered delivery last night and the delivery driver called to apologize for the delay- I didn’t even think it was taking long! He let us know he would be another 15 minutes and again apologized. When he got to our place, he gave us a free pop to make up for the wait. Again, I really didn’t think it was taking that long but I really appreciated his customer service!!
