“I am from Ontario in town to take care of family matters for my Auntie. I stopped by Edible Matters a few days ago and got cheerful and excellent service from a young blonde man. He made me my first and memorable bluenose latte! It was soul soothing and so yummy! Today, I stopped by again, to get another one and was so impressed by the 3 service staff behind the counter! Kind, courteous, efficient, professional, and genuine. 5 stars ⭐️ I realized later I left my wallet.; it was kept safely behind the counter. I arrived rather distraught…from that and other things. Seeing that I was promptly offered a really big, supportive, you-got-this, we-got-you too, it’s going to be ok HUG 🤗!!! Not once…but twice…by the sweetest young woman. I should have asked her name. I hugged her back too hard and definitely too long! lol It was complete medicine and helped so much. Thank you. The other 2 young men behind the counter were also empathetic too. The reason I went to Edible Matters was because my Auntie loved it…and shared it w me. I think the first hug was from the barista and the second one from Auntie…in the way she could 😇 I am so grateful to your staff for the excellent service, healing tea, keeping my wallet safe and such genuine kindness.”

“Decided to try the plant based works pizza on a cauliflower crust after receiving my free coupon (thank you!). Service was great at this location, and the pizza was good as well (tasted like a normal works pizza), although the crust wasn’t what I was expecting for a cauliflower crust. I thought it would be chewy, but it was honestly more like the consistency of a thin crust pizza, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing! Thanks Greco!!”

“We had excellent service on Canada Day 2024 with our friendly waitress Pal. She was very helpful and kept checking on our party of 12 ages from 3 to 80, to make sure everyone had what they wanted. She put treats on the Robot and had the children go get their treats off the tray on it, which was a highlight for them. We could tell she enjoys waitressing because she does it to perfection. The food was delicious and plated appetizingly, too!”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ !! The Prospect Road location is going to be such a well loved location - so much so that, I don’t think the staff realized how much of the community would flock there. They’re BUSY, and out of ingredients, but the staff there were HUSTLING around, smiling and getting orders out that they could. I expect delays at the beginning. They never expected so much traffic, give them patience folks and expect a mess up in your order possibly or wait until they are fully loaded and in the flow with the area. Otherwise incredible sub (despite picking off a couple things I didn’t ask for), the bread was amazing, still 10/10 would go back, and didn’t even care it was chaotic. Inside though although small, its essentially a novelty convenience store with local goodies. They have a little bakery section with homemade stuff, the moon mist fudge was incredible and a must try! They also had a bunch of “Jones Soda” flavours that I’ve never seen before anywhere around here - even at the big candy stores, (like s’mores and the fallout edition one) which was pretty cool!! They still have ice cream and everything that was at multi scoop - just with a lot more options and delicious fresh options to go. Something for ANYONE at a really reasonable price. “I had the pleasure of attending a private event hosted at the Mellow Mug last Friday night. As a first-time visitor, I found it to be a very welcoming space, from the decor to the seating. I think I was lucky to be attending an event after hours, when I believe their stock in baked goods to be low. As it was, I had difficulty narrowing my choice down past 3 items. I can just imagine the increased difficulty it would have been first thing in the morning with a full complement of goodies. The very friendly staff helped me to narrow my choice to one and if the cookie I ate was an example of the high quality of their baked goods, then I am grateful that I live half an hour away and not around the corner. The selection of drinks offered was also amazing and I look forward to visiting again during their regular hours.”

“I Love Locally Baked Outlet!! Kelly is great in assisting or whatever helping to find what you're looking for. I've bought many things at their store. I used to buy a lot of goodies when I would visit my sister in Halifax. Now that there is a place in Sydney I can visit there or even get my son to pick up some things that I want. “What a great spot! Such friendly staff, and a wonderful variety of baked goods, lunches, coffees, slushies, and of course, caramels! My daughter and I had the best cheese toasties we have ever had 🤤, the Lure latte was very yummy and not too sweet, and the kids' sized slushy was the cutest, most perfect size. We enjoyed sitting outside, and of course had to test a caramel, as well (again: SO yummy and not overly sweet). We'll be back for sure! Thanks again! 🥰”
