“We had a spectacular family lunch today at Cocoa Pesto. The bacon haddock chowder was easily the best I've had. Others had beef and bean tacoes, ham and cheese panini & fish and chips. “Had the best Reuban sandwich there yesterday. The only thing better than the sandwich was our server, Dawn -a delight! We were pampered and pleased to learn a little of her Acadian roots. She's a certified sommelier and we learned that the chef is a graduate of the grand culinary school de Paris - Le Cordon Bleu. One bite confirms his expertise!
Before we left, we visited one of their guest rooms- a sight to behold. An overnight stay would certainly be divine. C'est certain.

“We took my son here for his birthday, he is visiting from Alberta. We chose Bent Ridge because of his love for wood fire pizza and because my daughter is quadriplegic and we needed accessibility. “We visited Luckett Vineyards in Nova Scotia on a Friday in early November, about an hour before closing. We were the only customers the entire time, which made for a wonderfully quiet and relaxing experience. The vineyard itself is absolutely stunning and the setting is peaceful.
We tried the Tidal Bay white wine along with a charcuterie board. The wine was fantastic — crisp, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. The charcuterie was very good as well, and we felt it offered great value for what we got.
I’ll definitely be returning in the warmer months to enjoy more of the outdoor scenery. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxing vineyard experience!”

“One of the best kept secrets in Nova Scotia. This little restaurant punches well above its weight, by maintaining popularity among people who want Canadian Chinese good, and myself who craves authentic Chinese. The cooks are from Chongqing, and make some of my favourites. Hard to go wrong with the MaPo “spicy” Tofu (麻婆豆腐), Suan Cai Yu (酸菜鱼) “Sichuan Fish soup with pickled mustard greens”, Garlic fried broccoli, and white rice. Plenty of other great dishes.

If you crave legit mainland Chinese food, this place is a must visit.
