50 Best Dog Friendly Restaurants Lower Sackville

“Saturday evening (Feb 18) we randomly decided to stop by Jinloong for supper. We don't eat out much these days, but we were feeling like a treat. :) My husband had a combo Special A. It was a huge portion and delicious. I want to mention that my husband always finishes his plate. However, this meal was not only delicious but filling too. He had enough for in dining and leftovers for a take away lunch on Monday ! I ordered the Singapore Noodles, with no meat or shrimp. Our waiter was so helpful to make a lovely fresh enormous bowl of noodles with extra veggies for me. It was wonderful and I went home with 3 days of leftovers!! YAY!! This was such a great meal for "penny pinches" like us haha I'd like to say our experience at Jinloong was 5 stars, but I wish I could give an extra 5 stars for the lovely, helpful service we received from our waiter. He was a delight!! So kind, helpful and friendly. If you are looking for a Chinese restaurant don't look any further than Jinloong. The homemade sauces are absolutely worth every penny. The portions are fantastic, and the service is GREAT! We'll be back soon. I've included a photo of all our leftovers. “A foodie’s paradise and our new favourite restaurant! There were four of us, and we each ordered a different breakfast. Every dish was packed with flavour, and we honestly couldn’t decide which one was the best. We shared a slice of cheesecake to finish our meal, and it was the best we’ve ever eaten! The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we’ll definitely be back.“

Having the chef come out with the waiter to explain what was in each dish / course was also fun. They took extra care because of allergies too! And of course get a fancy cocktail, you won’t regret it 😉“

“Among the better coffee spots in Halifax. Cappuccino was perfect and the sesame peanut butter cookie is a must have with coffee here. Not much seating here if you want a sit down coffee experience but it’s a good to go place for lunch break or to take to public gardens on a nice day“

“Stopped in with hubby and the doggies for lunch. Was thrilled we could have the dogs with us at the table on the patio and that there were water bowls provided. Service was a little slow and unfortunately our order got lost and it took a while to get our food. Kitchen tried to rush the meal to make up for the delay and our spinach dip was still cold in the middle. Overall the food was good and I would return to try the food again.“

“A great brewery right next to the cruise board with a variety of delicious peers. They have a 13 beer flight and a 10 beer flight, both are great to share if you’re looking to try some of the flavors of Halifax beer. There are many great beers here and some great Takeaway beers all very close to the cruise port dock. Make sure to get off the boat and grab a quick pint!“

“Our server was very helpful with directions about Halifax. She was not put out at all and seemed genuinely kind. She was prompt and attentive. The chicken wings were tasty, the margarita was far to sour, in my oppion. Very much an irish pub menu.“

“My family and I ate here a few weeks ago when we were visiting Halifax. My spouse has celiac and so eating out is a bit dicey. After reading the menu and reviews, we wanted to give the Wooden Monkey a try. It was an absolutely wonderful experience. The atmosphere was lovely, comfortable and unique. The service was friendly and professional. The food was delicious and top quality. The intention and ethics of the restaurant are inspiring. Our server, Bridgid, was patient and enthusiastic, making my young kids feel welcome. My spouse enjoyed his meal and felt good afterwards. This is our new favorite restaurant (even though we live 1,000 miles away!).“

“My friend's and I recently had lunch at La Piazza. The food was absolutely delicious, the service exemplary and the atmosphere is very cozy. The cheesecake is delicious but a tad over priced, as were all the deserts, in my opinion. All in all, a very nice experience and we will definitely be going back for our monthly Ladies Lunch.“

“Since Covid I have very rarely been downtown and so today when I had the opportunity I went to my fave place and ordered the Pho GA and The lemon grass chicken Bahn-Mi. It was even better than I remembered! Lots of chicken, the yummy housemaid citrusy mayo and the bun which is absolutely amazing. The food may have been just slightly overcooked but only if we’re being picky. The fish dishes were also really good and clam chowder was 10/10.
