“After finishing the Kit Carson Trail and exploring the many historic homes and landmarks, we happened upon this charming coffee shop and restaurant.

The ambience is unique and fun—definitely not your typical coffee stop. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which added to the overall pleasant experience.

We arrived close to closing time, so some of the food had been sitting out for a bit, but even so, it was still quite good. We’d like to come back earlier in the day to try everything at its freshest.

Overall, a nice surprise and a spot we’d happily return to.“

“On our way back from Yosemite we stopped for dinner at 7pm. My wife had the Cajun Chicken Pasta with blackened chicken and a dinner salad. She Sid her Mel was excellent. The chicken was so tender it could be cut with a fork. She said she would have liked the Cajun seasoning on the pasta too. I had the 12oz Prime Rib with baked potato and house salad. East Coast Prime Rib is very tender and extremely fatty. The Prime Rib I ordered he very little fat and was very firm tasting. It came with two types of butter, sour cream, cream horseradish and au jus. My meal was very filling and excellent. Our waitress Shanna was very good.“

“I recently visited the Jersey Mike’s Subs in Carson City, and the experience was genuinely satisfying from start to finish. The quality of the food stood out right away—freshly sliced meats, crisp veggies, and bread that tasted like it had just come out of the oven. My sub was assembled with care, well-balanced in flavor, and lived up to the reputation Jersey Mike’s is known for.

“Highly recommend, from decor to the food to the service. I give it 5 STARS. The salad was prepared very well. the burgers were cooked just how we like them. The presentation when the food was brought was done exquisitely. Service couldn't be any better the waitress and help staff was superb.“

“You’ll notice that I gave Wingstop four stars out of five. I don’t actually have much of a problem with their food, but there was one issue with it. I’ll explain shortly.

The atmosphere was excellent. I was genuinely impressed by how much Wingstop has grown since I used to visit nearly every month when I lived in Austin. The locations there were tiny with only a handful of tables inside, but it’s clear that in places like Carson City, they’ve become very popular... and rightfully so.

The service was very good. The man at the register took out a notepad to communicate more effectively with me. My phone can only do so much in loud environments, so it struggled to transcribe what he was saying. He didn’t waste time and simplified our communication method, and things went quickly from that point on.

There was a bit of a wait for my food, but I chose to eat at a very busy time when the place was packed. When it arrived, it was delicious, with a small catch.

The Louisiana Rub was as delicious as I remembered, but it was too salty for my palate. Now I’m regretting getting fries instead of a side of veggies to cut down on the salt.

In terms of deliciousness: 5/5 stars.
In terms of healthiness: 4/5 stars.

I guess the missing star is probably more my fault than theirs, but they could reduce the amount of salt in the seasoning mix without losing any quality. It’s a very good mix, very savory.“

“My wife and I love the atmosphere and customer service. We frequent often and we adore Barbara, the Hostess/Greeter. All we ask, regarding the coffee, is that you assess the brand and/or water to ground coffee ratio. No where near the quality of surrounding casino coffees. It tends to keep us away for that reason only, lately. Thank you.“

“Every time I get breakfast they have a guy washing the driveway with high pressure washer and a bucket of soap. This should be done at night I don't appreciate the over spray all over my car. I actually think they are violating the law by throwing a bucket of soapy water on the driveway and washing it into the street. It then goes down the gutter. I've stopped going to this location because of this.“
